Affinity Defending Against Elves?

Well, I run an affinity deck, and I'm having a good bit of trouble against my friends elf deck. I just can't defend against it. His attacking isn't a problem. The problem is him getting his life up to 150 and me finally just saying "<pojo ownz><pojo ownz><pojo ownz><pojo ownz> it" and scooping. Any suggestions?

up the number of counterspells you play & counter the wellwisher

Play burn to take care of his creatures, or kill him before he can get them. I play 3 Shrapnel Blast MD in Affinity, and SB 4 Pyroclasm. You shouldn't have too much trouble as long as you can clear his board.

Pyrite Spellbombs. Should be MD'ed in all affinity decks.

ya, any kind of removal smacks elves in the face. wellwisher shouldnt be a terrifically big problem with affinity because its so fast. They wont be able to tap it to gain much life provided you get even an "ok" hand.

You could also use Infest, that's an okay card. Cheap too.

vs elves pyroclasm is ver important especially if he goes with superman

My two strongest decks are Affinity and Elves. My Affinity deck almost always wins because it's a U/R deck with the red being nothing but burn.
