Are Ganon and Ganondorf

Are they the same person? Cause everyso often someone mentions them as if they are two different people, this is probably very obvious but im not sure :D

According to OoT, they are the same being, but different forms. Generally, Ganondorf is his human form, and Ganon is his evil pig wizard form.

Are all of the Ganons and Ganondorfs from all of the games the same one? Maybe. Assuming that the Ganondorf in TP is the one from OoT (which is likely considering the similarities of his execution/banishment), then it is possible that they are all the same person, imbued with magical immortality over the years. Taking OoT as the first game chronologically to feature Ganon, it can be assumed that Ganondorf is his original form, and that his beast form was gained through the course of that game, and was his chosen form by the time of the original titles. At least one Ganondorf was proven to be another Ganondorf from a different game, which is the one from WW, who makes references to his campaign from OoT.

Well I don't know about which one you should call 'normal', because he debuted in his monster form. But when Ocarina of Time came out, his ancestry was revealed so it can be assumed he was born looking like a person.

Ganon is Ganondorf.

When they added the "dorf" to his name it isn't because he's a different individual, it was added because they probably thought they were clever and nobody would see the play on the name "Gandalf" or the word "dwarf" or whatever.

It's there just to signify change.

Ganondorf, and Ganon are the same person. In LoZ: ATTP the Zelda, and the 6 Maidens explain Ganondorf's transformation into Ganon.

Gandondorf is the Prince of Thieves.
Ganon is the King of Darkness.

Yes all the Ganon/Ganondorfs are the same one. The Links, and Zeldas are different.

So does Gannon's appearance have anything to do with how the moglins(i think that's what they are called) look?

Also... i think Gannon/Gannondorf is the same person throughout all the Zelda games. The time frame is never specified in the Zelda games. So the question isn't are there more than one Gannon/Gannondorfs, it's is there more than one Link....

My answer is yes.... what do you think?

This was explained in LoZ: ALTTP. After going to Dark World (Golden Land) the Maidens explain Ganons history. He starts out as Ganondorf a thief. But Ganondorf's greed leads him to the Tri-Force which he's acquired transforms him into Ganon the King of Darkness.

(gamecube) four swords he gets the trident. this would have to place four swords before ALTTP since he has the trident then. though the very first zelda(which is stated as the first in chronological standards) with ganon had the trident as well.

it's too confusing if you try to figure out the timeline from someone else saying this goes here and that goes there.

pretty sure the manifestation of evil power from the triforce is ganon. this would allow for there to be two ganon's in the zelda world. one that was completely destroyed, or sired by the magician from ALTTP which took his powers for his own(like how in twilight princess how zelda was possessed)

OoT ganondorf gets the triforce of power. end result when he is about to die he transforms into ganon. he gets sent into another dimension, but is both ganon and ganondorf. twilight princess its the same guy, as well as wind waker.

whatever. each new zelda game gives more of a story that makes sense. there are new zelda games coming so things will get easier to understand.
