Ok here is the situation...

I'm playing elvish wedding and wondering,

I got an intruder alarm out, a timberwatch elf, and 2 wirewood hivemasters. I play an elf, before it comes into play i tap timberwatch to give an elf i want to attack with the +X/+X. Then elf hits field and then he untaps, i tap my timberwatch again and here comes the question, 2 insects come into play, can i tap my timberwatch twice (for 2 insects) or only once because they r played at the same time?

Thanks for the help

I play wedding too. You should'nt be winning by attacking but that's not the question.

Only once because they are played at the same time.

Only once because they are played at the same time.

This is incorrect.

Even though they come into play at the same time, they are two seperate triggers to Intruder Alarm.

Keep in mind this is assuming you control both the Intruder Alarm and Hivemaster. Because of this, you choose the order they trigger and go onto the stack.

When that first elf comes into play, you could choose to have Intruder Alarm's ability go on the stack first, followed by both Hivemasters, or mix it up.

Abilities then resolve in the reverse order (last effect on the stack downward to the first).

Example:

You control Timberwatch Elf, two Hivemasters, and an Intruder Alarm. You play a random elf, which in response you tap your Timberwatch to give one Hivemaster +3/+3. The elf then resolves, and you have three triggers : Intruder Alarm and both Hivemasters. You choose to have both Hivemasters trigger first (one at a time naturally) and go on the stack, then the Intruder Alarm.

Intruder Alarm is the last effect on the stack so it resolves first, untapping all creatures in play. You now have priority to add to the stack, as you are the active player, so you throw another activation of Timberwatch Elf on the stack, which will resolve as its the last on stack (assuming nobody puts anything else on top), giving your (same?) target elf +4/+4 now (for the extra elf), for a total of +7/+7.

Your first Hivemaster's ability now resolves, placing a 1/1 Insect token in play, and again triggering Intruder Alarm, onto the stack. Untap all creatures, another pump, +4/+4, (+11/+11).

Second Hivemaster resolves, again with the token, again Intruder Alarm activates, again all creatures untap. Toss yet ANOTHER Timberwatch pump on the stack, +4/+4.

Assuming all those pumps were on ONE creature, it is now +15/+15 stronger till end of turn.
_____

A long explanation perhaps, but a correct one in how the abilities use the stack.

All righty then :)

Not quite sure what this was about. If I am wrong, please correct. I can (have/do) make mistakes.
