I was just thinking about this yesterday and today. Do you remember at the end of Yusuke's Sacrifice, how Hiei said that he would never risk his life for anyone the way yusuke did? Ok, then in todays episode, he going on his own to save his sister. now i know that he had no idea where she was thats why he had the jagan put in, but its weird how fast his feelings changed. It just shows how much he really does care for his sister. And one more question, how is that he has this "sweet" side towards his sister, even thought he was raised by Makia thieves. I just thought it was an intresting topic to bring up.

Hiei had no intention of dying to save his sister from Tarukane and the Toguro Brothers, though I am sure he would. He cares about Yukina far too deeply to ever just disregard her, as we saw by him having the painful installation of a Jagan Eye.

Yes, Yukina does make another apperance that I know of in the Dark Tournament. She stays in the crowd and watches all of the Urimeshi Team fight...

Hieis mother was a fire apparition and yukinas was an ice there father I'm guessing was a normal demon of some sort.

Hiei and Yukina are twins, however, Yukina was turned out to be the clone of her mother while Hiei has the characteristic of their father. Koorimes have the ability to reproduce asexually, and their children are females if that's the case, but they also can reproduce sexually to have male children. Hiei can use fire probably because his father is a fire demon, but Muruko told him once that because Hiei himself inherited Koorime's attribute (ice), that's why his fire techniques actually do harms to his body.
