No...i dont think so, cause that would be just copying of Sonic, and if they did bring one out, then that would prove that whoever would produce it, would have copied of Sonic, and that they couldn't think of their own ideas. :p

A Mario anime...would be weird. If they did, people might watch it for a little while just because of Mario, but I doubt it would be that great.

The folks at Nintendo have tried and tried to bring Mario out in some sort of media for years. There was an old school cartoon from the NES days, that was part of a live action show starring Captain Lou Albanno (old WWF wrestler) that wa horrendously lame. With the coming of the SNES a new Mario cartoon was brought out and was even lamer than its predesessor.

There was even a live action movie in the late 80s starring the plummers. Horrible. Nintendo doesn't seem to have it in them to convert one of their video games to a good cartoon.

Zelda? "Well excuuuuuuse me, Princess!"

Captain N, anyone?

I suppose you could call Pokemon their first hit at it, maybe.

If Mario got another shot at this, I doubt many would care. He's squeezed out too many flops to have any credability in this media anymore. Mario had his shot. His second. His third, fourth, and seventeenth chance. It's time to bury him.

If there ever is a Mario anime, I will be forced to scream until I am put out of my misery. There's only so much you can do with one artistic style before it just becomes lame.

If there was, i wouldn't watch it. I dont watch sonic either. I like the games, but wouldn't/dont like the show/s.

I think it could work if it was based off of Super Mario RPG........

I think if they were to make one. It wouldn't last long. Maybe a season or two, but how many time can you rescue the princess and defeat bowser/koopa?..whatever it is..

If a Mario anime was ever made, I would probably watch it once out of curiosity and then forget it. It would get boring after a while, like some others have said. Some things are better left undone.

No... no no no.

There's just something /totally/ wrong about an Italian plumber running around, who in turn is dubbed by a Japanese voice actor.

Just no.

Leave it as it is. They don't make it like they used to, so they shouldn't bother.

It probably could work as a comedy in the same vain as Ultimate Muscle. Maybe a CGI Mario show would fit, if they ever did a Mario animated series. A Mario anime? I doubt it would last. Hell, I'm still wondering how Sonic X is lasting.
