Well..depends..some pokemon are exclusive for each version:
Growlithe- Fire Red only
Vulpix-Leaf Green only
Sandshrew-Leaf Green only
Mankey-Fire Red only

There are more but it basically depends on which pokemon you want more

It's a rare pokemon that you can only get with a ticket you get from a Nintendo event. You can find out more about it here (http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-rs/386.shtml).

It's just like Lati@s and the Eon ticket. You can't catch it in the game until you scanned the Aurora Ticket (currently unavailable) with the e-reader.

No. As far as I know,Deoxys is the only pokemon with different stats(as GyroYam said)

All the advice I can give ya is choose what you rather have. I'm choosing FireRed because I can catch a Scyther which can Trade Evolve into my favorite Pokemon...Scizor!

They're not exactly the same. go here:

Look on the chart. Some of the moves it learns in Fire Red/Leaf Green are different
