Best Class for Each Race?

In your guys' opinions, what do you believe to be the best class for each race? I know that it doesn't matter too much, as long as you enjoy the combination you have chosen. However, it is always fun to see which racial abilities help which class the most.

I just started playing WoW so I don't know too much, but looking at my server's population (Emerald Dream), I can definitely say that Tauren Druids are quite popular and strong.

This is what I would do...

Melee Classes: Orcs (its something good, but I forgot it -_-)
Hunters: Trolls (bow racial) / Dwarf (gun racial)
Caster: Blood Elf (AoE silence + mana regen thingy)

Its really opinion, as some people would like the 1% chance to hit (draenai) more than the bow racial from trolls. Dwarfs also have stoneform, which is nice (especially in PvP).

I've heard some people talk about Troll Shamans. Especially their Restoration Spec. Any comment on this?

Well, trolls have berserking... which is pretty neat in just about any situation. Honestly, for shamans... it really doesn't matter which race you are.

For trolls in general... they gain the most benefit from being a hunter with a bow (because of bow spec). They also have throwing spec which... I'm assuming is good for rogues (you don't throw much... but every bit helps I guess). Also, health regen is always good.

Honestly... both are good. I guess a troll might be better though with bow spec (even though the best PvE weapon is a gun?) and berserking.

What about the new class: Death Knight? Which Alliance and Horde race best compliments them? I've seen a lot of Human Death Knights and Orc / Tauren Death Knights. Are these good matches?

Mm... I'm not entirely sure which Alliance races are good for DK, but for Horde, the 2 raiding DPS DKs are Orcs (Orcs have a racial for axe spec... and the best 2 handed weapon in the game right now is an axe). Our tank DK is Tauren (I'm assuming for the extra stam). I've seen a few Blood Elves, but aside from having a silence (Arcane Torrent) and some magic resistance... I'm not sure how they compare.

Honestly, I don't think there are any bad choices in terms of race... but there are definitely some superior ones.

Which 2-Handed Axe are you talking about? I was thinking of making an Orc Death Knight once I get my Blood Elf Paladin to 80, though he is only 35 right now.

Depends on what you want to play. Both have their advantages:

Orc => Pet Racial Bonus. Logically, anybody that desires to play a Beast Master Hunter would choose an Orc to do maximum damage.

Troll => Bow Specialization Racial Bonus. Again, logically, anybody that desires to play a Marksman Hunter would choose a Troll to do maximum damage.

Berserking and Blood Fury also have their respective advantages, but I wouldn't necessarily base a race choice on them. Go for the massive amounts of damage! :D

Don't forget Dwarfs with their gun-specialization, of course that wasn't a choice.

Go Troll, especially for end-game, Beast Master hunters don't make the same dps as marksminship or survival

You also have to factor in that Orcs are innately better for PvP due to their +25% stun resist, as are Undead with their Will of the Forsaken. These two abilities outshine all other horde PvP racials.

I play a Draenei hunter because of the extra 1 % hit rating racial.

I would say a Troll is a better rogue than an UD if you are talking about PvE simply becuz of the racial but then again UD seem to be the choice for every class that it can be becuz of WotF for PvP purposes.

Night Elves are pretty good (apparently shadowmeld is a vanish pretty much).

Tauren: Tanks mostly for the stam buff, /cheers the arrival of tauren palliez.
Orc: Melee for blood fury
Belf: None hunter/moonkin ranged, and healers.
Troll: Hunters
Undead: All in pvp :P

gnomes are best for warlocks because of there intellect plus ability and orcs are best for hunters because of there plus 5 stats on pets and minions
