Okay, here's the idea for this deck. It has a possible 4th turn win. Turn one, play a mountain, tap for Pyrite Spellbomb or Shock, or attack with a Raging Goblin. (Do whatever I can to get my life higher than theirs.) Turn 2 - Play a swamp, Sacrifice the Spellbomb for 2 damage. (If that's what I played) or..play another shock. Turn 3 - Play a swamp/mountain, play Wall of Blood. Turn 4 - My opponent should have less life than me. Whatever the case, play a mountain/swamp, give Wall of Blood +?/+? (whatever their life total is), and play Grab the Reins on my Wall of Blood. Here is the deck.

Total Cards - 61

~Creatures~ 21
x4 Wall of Blood
x4 Spikeshot Goblin
x4 Raging Goblin
x4 Spineless Thug (Cheap filler)
x4 Severed Legion
x1 Royal Assassin (He's my homie)

~Artifacts~ 4
x4 Pyriyte Spellbomb

~Equipment~ 4
x4 Bonesplitter

~Instant/Sorcery/Enchantment~ 12
x4 Grab the Reins
x4 Shock
x4 Consume Spirit

~Land~ 20
x10 Swamp
x10 Mountain

I love the deck concept. I run something similar, but use Atog to power up Grab the Reins. I'm going to try and combine the two approaches into one deck.

This is what I came up with:

CREATURES:
Wall of Blood x4
Bottle Gnomes x4
Atog x4

Artifacts:
Pyrite Spellbomb x4
Talisman of Indulgence x4

Spells:
Dark Banishing x4
Shock x4
Grab the Reins x4
Consume Spirit x4
Diabolic Tutor x2
Blaze x2

Land:
Vault of Whispers x4
Great Furnace x4
Mountain x6
Swamp x6

In the early game the four Talismans serve to smooth out the mana base. In the late game they can be used as fuel for Atog. Same with the artifact lands.

The Bottle Gnomes serve three important purposes; they are effective early game blockers, they can be used as fuel for Atog or they can be sacrificed for life if you plan on finishing your opponent with the Wall of Blood.

Everything else is standard tech. Once Darksteel is released I’ll throw in Echoing Ruin/Decay and possibly Shunt for some mild control. Of course this deck is completely casual. I’ll start running it tonight to see how well it performs.

Ok, here's the problem I see with both of your decks, they are both too slow. But, I will stick to critiquing the first one.

Now, a Wall of Blood/Grab the Reigns combo can be pretty good if used correctly and if you have the correct cards to create a decent synergy with the rest. First off, you don't have enough lands. For burn, I'd personally keep it at 22. So, I'd suggest this...

4x Vault of Whispers
4x Great Furnace
6x Swamp
6x Mountains

Now your creatures, first off the Spineless Thug, Severed Legion, and Royal Assassin do not belong in this deck. These creatures are too slow for the given environment. Stick with the Wall of Blood, Spikeshot Goblin and Raging Goblin. Like the second deck mentioned, add Atog, but I'd also consider the possibility of Krark-Clan Grunt. (hopefully I spelt it right). Megatog may also be another possibility as well. Goblin Sharpshooter might be another possibility as well. It should look like this...

4x Wall of Blood
4x Spikeshot Goblin
4x Raging Goblin (or Goblin Sharpshooter)
4x Atog (or Krark Clan Grunt)
2x Megatog

Next are spells and artifacts, for both of your decks you don't have enough. Especially if you want to play the Tog's I'd suggest this, do not put equipments in for a deck of this nature due to the slow nature of the deck in amongst itself. Here's what I'd suggest

4x Pyrite Spellbomb
4x Grab the Reigns
4x Welding Jar (cheap artifact which could either power up the tog or get a spellbomb back)
4x Volcanic Hammer (or Hammer of Bogaden)
4x Shock

The thing is, is that you want speed. If this is a tournament deck, if you don't have it you'll get slaughtered by Affinity. Hopefully this helps a bit.

Yeah, I realize that both of our decks are slow. For me that's not a problem though. I already mentioned it was a casual deck, and will likely be used by me in multiplayer team games.

If you sacrafice something, unless it says "this can not be regenerated", then it is safe to regenerate it unless there is a way. The Welding jar is one card which lets you do this. All you have to do is sacrafice the welding jar (and I should mention it costs 0) to regain an artifact. Personally, if your playing heavy artifact cards, I feel it's a must.

Riptide,

Sacrificing a permanent doesn't destroy it, so regeneration or other effects that replace destruction can't affect it.

Ok, so my wording was off a wee bit, but you understand the gist of my comment correct?

Wall of Blood:1 Swamp, 2 colorless; 0/2; (Walls can't attack.) Pay 1 life: Wall of Blood gets +1/+1 until end of turn.

Grab the Reins: 1 Mountain, 3 colorless; Instant; Sacrifice a creature, then Grab the Reins deals damage equal to that creature's power to target creature or player *Didn't add in the entwine stuff*

Shock: 1 Mountain; Instant; Deal 2 Damage to target creature or player

Pyrite Spellbomb: Same thing...
