I figured I could start this for all the players here in Tampa, since the MOSI tournament got moved to another location Hero's Haven has been booming on Saturday Mornings.
I'm showing this to Bob tomorrow, so he can check it on the Friday prior to the tournament and get a list of players so all we will have to do is sign in when we get there and so we can save time in the morning.
A lot of you may not have Pojo accounts, and some of you may, for those of you who don't I highly suggest getting one, it is free and the advice, strategies, tips, and info you get here is a great addition to your current knowledge of the game.
I personally will not be competing tomorrow in the tournament but I will be there. I will have this link for everyone so we can communicate during the week outside of just on Saturday.
See you all tomorrow.
Sincerely, GUY

Location: Dale Mabry and Erlich Rd.
Time:
Starts: 12:30 - 1 pm
Ends: (The shop stays open till 9pm, so whenever we get done.
Directions:
*While heading South on Dale Mabry: after the Bearss intersection pass the Pizza Hut on your Left, the following plaza is where the tournament is.
*While heading North on Dale Mabry: You will pass a Plaza on your Right with a Grillsmith and a Red Elephant restaurant in it, you will see a Sweet Tomatoes on your Right it is that Plaza. When you turn in the store is Right in front of you.
There is a Sweet Tomatoes, Office Depot, ABC store, and a AAA office in the plaza as well, the store is in the back right hand corner next to the Pizza place.
Tournament fee: $5
Tournament Judge: Bob
For new players that are just getting into the game, Bob likes to help out new players, he will sometimes look at your collection of cards and help you put together a deck that will be more playable. Some of the players there like myself do this as well.
Prizes: More on this subject later today, I do know that with entry into the tournament a player receives a Championship Pack
Shop Owner: Jason (Bubba)
Just to let new people know, this shop is a comic book shop but it has everything a duelist needs, Booster Packs, Starter Decks, Card Sleeves, Deck Boxes, and a venue to sit down meet people and trade cards. Plus plenty of Table Space.
Just to let you know, the store has found a new location not even 10 Minutes away from its current location, they will be moving soon. I will update the original post when this occurs.

Hey guys.
Bob here. Just wanted to let anyone wanting to play at Heroes' Haven that the tournaments are $5.00 like Sam stated. Currently every player entering gets a CP08. Based on the number of players more CP08 or store credit will be handed out. Last week Sam Jones got the Spellcaster stater deck and 1 CP08 for winning. Second place got 1-2 CP08.
Once the CP08 run out we will go back to store credit for at least the top 4 (based on number of players). On average we have 15 player. Then the prize fund would break down as follows (as store credit):
1st - 35.00
2nd-20.00
with 3rd/4th - 10.00 each.
We try and start as close to 1:00 as possible. 4 swiss rounds breaking to either top 4 or 8 depending on number of entries.
If you are a newer player and we have enough newer players, we can have a special tournament for you to gain experience and playing knowledge of your deck.
One final note. Since Heroes' Haven is having free comic day on May 2nd, the sneak peek will be held on May 3rd. Provided we get our order in from KDE. For more information about the sneak peek, check out the KDE site at the link below.

Two things were confirmed on Shriek guys.
First off is another card in the Gold Series 2 set
Des Volstgalph (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Des_Volstgalph)
They have not confirmed if he will be Gold Rare or not but I do know that he was only available as a Shonen Jump Prize card until now and he will fit great in my deck.
Another card I am speculating will be in this set for certain reasons is Doomcaliber Knight (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Doomcaliber_Knight), because the original Shonen Jump Prize card Cyber Stien has been reprinted, Crush Card has been, Shrink was lowered to a promo. The only 3 that haven't are Gold Sarcophagus, Des Volstgalph, and Doomcaliber Knight. Just a speculation.
The other thing that I would like to let you guys in on, and make sure that Bubba pre-orders is:
Duelist Pack Yugi
What I Know:
*This is supposed to release prior to Gold Series
*New art for Dark Magician Girl
*New art for Dark Paladin
*Sorcerer of Dark Magic
*Mirror Force
*And a lot of people want to see the release of *Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Chimera_the_Flying_Mythical_Beast)
*Berformet (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Berfomet)
*I want to see this version of Polymerization (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Polymerization_(Fusion))
*Reprints of the Magnets (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Valkyrion)
*Life Shaver (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Life_Shaver) would be a cool card but it might cause problems for some people that play today
*and finally Mystical Refpanel (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Mystical_Refpanel) being released would be nice, so would Magician's Selection (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Magician%27s_Selection) but I might be pushing it.
All that I know is that Mirror Force is being reprinted, probably as a Super or Ultra Rare but still being reprinted, and I have never owned one so I will buy this pack. Also don't forget to think about a Duelist Pack Kaiba, Joey, Marrik, or even Mai for all I care.
Here is a Link to the Yugi Moto (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Yugi_Muto) page on Wikia with all the cards he used in all the seasons.
Happy Speculating all:D

I've got Bubba ordering any new product that comes out. Remember, the more people buy from Bubba, the cheaper he might beable to get product. Getting a case from KDE is cheaper than another supplier. If you are at all interested in boxes, please let Bubba know.

Additional Comment:
Two more Gold Rares have been confirmed, at least on Wikia

Both very playable now and both will be looked for by almost everyone.

Hey when does GS2 Get Released and how Much is The Case and The Packs?
What Can We Do To For A Cash Tournoment?
We Need Like Crush Cards Tournments Or The Fact The We Can Recieve Cards For Winning.
We Need More Parallel Cards, and Ultra Pro Sleeves lol.....:)
guynthebackseat
04-21-2009, 04:23 PM
Gold series 2 release date is set for May 27th
Packs contain 25 cards and I believe 3 Gold Rare cards
and based on Gold Series 1's Prices a pack will cost $25, a box contains 5 packs, and a case includes 10 Boxes. So it would cost less than $125 for a Box of Gold Series 2 because they give you a discount when you buy the box, and a case would cost less than $1, 2 5 0
Define Cash Tournament if you could
I know that Bubba has some tournament prize cards or he used to, I won Call of the Haunted in Parallel not to long ago, (BTW I have a Parallel Rare Dust Spirit Card if you want it)
Bubba should have those on order.
Now that we have his questions sorted out here is a bit more info on Gold Series 2 Cards
2 New confirmed Gold Rares:
Raiza the Storm Monarch (Gold)
Phoenix Wing Blast (Gold)
E-Hero Captain Gold most likely a common
As for Prize cards in tournaments that are not Parallel Rares I might be willing to put up some cards for the tournament as incentive for a player to win.
Another thing that might be nice is if the Winner of the tournament was posted up on this thread each week, and if they want to list their deck for players to envy or try out they can.
Bob and I have talked about also trying to get a pre-tournament sign up going on either here or at the shop so we can arrange things quicker, you see the tournament is supposed to start at 1:00 - 1:30 pm and I have seen lately that it doesn't start till 1:30 - 2:00 pm which makes it hard for players that have late work schedules to participate (aka Me)
The final thing I want to bring up is that this thread can also be used to allow players to discuss and organize trades before Saturday, so that if a player needs Allure of Darkness for their Deck they can post up what they have for trade and what they want to trade for, so if John Doe has Allure on Monday and is willing to trade it for something they can hang on to it until Saturday and trade with the player then.
When more players that log on and post on this thread the more trades happen at the shop, the more popular the shop becomes, the better the business, and that means that Bubba can get the stuff he may not be able to afford right away like an extra case of Gold Series. Any productive thing for the tournament is a good thing for Bubba and his shop.

bob any news on sneek peak?
We are going to hold on May 3rd. Doors open at 10:00. Because no one wanted to do flights we were going to due just open dueling. If you'd like, we can take the prize mats, deck boxes and other items (outside of promo) and give those away as additional prize support over the next few weeks.
Otherwise we will have to wait until we get 16 players for a tournament. Please post feedback. Remember, this is for you guys the players not the store.
Also, because of the low number of players wanting to due flights last release, I believe Bubba might be ordering only two kits (32 players) and not three.

guynthebackseat

Well the only info that we have confirmed about the mats is that they are Raging Battle Themed and they are the first Duel Mats not distributed by Upperdeck.
Since they are from Raging Battle I can see either Powertool Dragon (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Power_Tool_Dragon), Blackwing Monsters, or Koa'ki Meiru Monsters on the Mat those are my assumptions.

Remember. Based on feed back Bubba and I have been getting based on the last sneak peek. Sunday May 3rd will be open dueling format. There will be no YUGIOH on Saturday. If anyone else is holding a sneak peek I'd head there.
Since there will be open dueling. How prize support for this event will be carried over to normal tournament play starting May 9th.
As of this time, the sneak peek will consist of 5 packs for $20.00 and one promo card.
It also looks like we will only have packs for 32 players. Doors will open at 10:00 on that Sunday.

I guys. Bubba and I got together yesterday on the phone and found out that KDE ran out of product for this Sneak Peek. Based on conversation with the sales rep, there is no one in Tampa with product.
The closest places are:
The Dark Side Sarasota Florida 34236 941-363-0840 5/2 12:00 PM
Fun Express Village Madeira Beach Florida 33708 727-397-9444
Lakeland Sportscards and Collectibles Lakeland Florida 33803 863-648-4948 5/2 12:00 PM
KDE did not expect the volume of orders, they even limited the number of kits to 5 per local. KDE even make more kits but still ran out. They are taken a lot of hit for not making enough product.
If you want to voice a concern on the short of product, here is the email address.

Talked to bubba today
He said that if players can't make their way to another Sneak Peak that they are still welcome to come to the shop and play there. His only catch is that now the Yu-Gi-Oh Players and the Heroclix players have to share space. He has a bi-weekly Heroclix tournament on Sunday's and it falls on this Sunday.
He also said that if yu-gi-oh Players want he will have Pre-orders available for the actual release and all the other product he normally has on hand at the store.
Finally he has also rearranged the store to give the players even more space to play cards.
He did his best to get the product for the pre-release but he said that Konami was being jerks about it and saying that they will not ship him product because they already met their goal for Pre-releases. He and Bob tried but they refused to take his money or give him anything.
I will be their though and we might work out some small Prize Tournament with a cheap entry fee.

We will be on our normal schedule again. Bubba has confirmed Gold 2 is ordered and at least six boxes of Raging Battle. If anyone is interested. They can pre-order any product from Heroes' Haven.

If I can find the test to become a judge I will be happy to judge a regional. As for a venue, I think that if we consult with the formerly known as MOSI tournament we might have a venue, they have a conference room rented out each Sunday in a hotel that can fit 50+ already. Actually just combining the Anthem Tourny, ours, and MOSI we will already have almost 70 entrants. This could be possible. Plus that gives the potential tournament 3 or more judges, I just don't see how all 3 would work together... difference in opinion and all that stuff.

take into consideration you will more than likely have evryone from orlando, sarasota, and other surrounding areas here b/c this would potentially be the first regional in florida which is kinda gonna be a big thing. at ude day there was 110 people in the room the jon rents at the comfort in and it was a packed room. if you held it at that location your prolly gona need 2 rooms.

Since Shonen Jump CA is done. KDE now has an OP system (COSSY) and player id cards. Once we get all that stuff I'm sure regional will be coming to Florida. I'll be in contact with the KDE staff next week to see what we/will be done for a Florida/South East Regional. They are also putting the final touches on the Judge issue.

No prob, bring some money my friends have tons of cards that you can buy off them, including all but kuraz in terms of the monarchs.
And for everyone else I think we will have the COSSY cards because we are on the official tournament location page of the official yugioh website, here is the {LINK} (http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/events/tournament_locations.html) I guess Bob already took care of everything.

For anyone looking for a fun and exciting place, Heroes' Haven is your location. This weekend we have 27 players in our senior bracket and 4 (new) players in the Jr. tournament.
This week Sam Jones and Jake Mattern split the top two prizes and each got 33.50 in store credit. The brake down was 1st 40, 2nd 25, 3rd/4th 15 each and 5th-8th each getting $10.00 store credit.
Also remember that Raging Battle will be for this up coming week.

I'm just posting a link here for all you guys.
Now I know that all the big Yugioh players are present on this thread and I wanted to give you all a chance to look at the game that I developed that is currently for Sale at Hero's Haven, there is a lot of aspects about it that are similar to other games and yugioh is one of them. The games name is called Legacy, the full Rule list is posted here (http://www.pojo.biz/board/showthread.php?t=505886) as well as in my signature. It is a cross between Yugioh, Magic the Gathering, and slightly to Poke'mon, and this is how:
*Yugioh: Creatures attack Creatures and then players
*Magic the Gathering: This game incorporates a Mana System that is faster and easier to use than Magic the Gathering.
*Poke'mon: Creatures have their own Health Bar that decreases at its own rate and does not replenish without outside assistance.
To make things short and sweet it is a more advanced game than Yugioh and is much more strategic than any other game in existence (OK I might have exaggerated there a little) All I am saying is give it a chance, ask me about it on Saturday if you have a minute before the Tournament, I will give a rundown of the basics of gameplay. Plus just to put this out their the game is affordable too, $2.99 a pack and $11.99 for a deck with 2 promos and a rulebook, a box of packs only costs you $39.99 to, so like I said affordable, fun, locally made, and if we can get a good following we can have a great time with this.
Now off the subject of my game, Sam! That Magical Explosion deck was amazing, I am making my own version with a twist this week and I will test it out and see what it can do Saturday.
Bob, I apologize for the "incident" this past Saturday it has been taken care of and will be worked out in private, I will make sure that what happened never happens again.
Finally just a quick question, who all will be their on Tuesday to pick up their packs of Raging Battle? I know I will be their that night, (I have work all day) my question is to Bob, any chance we could have a mini release tournament that night to celebrate? Nothing official unless you got the COSSY stuff in.

Alright then, I'm gonna call Bubba tonight and tell him to tell everyone that buys Yugioh Raging battle tomorrow that if some people want to show up and play they can I will post more details soon.
OK so I just talked to Bubba, he says that he will have the new product for sale tomorrow and he will tell anyone who comes in to buy RGBT that they are welcome to come in around evening time to hang out and play cards they can, Hero's Haven is open till 9:00 pm so we might even have time to have a mini-tournament if Bob or enough people show up to play. He also said that if there are enough people there we all might be able to chip in some cash and get some Pizza from next door for everyone to eat and have a good time.
So no one forget:
*Raging Battle Release Party at Hero's Haven Cards and Comics
*Bring $money$ for: Packs, Drinks, and Pizza.
*From 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm
*Bring your Cards to not only modify your deck but to trade too
*Prize Support may be available but we can't guarantee it, it all depends on the turnout of players
*And don't forget shop doors open at 12:00 pm tomorrow afternoon
*SEE YOU ALL THERE!:D

Koa'ki Meiru Valafar x2
Koa'ki Meiru Ice x1
Card Trader x2
Dark Bribe x1
Solemn (if anyone will part with 1 to 3 copies)
Imperial Iron Wall x2

On a side note any word yet on a Friday tournament, Bob? I know that when I spoke to Bubba last week he said that he is ready to start doing it. I told him that since I know pretty much all of the Yugioh community in Tampa I could put the word out there to get a Friday crowd.

Cool, if we keep getting people like you who show up and bring a friend or two the Friday tournament might end up being bigger than the Saturday tournament. Lets keep spreading the word :D

Sounds awsome. I know I'd like to have a tournament on Friday. It would be awsome to have 2 tournaments back-to-back. So I'll spread the word. And also, do you have the website that guy says he's working on? Cause I just wanna check it out.

Well from what it sounds like is the site is not even up yet since the guy stated that the IDEA has been up in the air for years. Hopefully they might start working on something soon since it would just serve as more advertising for the store and that there are a lot of people who don't know that the store even exists believe it or not.

I wasn't trying to be territorial over the rights to making a website but I do know that Bubba and I have talked about it and he wants it to be more than just a Game Website, he wants a section devoted to Comics and a section devoted to Games. The guy sells more than YuGiOh cards, so when I saw the Animeish webpage I knew Bubba would appreciate it but he would have probably said that it wasn't exactly what he was looking for. Bubba is a particular kind of guy and is picky about some things, which is one of the reasons the Website Idea has been up in the air for years. I also think that paying for a Domain Name is not in his budget.
Back to Yu-Gi-Oh, I will not be attending tomorrow I have something else planned, but I am still hunting for those Koa'ki Meiru cards, if anyone wants to arrange a time to meet there and trade for them next week I will be happy to. Just to let people know Powerhand and Valafar are both cards that are running under $7 online so I won't trade a lot for them.

I understand. The thing is that the website can be changed. The layout, the background, the sections, nearly everything. All's I need to know is what Bubba wants. I can change most features. If you want me to change some of the tabs to have comics and such in them, I will do so. Also, there are different modules that you can add. So say if the shop wanted to start selling things online for in store pick or delivery then I/we could just at the shop application. No big deal. Anywhos, let me know about this site, cause the carear I'm going under for high school is going to be computer technology and web designing, so it would be nice to enter class with some web sites already done.
And like i said before, the site is completely free. There are no cost involved unless you wanna get rid of the .webs.com thing. But if you ask me, webs is the best and compared to website like zoogley.com, its pretty short.
Oh, and I also hecked out the shop yesterday. I like it. Me and my friend are defiently just gonna come and hang out this weekend and just duel a few people, even if there isn't gonna be a tournament.
So all in all, any more information about the wesite would be gladly appreciated and I would be glad to help. Thanks! /\ _ /\

I think that there will be closer to 200 people there. However, there will be some people who will show up to the store tournament either because they can't get a ride overe to the tornament or they figure that all of the good people will be at the Regionals and it will be easy for them to win some store credit for topping. I know of a few people who would do that from the store...lol.

Game 2 and 3 I'm talking about as long as I draw pretty decent. But I side a lot of cards against them. Your's is probably one of the few Lightsworn's that give me more trouble.
And yea, Blackwings aren't to hard to control 2 out of 3 games. But they usually get a very sacky hand that you can't stop at least once a match.

I think I remember now. It was once a Holiday Inn a while back. I used to go there for comic conventions. Thanks for letting me know about these places. :D I am just wishing that there would be something closer to me (somewhere around Pasco/Hernando Counties). It seems like every place around these parts has either stopped doing them or has closed up shop completely. As I had posted earlier, there is 1 guy around here locally who is trying to start back up with them again. I just have to wait and see in the meantime how this turns out. I am also not too thrilled at the idea of going the opposite way towards Citrus County.

Hi.
At Heroes' Haven we run two types of tournaments. One is for the more exprienced players and one for the newer players. If your 9 year old is new to the game he/she can play in the Jr. Tournament. The cost is $5.00 and starts at 1:00. They play every player in that tournament. The winner usally gets at least 1-2 packs of thier choice. Either myselft or another non-player will watch over the match to help correct moves.
Bob Williams - Judge and T.O.
Additional Comment:
I agree, especially about the store size, because if it were bigger then this store could possibly set up things in the future similar the Sebring Cash tournament except with more reasonable prize support.
Hi Guys.
This is something Bubba and I have been discussing for the last month or two. He has been looking at new locations. He wants to stay in the area he currently is and not have to increase his rent as much.
Once we have a better idea on location, he would like to expand and do bigger tournanemts.
With regards to Friday nights, he does want to run those also. Currently he has Hero Clix's on that night. Not sure of turnout. If players are interested on a CASH Friday night tournament, please let Bubba and I know. The more interest the more we can talk it up and hold one.
Bubba is also looking at getting a web site. I know from these posts that someone created a free web site. I did review it and the templates are nice. But, he will need more than just TCG. He knows a couple of graphic designers. Again, once the store is going stronger the more he is going to do.
But right now, location and cash flow are at the top of his list. Once location is finalized the more we can do for all players.

Okay guys.
For the last few weeks Bubba and I have been passing out KDE cards to everyone. If you have not done so already, PLEASE register your card online. If you lose your card at any time and it is NOT register you will need a new card. That means you will lose all your points up to that event.
Secondly, Bubba and I have been lax in the start time and giving local players you get there late the first match lose and join in for the second round. With the new COSSY system this will not happen. The program does not allow for late entry. Once the tournament starts no one can enter from that point on. This I confirmed.
So, get there on time or have your card registered and we can log you in that way.
Rememeber we will try and start at 1:00.
Bob
Additional Comment:
Hey players.
Since we are using COSSY, we really need everyone to register their KDE number at the website located on the back of the cards. This will make it easier to use a nickname or some time of name and not the KDE card number.
Thanks, Bob

Bob doesn't take people out based on decktype, he takes people out based on experience and capability. Bob wants a good players to play good players and inexperienced players to play inexperienced players, so they can at least get some tournament experience. if you think you are good enuogh to play in the upper level tournament ask Bob to put you in.

LS is a very strong deck. If you have JD in the deck which I'm sure you do, you might be in the JR. level one time maybe twice. The level of play and decks in the JR. level are not normally able to beat a tier 1 deck let alone a very good tier 2. Lets see how you do.

Yep, Jr. and advanced levels, jr is for newer players that just got into the game and advanced is for veterans. Mainly to let the younger players (that is not a reference to age but to game skill and years played) get some experience.

Ah. PPF (my locals here) don't really have that except for the losers face the losers and such. It would be pretty cool if we had that because I know some newbies that would benefit ^^

The other nice thing for our jr players is that they receive one pack at entry ($5.00) and the remaining amount is given to the winner as store credit. Right now we are busting the Ragging Battle SE boxs for the Jr. packs. The SE card is either given to the jr winner or put into the display case and sold for a small amount.
This way the jr player can get more of the newer cards and possibly build a stronger deck.
Age is not a factor at this level as experience is.

We have the COSSY cards at the shop. Get there early and register the card online at the shop. we have have two pc's going. One for new players to register cards, the other to run the tournaments.
Chris, COSSY has been a work in progress. I've been on the phone with KDE 2-3 times a week working out the details of the program.
It looks like we will be running more single elimins than swiss. the s/w is based on the Japan play of S/E. Also, it doesn't matter the rank of player winning or losing. If you win you get 12 points, if you lose you lose 12 points regardless of the other players rank.
So, if I were to beat SAM (LOL) I don't get more points, vis-versa Sam doesn't lose more points if he loses to me.
So, lets say in a normal swiss you end up 2-2, you net out to 0 points. But if you played in a s/e and won twice (8 player) you get 24 points and go home happy.
We're going to see how everyone likes this style of play. Mostly until KDE gets a better version of COSSY out there also.

sound a little hard for those with not so good decks to get points. In my opinion it should be like if you win you get 10 and if you lose you lose 5.

We're going to give it a try tomorrow and see how things go. Again, the COSSY system for local events is not set up for a swiss w/finals. We have to schedule different tournaments for the same day. And point wise it doesn't matter unless you go 0-3 in s/e then your -36.
Lets see how it plays out. At least until KDE gets the s/w running better. They actually have different s/w for local and reg/nat's.
Interesting.

Well everybody,
Behold the horse's mouth. I'm Bubba, in the event you might have been wondering.
Currently, I know everybody thinks the Single Elim matches suck, so for now we're going to leave it Swiss style. Everybody clearly wants Top 8 each week - maybe a few against but for the most part we'll stay T8 even if we have few people (which doesn't really happen unless there's a regionals). The Pro reason for pushing single elim is b/c you'll actually squeeze more matches into a smaller amount of time. The more matches = the more points you can win.
How would single elim work?
First 8 players start Tournament #1, second 8 start tournament #2. Losers of T#1 and T#2 fill into T#3 until their are 8 players. This keeps going for each tournament.
Everybody ponies up $5. If there are 15 players = $75 into the pot. If we then have 5 Tournaments for the day, the winners of each tournament (1st place ONLY) receive $15. So, if you win in T#1 and then make it into T#4, you can make yourself $30.
Also, if say Albert and Sam both show up, Sam can enter T#1 while Albert waits to enter T#2. Perfectly legit play.
For your $5 entry you play "all day" for every tournament we have - so if we had seven tournaments in one day (each with an 8 person cap) and you lost first round in each of them you would have played seven matches and only cost you $5 total. Also, this gives players a maximum amount of time to keep dueling - increasing the chances to score wins which equal points. I'm all about making our players look as good as possible.
More on stuff and things later.

Any one new or doesn't have much experience, stop by Heroes' Haven. We run two levels of play. One for the very experienced players and the other for noobies to someone who understands the game but is not very good yet.
This past weekend we had 16 players in our Jr. Division.
Cost is $5.00 and everyplayer who does not top 2 receives a pack of the latest series. Top 2 receive store credit.
Play starts at 1:00 and we play swiss style so don't worry about losing in the first round and being done for the day.

This is important for the Juniors league. If you are not in Top 2, I'm going to give you SOMETHING. Don't leave without getting your pack/cards/whatever. Of the 16 juniors enrolled, four left early - without getting anything.
Also, it's swiss rounds - that means you get to keep playing! Don't leave when you lose one time. There is more to play.
Bubba
Additional Comment:
I want everybody who reads this to know:
Yes, Friday nights are "fun nights" where we'll play around with formats. We'll use Mantis for tie-breaks when necessary or I'll make an excel spreadsheet. I'd like to have some two-man team games set up, eventually like to see some draft style-play. Maybe we could see some "commons only" matches, that kind of stuff.
Players attending can vote on what they want to do the next Friday.
Also, if players want, we can take in $5 a head since we are running it "tournament style" and will give 100% back as store credit. It's honestly not a big deal one way or the other since I also have casual HeroClix on Friday nights.

We are trying to get Crimson Crisis, Ragging Battle, Gold 2. But with the new set coming out we don't want to stock on packs no one will buy because they are old.
Scaleing packs? R U Nuts? You start doing that and no one will buy packs. Let's see, I buy these packs hoping to find that SR on packs you scaled. You gonna buy if I scaled the packs b4 you even got there?

Ancient Prophecy Pre-Release
Doors open at 9:00am on August 15th.
Open dueling all day.
A "formal" tournament will start at 1:30pm. This tournament will not be sanctioned b/c I want players to use the new cards. Depending upon total player load and insanity that day I might run a "sealed" (you use the cards you've been open dueling with already) and/or a regular contructed tournament where the ANP's are legal.
Again, Open Dueling all day. Doors open at 9am. Tourney 1:30pm. Thank You.

Hey there. I was wondering a few things about the Sneak at Heroes' Haven...
1) Can someone just show up to get the promo card and Ancient Prophecy packs (or do they actually have to participate in the tournament)?
I am only asking because I am having to find myself a ride up there and (unfortunately :() I cannot gaurantee how long they may be wanting to hang around for. If sign up is at 9:00 am and "formal" play does not get underway until around 1:30 pm, then I am not sure if they would be willing to do so for me.
2) Will there be any sort of drawings for any prizes or such this time around?
This goes along with the first question. If there are, then I might be able to stay longer. :D I am just not exactly sure on how much time I may have next Saturday.

Okay local Heroes' Haven Yugioh players or causal players listen up. If you were not at the store this Saturday, ALL Gaming is being moved. Yugioh tournaments will now be held at the CiCi's on the corner of Dale Mabry Hwy and Fletcher.
Doors will open at 11:00. Tournament entry fee is $5.00. It will cost an additional $5.00. This is for the CiCi's resturant. So yes, $10.00 to play Yugioh and eat pizza and salad and drink for the whole day.
If you just want to causal play, it will cost $5.00. This is for the CiCi's pizza/Salad buffet.
If you just want to causal play and trade and not pay the $5.00 you will need to stay out side.
