I was wondering if there was still anyone out there that still plays/collects the Harry Potter TCG.

I'm hoping to find a website for the TCG that still has some active members.

Also, if there are any of you in the Cincinnati, OH, PM me.

Doubtful anyone still plays/collects. There isn't much value in the cards anymore since they've been dumped on the market at cheap prices.

Sadly, it is true that the cards have no value but for some, the game is still fun.

OMG! I hopped into this section of the forum to see if I could find anyone who still plays. I have been trying to find people, but to no avail. Now, at last, I have found someone.

So do you still play with friends? What kind of deck do you run? I've been able to get a couple of my friends who like Yu-Gi-Oh and Harry Potter to try it out; they like it okay but aren't overtaken by it.

Well, one of my friends played with me once, but he was not thrilled with the game. I was running a Potion and creature deck. Draught of the Living Dead was my power spell and Unicorn was my engine. What about you?

I run a Creature deck with a splash of Transfiguration and Charms. It's sort of based on Hagrid with large Creatures that require discards (such as Fluffy, Fang and Unicore) to take advantage of Hagrid's House. I added in Steelclaw and Halloween Feast to maximise abuse.

I never did understand exactly how Steelclaw worked. I just says. "All of your creatures deal damage." Does that mean that they get a second attack that turn for 4?

Essentially, yes. It is one of the strongest cards, in my opinion. Every creature of mine deals damage, even if it's new on the field that turn. One of my favourite moves is to bring out Hedwig and pull Steelclaw to deal possibly game-ending damage.

That's a ridiculously good move. My combo was Draught, play a cauldron, Draught.

Yes, it is that good. What does that move of yours accomplish? I'm not familiar with many of the Potion cards (I spent my studies on Care of Magical Creatures lol).

"Draught of the Living Death" 8 Potions: "To play this card, discard 2 Potions Lessons from play. Do 12 damage to your opponent or a Creature of you choice"

Cauldrons are very good items in Potion decks.

I would recycle them with healing potions and use it again. I played "Dungbomb" to protect me from Creatures and Adventures so that I could draw out my stuff at my leisure. With a "Unicorn" in play, I could draw 2 cards and play 1 spell, etc..

Sweet, that sounds pretty good.

We should bug Wizards so much that they start the game again, lol.

I like the idea but sadly, I don't think that a lowly two people will be able to convince a major company to reconsider. Now if we had hundreds more, then we're cooking.

Try and get a couple of friends interested in Harry Potter and TCG's and see if they like the game.

I am going to work on that. The thing is that most of my friends like Magic: The Gathering.

Harry Potter was a well made TCG that just wasn't advertised very well. I personally liked it just as much as magic. If your friends aren't the "All other TCGs are instantly crap" type then they might just end up liking it (even more so if they like HP)

I used to run a league for Harry Potter down here in Georgia. It's been years since I've played though. Mainly cause I haven't had anyone, and no, I don't remember my deck. I've still got all my cards though. Maybe it's time for a comeback.
