Why is this guy so friggin expensive? I was browsing cards in Portal: Sangoku when i see this guy going for $120 +. Not only is he unplayable in any tourney format but he cant be reanimated and costs 8 or 9 to cast.

It is costly because of the collectiability of the card. Zodiac Dragon only saw one (and limited at that) printing in Portal: Three Kingdoms.

With out its errata it looks like whenever it goes to the graveyard you rturn it to your hand so you cant reanimate it. However, the Oracle text says when it's put into a graveyard from play.

yeah, w/o Oracle text it's squee on crack. he'd be abused like a red-headed step-child. wild mongrel + dragon = GG. um, no.

Exactly my point. Before the correction it was retarded discard fodder. Pump Psychatog a billion times.

There's really no difference between a CCG and a TCG. Collectors can't trade? Traders can't collect? They're just terms, WotC calls them TCGs, everybody else calls them CCGs.
The Dragon's price is mainly due to it's rarity and the fact that it's a dragon. Dragons are the one creature type in Magic that always keep a steady high value no matter how crap.

TCG/CCG is irrelevant. you're either trading a buttload of cards, or trading money for this stupid dragon.

quite often when a card is popular among the casual crowed/collectors its price will skyrocket higher than most tier 1 cards
probably because the casual crowed is about 10x bigger than the tournament crowed
