What do you think the worst card in mtg is? I am going to have to go with Elephant Ambush
Instant
Put a 3/3 green Elephant creature token into play. Flashback 6GG (You may play this card from your graveyard for its flashback cost. Then remove it from the game.)
the good: instant the bad: mana cost is throught the roof! but i am sure there are worse cards than this. *cough* laviathin *cough* but right now, this is top on my list.

That burn card that does like 3 damage and you draw a card at the beginning of your upkeep for like...6 or 7 casting cost. I can't think of the name, darn I know it too..

The problem with Elephant Ambush is that people think all Flashback costs should be super low like Call of the Herd and Roar of the Wurm.
Elephant Ambush is instant speed, so its still a surprise to throw a token in the way, and opponents (well, observant ones), will be wary to attack when you have flashback mana available.
For a good idea of "Worst cards of all time," starcitygames.com is featuring one writer's opinion on the 100 worst.
Personally, my definition of a 'bad' card is one whose uses are so terribly narrow that there is almost always a better alternative.
I'm -still- not a big fan of Liar's Pendulum, the wall "Glyphs," and of course, Sorrow's Path.

well i know the good side about it (i actually said the good side) but 4 mana, then 7! for a 3/3! i just dont see how it could actually be PLAYABLE.
but there was a much worse card, but i cant think of the darn things name.
...and those glyphs suck... but i should have stated. newer cards only, not UBER old ones.

obviously you are naming some pretty recent cards in the suckyside of magic.
But anyone who has fallen out of their chair from laughing when an opponent casts a camel will know what I'm talking about.
this is worse than the ante cards you find in grab bags.

Anyone know any good points for Mistforms? Don't get me wrong, the ability to change type is good, BUT THAT'S ALL THEY DO!!! They almost completely dependent on other tribal types, and only if one want to spent a mana per MF. I suppose the fact most of them fly could be good.....
One good combo (though a bit expensive).... Mistform Ultimus w/ endemic Plague.

Mistform Warchief can be good. Other than that, I too don't like Mistforms. Also, the worst card I've seen ever (I haven't been playing that long) is Arc-Slogger. Assuming only been a couple of turns, you can only use it's effect 4 times before you deck out. THe card sucks ass.

Its still a fat body for relatively cheap with an effect that -wins games-.

I was really happy with the mistforms thinking flagbearers were going to come back with a vengence till I read one of my old flagbearers and it is an alternate ability on them their creature types just happen to match the ability I thought it was corresponded.
Like making a misform anything a flagbearer would make it the universal target of everything. but I was dissapointed.

against a theme deck, mistforms are unstoppable. i have played against a wicked mistform deck with my old sliver deck, and it almost beat me ;) lol, actually it whiped my sorry ass, i was so embarrased.
and sorry, but where can i get the rules about banding, i have NEVER understood how it worked, and my best understanding of it was you merged two creatures together and they would gain the effect and the power of them all together. ...i am sure i am way off, so could anyone help me with that?

A LOT of potential, but not enough was done with Mistforms.

3, UU
At the beginning of your upkeep, if you have 200 or more cards in your library, you win the game.

it had 4 of every search card like vampiric tutor, demonic tutor, diabolic tutor, etc...and 4 battle of wits. this was somewhere in a top deck I think.
I acually saw a deck that someone played during the odyssey pre-release and got pretty high up in the prize ranking he got a battle of wits in his card pool and had I think 2 diabolic tutor and seemed to win a majority of games with it. seeing as he was using a 230 card deck

Sorrow's Path
Giant Slug
the goblin from darksteel (1/1 must attack every turn.... even worse than Mon's Gobbo raiders)
and of course Tolarian Academy.

Gobbos attacking each turn isn't that horrid. Sorrows Path is definately bad. Don't joke about Academy being bad.... it's not funny.

Name: Scornful Egotist
cost: 7U
Morph:U
1/1
even the morph doesnt do anything, this is definantly the worst card ever made.

no its not. it just has a very specific use. it pretends to be a big creature for stuff like rush of knowledge or accelerated mutation ect. Not good but definately not the worst card out there. And with battle of wits there are decks that use it very effectively. check it out at the decks to beat section. i think its under one of the invitationals.

Academy is bad because it almost destroyed the game.
Crazed Goblin is the worst card from Darksteel. Its a 1-drop 1/1 with no abilities BUT a drawback. Talk about crud.

Leveler- 10/10 for 5, when it comes into play remove your library from game. I just dont see the good in it. It doesn't even have haste or trample...

no I still think for you new players go and look up camal and you will see the definition of crap in magic card form.
for the worst rare in my opinion nefarious lich, this thing even leaves play and you lose the game there are people in the stands with shotguns waiting to see this card be played and forever they will wait.
