This is my old, Extended, MUC deck. I posted this awhile ago and got a good deck running, which I have tweaked. It's not much to explain, just get out a Scepter if possible, maybe with Aether Burst, other than that Counterspell, Accumulated Knowledge, Memory Lapse, Mana Leak, etc., and kill off your opponent slowly. Win condition is draw with Arcanis, and protect the Faeire Conclaves while they beat. Here's the list:
[2] Arcanis the Omnipotent
[2] Creatures
[4] Lonely Sandbar
[4] Faerie Conlave
[15] Island
[23] Land
[4] Isochron Scepter
[4] Fact or Fiction
[4] Accumulated Knowledge
[4] Aether Burst
[2] Capsize
[4] Mana Leak
[4] Counterspell
[3] Force Spike
[2] Forbid
[4] Memory Lapse
[34] Other Spells
[4] Ophidian
[4] Impulse
[4] Quicksand
[1] Forbid
[1] Capsize
[1] Force Spike
[15] Sideboard
Well there ya have it, but there are a few things I think I should mention:
-I don't have a lot of money. Don't suggest outrageous things like Morphling, Chrome Mox, etc. I may be able to get Masticore, Force of Will for SB (it was only 14.95 Canadian at my card store, but I didn't have enough to get it then, I'm going to see if it's still there next time), and Intuition, which I may consider adding now that I have both Accumulated Knowledge and Aether Burst added.
-I'm thinking about taking out the Force Spikes for something better such as Boomerangs. It doesn't get much use nowadays with the 8 come-into-play-tapped lands, but it's still an awesome card. If I decide to take them out, it will be 3 Force Spike and 2 Capsize for 4 Boomerand, 1 Forbid, probably.
-Lonely Sandbar is just the cheapest replacement that I can find. As soon as I can find reasonably priced Wastelands or Rishadan Ports, they WILL be going in.
-For those of you who haven't noticed, the SB is put in for casual play, so I can add in Extended-illegal cards such as Quicksand, etc.
-Arcanis is simply awesome in this deck. I was thinking of replacing it with Palinchron or Quicksliver Dragon, but after I tried it out, it's worked fine. I was able to slowly kill off my opponent with the Conclaves, while drawing and countering everything that he had.
That's enough talk....but the last thing I wanted to say is that I posted this deck on Essential Magic and it got an average 2 out of 5 rate. Is this right? I'm not sure. It would have gotten higher had my stupid friend gave me such a low rating, because I had given HIM a low rating, without him knowing that it was me. He still hasn't mentioned it to me, so he's oblivious to it, I guess.
Rate and fix away....I'm pretty sure this deck is in eed of major improvements.
