Question about toad

lets say an attacker attacks my toad. instead of it being stunned i return toad to my hand. do i take stun damage and endurance damage or do any damage at all? And does the attacker remain exausted or does he ready because the attack became illegal. please respond. thanks

You wouldn't take the stun damage, but you would take all breakthrough endurance loss, and the attacker would not ready.

toads effect doens't invlove the attack at all. It is a replacement effect that triggers when Toad is stunned. By that time, the attack is already over and Breakthrough has already been done.

And his power triggers whenever he becomes stunned, not just from attacks.
