do any of you think that the fifth dawn card crucible of worlds will affect LD decks as much as everyone seemed to want to screw Land Destruction during the "you make the card 2" I think it may make red/green run a little more artifact destruction. But I still would like to believe that Red/Green will take it this year.

Crucible is definitely going to be playable in sideboards against L/D. Thing is, doesn't early artifacts threaten L/D anyways? Don't all viable builds -already- plan for these so-called artifact obstacles? You're just kind enough to give them another target.

I think land destruction is on shaky groud now, simply because of Darksteel Ingot and Darksteel Citadel. Those two cards go a long way in screwing over land destruction decks. Crucible of Worlds will just be the final nail in the coffin. Again.

However, I do expect Crucible of Worlds to spawn a new deck based around the cycling lands from Onslaught.

Actually the R/D land destruction decks (2) I played at FNM last night both ran Molder Slugs and some artifact destruction. I think that will pretty much foil Crucible of Worlds. I lost to one 2-1 and beat the other player 2-0, mainly through luck of the draw with my own version of MBC.
