Chapter 3: The Regionals Invite

Yami Bakura, in the form of Tea, walked down the street of Domino City. To prevent any police searches, he had decided to return to Tea’s home, and pose as her. Though of course this meant that he had to act like Tea normally does, which included wearing skirts, which really ruffled the evil spirit’s feathers.
He was heading back to Tea’s house, still in the pink Domino High girls uniform, when he walked by a game shop, and noticed on the large glass display window, the Dark Master Zork Ritual set! He enters the card shop. No one is there. The fiend in Tea’s clothing so to speak, then reached up and took the Dark Master Zork card and Contract With the Dark Master Ritual Magic Card, drops them in her bag, and walks out of the store.
Then Yugi came running up behind him. “Hey Tea!” Yami Bakura turns around, and since he is in Tea’s body, he can only use Tea’s voice, he called back, “Hey there Yugi,” while thinking to himself, “I hate putting up with this!”
“Tea, I just got an invitation to the Duel Monsters Japan Regional Tournament! Isn’t that awesome?” Yugi went on. “Yeah, uh, sure Yugi,” Yugi didn’t notice the hesitance in his friend’s voice. “Well, Tea, I’ll see ya around!” He then dashed off back towards the direction of his Grandfather Solomon Mouto’s Game Shop.
“Hm,” the false Tea, thought, this could work to my advantage of obtaining all three Egyptian God Cards from Yugi, along with his Millennium Puzzle, heh, heh, heh.” “Hey you over there!” A man came out of the card shop that Tea had recently left. “I saw you take those cards! Those are Special Editions and are $300 bucks a set!”
“Oh, I’m so sorry,” Then the Spirit of the Millennium Ring summoned to Tea’s hand, the Millennium Rod, and activated its power of Mind Control. The shop keeper, who’s mind was now possessed, at the possessed Tea’s command, handed over three hundred dollars. Then the Evil Spirit deactivated the mind control, while at the same time vanishing the Rod and erasing the man’s mind of the incident of the appearing rod.
“Well miss, you going to pay up or what?” The man went on as though nothing happened, and to him nothing had. “Here you go! Sorry about that!” She handed the man the money he had just given her and headed back into his shop. The Evil Spirit Possessed Tea, chuckling to him/herself, walked towards Rare Hunter HQ, thinking about how easy that was.
When he gets there, he heads straight towards the Masquerade Chamber, a room that contains the organization’s disguises and spare robes, she picks out a few things, such as a blond wig, and some fake, eyelashes, and a pair of colored contacts that make her eyes different colors. She then put those on, went to his bedchambers, changed from school uniform to a tight fitting, black leather suit, boots, and gloves. She then grabbed her duel disk, and Bakura’s stolen Fiend Deck, and headed out.
After asking around, she finally found someone who had their own Regional Tournament Invitation: a long haired blond female with purple eyes, purple skirt, high-heels, and jacket covering a white tank top, Mai Valentine. The Dark Spirit in Tea’s body goes up to Mai. “Hi there, I was wondering, are you Mai Valentine?” “Uh, yeah,” Mai replies, “What do you want?” “I was wondering, if, well, since you are the best female duelist around, well, would you see if my deck would work in beating your deck?” “Huh? Well sure, I guess that I can teach you how to be as good a player me.”
Mai leads them to a place where they can duel. The evil Tea takes a two unneeded cards from the deck, and adds her two new cards to the deck, and inserts it into her duel disk, and puts into Duel Mode after launching the holographic projectors. Mai, who had been keeping her deck in her duel disk in her blue convertible, had put it into Duel Mode as well. “Say kid, where did you get a Duel Disk? Those are only for participants in the last two Battle City Tournaments!” Mai asked, suspicious. “Oh, well, my brother works at Kaiba Corp. and managed to get me one,” the false Tea lied.
“Oh well,” Mai then drew her five card opening hand; the fiend in Tea’s body did the same. “I’ll start,” says Mai, drawing her first card, “With Cyber Harpie in attack mode!” Then a woman with long red hair, dark purple armor, white feathers for skin, bird-claw hands, and wings appears on Mai’s side of the field.

Name: Cyber Harpie, Attribute: Wind, Type, Winged Beast, Attack: 1800, Def: 1500, Effect: This monster is treated as Harpie Lady.

“Now it’s my turn,” The False Tea draws and card. “Now I summon, Headless Knight, in defense mode. Then I’ll play two cards face down and end my turn.” On the field, two face-down cards appear, and a kneeling knight carrying a sword, shield, and a red and dark blue cape without a head appears on the field kneeling, showing this he is in defense mode.

Mai then summons her Harpie’s Brother in attack mode. The brother of the Cyber Harpie looked like a man with spiky black hair, red face-paint on his upper face, a brown leather shirt, gray colored pants, and a long red three clawed weapon attached to his right forearm.

“Harpie’s brother, attack his Headless Knight so that Cyber Harpie can attack him directly!” Harpie’s Brother charged at the Dark Tea’s Knight, with Cyber Harpie in close pursuit.
“I activate my Trap Card: Bell of Destruction, which destroys one face-up monster on the field and both players take Life Point Damage equal to the destroyed Monster’s attack points! And I choose, Cyber Harpie!”
Then a large black metal ring with red grenades all around it, appeared around Cyber Harpie’s neck, and the grenades exploded, taking Mai’s monster with it. Harpie’s Brother then slashed the knight to pieces.

Life Points

“I end my turn,” Ma said. “Excellent! I will now play Raigeki, to destroy your last Defense!” A lightning bolt then shot out of the sky and destroyed Harpie’s Brother.
Raigeki, Normal Magic Card, Destroy all monsters on your opponent’s side of the field.
“Then I activate my last Trap Card: Call of the Haunted! And I’ll use it to resurrect my Headless Knight!” Headless Knight then reappeared, only standing upright, in attack mode. “The I’ll summon Archfiend Soldier to the Field in attack mode, along with the Magic Card Contract With the Dark Ruler! And with it I’ll discard my Dark Necrofear from my hand to Special Summon Dark Master Zork!”
Then a warrior in silver armor with ram horns on the helmet, a dark brown cape, and a long silver sword appears, followed by a shirtless monster that looks human, except for the huge red bat wings, curving spikes from the shoulders, blue pants, wild black and green spiky hair, and a long gold and silver sword appears on the field, the second one after Dark Necrofear appears, but is then enveloped by dark shrouds of evil energy that absorb the necromancer, and take shape and transforms into Zork.

“I will now place one monster in Defense Mode, and play Swords of Revealing Light, which for, three turns, will prevent you from attacking.” Then a face-down horizontal card appeared, and hundreds of swords of made of light appeared, surrounding Set and his monsters.
“Well, now that it’s my turn, I guess that I’ll wrap things up. I draw, and now I choose to activate my Dark Master-Zork’s Special ability: I shall roll a six-sided die. If the result is 1 or 2, I destroy all monsters on my opponent’s side of the field. If the result is 3, 4, or 5, then I destroy one monster on the field. But, if the result is 6, then all the monsters on my side of the field will be obliterated. Ready? Go Dark Master-Zork; unleash the dice of Fate and Doom!
Zork then threw a dice that, instead of black dots, had black skulls on it. It rolled, and bounced a little bit, and then landed on a 5. “Now I choose to destroy your monster! Mai! HAHAHAHAHA!” Mai’s face-down monster instantly exploded a Cyber Jar, and her last hope. “Now to destroy you, I play Heavy Storm! This card destroys all Magic and Trap Cards on the field!”
Suddenly a holographic projected windstorm appeared, destroying the Swords of Revealing Light, and Call of the Haunted, which revived one of your monsters from the Graveyard, but equips itself to that monster, and if it is destroyed then the monster is destroyed, so Headless Knight was destroyed again. “Now go Zork, and finish off Mai Valentine!”
The Dark Master then flew in destroyed the last of Mai’s Life Points. Then the evil one summoned the Millennium Ring back around her neck from headquarters and used it to send Mai’s mind to the Shadow Realm. She then took from Mai’s coat pocket, what she had seen Mai put in there right before challenging her, Mai’s invitation to the Regional Championship!
