Crystal Chronicles came out, who here has it?

I got it today, havent played a lot, but it seems pretty good.

I dont exactly like the battle system, but it works.

I am VERY sad to say that after waiting so long for this game, I will not be purchasing it. I am turned off from hearing about the very basic plot of retrieving myrrh back and forth. I love the complex stories and the plots with hundreds of layers. I just am not interested in this. And another thing I don't like is when playing one player, I have read that it is just not that exciting. And you have to rely on the computer to go where you want to in the overworld. Multiplayer looks like a blast, but I am in no mood to purchase multiple GBA's that are required for each player. Again, I am EXTREMELY dissapointed with my decision here.

I rented it and took it back the same night, it just wasen't that good.

I would give it a 7.0 ..good music though.

I got it and like it a lot. But the battle system is annoying and having to carry that cup everywhere is annoying. Also having to stay in the shield is a pain with Mog. The music is real good also. I haven't gotten that far yet though, annoying homework.

yup..i said it was gonna happen..they were gonna mess it up for the GCN, but would slowly mess up the whole series and its name..i guess i still gotta rent this thing 'fore i can say some stuff...

but everyone from the old board remembers me saying this game would mess up.. it just got proven

I bought it today, and its not really what I expected. But I'm sure I'll like it after I get into it a bit more

However, having to stay in the circle is a pain in the ass and its difficult to change commands.

This game is just VERY different.

Yes staying in the circle is annoying as with Mog moving so slow. I also agree that the switching is a pain. As well as the speed of the spells, all that charging up and moving the target. And yes it is very hard. I beat the first boss and I am still trying to get used to it. I like it though, great graphics and music.

mm, ima wait til it goes down in price, like F Zero did in like..2 months after its release... it 40 bucks last time i checked, at my best buy...which was a month ago.
so did SC and one other game..i forgot..i think it was MP5, which was 35...

so i think this game'll also go down pretty soon..use that reward zone crap at best buy, and get it...

I actually like this game.

Once you get use to everything, it is rather fun to play. Granted it is a bit easy at first but around the 3rd year it picks up in difficulty. The character development isnt that great but, better then other games.

Heh. I love it! I have three friends with GBAs. We have a blast playing it. We play for hours and hours on end. It's really a game that you need the multiplayer to appreciate. It sucks that most people won't get the chance to play it, but I'm still really glad it came out.

My friend has the game, but he doesn't really like much. So, I most likely won't get it. Plus, I've heard so many bad things about it.

I now have 14 hours on this game and it is absolutely incredible. If you have played for at least 1-2 years on the game, then you know what I'm talking about. At first I actually didn't like it, but if you give this game a chance then I promise you won't be able to say anythin really bad about it.

It's a little easy, smack something, retreat, repeat. Not a lot of puzzles to solve.

But the graphics are amazing! And it get's insanely hard the next couple go arounds. You have to be careful not to get mauled.

I got frozen, then blasted with a Thundaga, game over.

But seriously, it's good. I'm don't have any friends who are interested, so I have to make do

I played and beat the game in about 13 hours.

The final sequence is very hard, while almost the entire first cycle for all the dungeons is way to easy.

The graphics are great, the character development isnt that great but i still felt like i wanted to save the world....not my character.

And its action, which some people dont like, but i liked it for a change. It was welcomed after the other FF games......

I suggest getting it even if you dont have friends to play it with.

so are you one your own when you fight, or does the computer also help a little by giving you more characters by your side?

Your on your own, so some puzzles towards the end can be difficult or nearly impossibly by yourself. And im sure the final boss is easier with some friends.... but it can still be beat by yourself if you have the right items and stats.

I haven't played the multiplayer mode yet, but I think that the game would be incredibly easy if you had more than 1 fighter. Also, it probably sucks for the player who gets stuck carrying the chalice.

They have done something so that the difficulty is upped if there are more people playing.

Well I don't have the game, but only the OST to the game. Though I'll look into it.

You're right, I just read in NP how the monsters difficulty level is multiplied by about 1.75 each time you revisit a level. In multiplayer, the monsters are at around 150% the strength they are in multiplayer. But still, they would never last long against a team attack.

Well, my friends and I beat it Tues. night. The clock said somewhere around 27 or so hours, but I think it's inaccurate. I think it was more along the lines of 37-40.

As Marinefire mentioned, the last sequence is extremely difficult. From the time we saved before the last dungeon until we beat the last boss was about 5-6 hours. That's because the last couple of bosses are so frustratingly difficult, we died over and over again.
