I wasn't sure where to post this, so if you have to move the topic, its my bad.

Anyways, what should I run in draft at the pre-release? I've seen plenty of spoilers, but I am not sure on what I should run. I was thinking red/white.

Well, the rule of thumb for Shards was to run a full shard and maybe a splash of a fourth colour. I've been running Naya pretty solidly so far and it's done well, despite having wanted to play Esper more.

With Conflux in the mix, I don't really see any need to change that plan, unless I get something that absolutely demands I play all five colours. I'd need reliable mana fixing, though. For me, the plan again is to run Naya with maybe a splash of black if needed.

However, as always, when it comes to Sealed, it depends entirely on what you get on the day. Intentions mean nowt. You wouldn't believe how crap my Esper was three months ago. One guy, who normally plays green, opened a Prince of Thralls and proceeded to clean up with it.

It depends on what you open. The same rules in drafting/sealed deck apply here (this IS sealed deck, after all). Run lots of mana fixing, play a shard, and use the best cards in each color that you run.

I'm seeing alot of random blowouts with fusion elemental.

The mana fixing the set is arguable better than shards so I expect running all five colors (shard, two splash) to become the dominant deck type. The uber-pump knights, fusion elemental, and random bomb rares are just too good to alienate out of your pool.

Sealedwise the default seems to still be naya/bant plus splash at will. This allows for the dumb green fat while giving you decent removal. Exceptions exist but this will be the most common deck type.

When I played, a lot of people ran 5 colour decks for the sheer power that it gives relying on the lands, armillary sphere and mana cylix for mana fixing more than obelisks.

I originally ran a grixis deck with a foil nicol bolas, blood tyrant, sedris and the 3ub 3/3 flying angel that tutors for an artifact creature when it comes into play. However it was a little too clunky and i changed it to a naya with rhox war monks, vagrant plowbeasts and several other solid creatures.

I ran a slower variant of Naya, using Battlegrace Angel as the win-con. It wrecked face 3-0-1 :)
