Pre-Sneak:
So, alarm woke me up at 6:00AM. I said "Damn it, I'm tired." Went back to sleep, woke up at 6:30, and went online for an hour. Left the house. went to Garrett's house. Waited like 40 minutes for Caltrain and proceeded to make my deck on the train. I decided to use Garrett's Black Garden deck teched with Jujitsu Masters and Wraths. It took us an hour and 10 minutes to reach the venue.
During Sneak:
Bought my packs, pulled a Power Tool Ultimate and Koa'ki garbage. Went around for trades. Traded Gorz for Mirror Force, then proceeded to trade my friend, Brandon for his ultimate Tigers. After like 20 minutes, I got more trades. Traded a Rose Warrior for Allure and some other stuff. I test decked against this one fool running Gladiator Beast. I won game 1 but lost 2. Took game 3, though. Anyways, Construction started and I played the dude who traded me the Mirror Force!
Round 1:
Game 1: He ran a Dark deck with Floaters. Needless to say, I lost cause he Pro-Heavy, Swap and attacked. Damn Giant Germs!
Game 2: Yeah, took forever. I stalled it out with lions and garden. He eventually lost his hand and he couldn't recover. Bottomless saved my buttocks. Went into time.
Game 3: He went first. Foolish into treeborn and Snipe. I opened double Princess, Mark, Wrath, Mirror and Typhoon. I set Wrath, Mirror and Typhoon. He attacks, I mirror. He sets, I MST. I go, top Tomato and attack. Game?
So, I immediately have to play round 2. Sucks Donkeys.
Round 2:
Game 1: Knew this dude from Regs. He goes set 4 and end. I go summon lonefire into Princess, attack he Scrap-Irons. A fury of cards later and he had to end up protecting Liqauri. He solemned a fertilizer. I normal summon Lonefire into my second one and he scoops next turn.
Game 2: Cold Wave -> Cat -> Tiger and Samnite -> Darius into Bestiari -> Gyzarus. Game?
Game 3: This went back and forth. I kept putting pressure with Princess and Fertilizer. He teched Skill Drain with Barbaros. but drew them at the wrong time. Good Game, man.
Brake Time! Went to 7-Eleven for food, came back. Traded a bit and went to
Round 3:
Game 1: I got pooped on.
Game 2: I had Garden and Light Mirror out. He had Garoth. Everytime I tried to run it over I got Honested. DAMN! Lost. Fun Duel, though. I had the weirdest Lifepoints... something like 3262 and a half.
Again, I immediately had to play Round 4.
Round 4:
Game 1: Another Lightsworn. Sucks. I win, though as I stall it out with Gardens and he decks out.
Game 2: Pooped on by JD.
Game 3: Game goes back and forth. I have him with 2 Princesses and a Garden out. We go into time and I win. Good Game.
AND AGAIN! I have to play immediately.
Round 5 (AKA ON THE BUBBLE!):
Game 1: I knew him from locals. He ran Samurai. He opened with Zanji. I set Sangan and Wrath and end. He swings into Sangan, I pull Lonefire. Somehow, it comes to a point where he's holding Typhoon to my garden and 2 tokens. He misplays, summons Zanji and Grandmaster, then typhoons. Later, I did something stupid and summon Breaker , when I could've attacked for game. He torrentials, I solemn, he solemns. Luckily, he couldn't follow up. I top Lion for game.
Game 2: He sets up a massive drawing machine with Grandmaster w/ Spirit, Reckless and United. I couldn't keep up. Scooped.
Game 3: Goes back and Forth. Goes to a point where I'm controlling with two Princess and a set Wall of Thorn. He's top-decking and is left with Reborn and Yaichi in hand. GG.
So, YAY! I TOP 8. Not surprisingly, I had to play immediately after my win. No rest, lol. Somewhere, I believe I get trades... Forgot... So many trades!
Top 8:
Game 1: Against Blackwing. I'm not sure how my deck handles this cause I never played against one all day. I somehow win with a timed Morphing Jar.
Game 2: Black Rose says "' 'eff you!"
Game 3: At this point, I'm scared. However, I start with Shoot and saw his hand of Roar, 2 Gales, 2 Kualt and Shura. Somewhere down the road, he goes blind allure. Looses Reborn and Mirror O.O . I take it shortly after.
And so, Yes, I play immediately after.
Top 4:
Game 1: Tried to deck him out but double Celestia and Wulf got me.
Game 2: Cold Wave and Celestia take a poo-poo on me.
So, I loose out to Sacksworn. I get my 4 packs. I pull Anti-Reverse and Curse of Super Ancient Organism. Trade the allure and Anti for Super Bestiari, TP 7 Breaker and Vandy. I trade Super Ancient for CP Spy. I drop a Rai-Oh and crap supers for Earthbound Apu. Then I trade Powertool Ultimate for GB stuff to complete the deck.
Fast Forward to leaving time. I buy 2 Gyzarus for 6 at the store cause it was 50% off. Garrett mentions that I made 43 misplays. Funny Garrett. He proceeds to buy a Special Edition for $9 and pull Prime Falcon and STRIKE FIGHTER! Good Yu-Gi-Oh!z . I buy some good candy and a soda. Person gives me change in pennies. FML.
Take Cal-Train, Garrett takes my GB stuff, play some Mario Kart, and I arrive like an hour later. I spend like 10 mins trying to get the machine to take my money for a ticket. Luckily, I catch my BART. I get to my station, and wait 15 mins to use the bathroom. I walk home and get some cards through the mail I wanted to use for the Sneak. FML.
Overall, good day.
Oh, I realized that I never 2-0ed anyone...
