stardust assault questions

Question 1: can u activate stardust dragon assault modes effect against the blackwing bora the spear when it breaks through defense ? question2: What happens when your opponent already has a rainbow ruin already is activated and u have stardust assault mode on the field, you play a spell card, they tribute a crystal beast to negate it with the ruin effect can you tribute your stardust to stop it and if so what happens to rainbow ruin do to the effect that it can't be destroyed while they have a crystal beast in the back field. If anybody can help me with these questions plz respond thanks

stardust cannot negate any of bora's effects. one is a summon condition and the other is continuous.

stardust can negate rainbow ruins when it tries to negate a spell card.

I'll attempt at this one.

Did you say something like this?

Link1: Activate some Spell
Link2: Rainbow Ruins activates to negate Link1
Link3: SDSB activates to negate Link2

If so, Stardust Dragon SlashBuster will negate Rainbow Ruins, but will not destroy it for obvious reasons.
Then Link 1, the Spell, will resolve. Simple.

thanks skullbuster i figured thats how that worked with the rainbow question but can the assault mode stardust negate continous effects of monsters yes or no?

No it can't. Continuous effects do NOT activate.
There's nothing to chain to.

When the effect of a Spell, Trap, or Effect Monster is activated, you can Tribute this card to negate the activation and effect of that card, and destroy it.

continuous effects dont activate.
you can't chain stardust to them.
