Should Tag Dueling have a different format?

Should Team Dueling and Regular Dueling have different banned lists? I ask this because some cards that are broken in teams aren't in regular!

Im not gunna hide it...I only ask because I really want Ojama Trio to come back!

Any chance this could happen?

I think that if they're going to make it a competitive format they're going to have to make a custom banned/restricted list. According to the people involved in the Tag Team Tournament at Nationals, most teams were either running Burn or maining/siding heavily for burn. And, as you said, some cards aren't as broken in the format, but some are also much more broken.

Yes. There needs to be a separate restrcited/ban list. Chain Burn decks pretty much rule tag tournaments. I type from first-hand knowledge of losing in 2 turns on several occasions.

Yes team duel should have a differnt format since it is not the same as 1v1.

The rules of the game have changed on a fundamental level. Thus, what makes a card broken or not broken has also changed, which means that the banlist needs to be different.

Although personally all I would do is ban Ookazi, Just Desserts, Secret Barrel, Poison of the Old Man, Meteor of Destruction, and Tremendous Fire. Since random Spell Burn is broken in Tag dueling.

Limit deck construction so that both decks combined would have to conform to the forbidden list. i.e., Jim has two copies of Wulf, Joe has 1. Jim and Joe have to decide which one of them will play Mirror Force, etc.

I've watched enough team duels to know that i never want to see 6 copies of Macro Cosmos on one team again. Burn doesn't win team duels, except against bad people.

Other list will get rid of that problem as well (macro cosmos at 1).
I think that a different should be made.

Naw, my bro use to play around with Tag Rules all the time. Most of the rules we have now we've used except each player had 8000 lp and couldn't sack each others monster. that much life isn't needed and would take way to long, but we had fiber jar back then.

Team Burn was only good when people didn't know how to play Team Duels. Now that everyone is experienced, they are just an easy deck-type to beat.

it should have a different format theres two ways people play though, share a feild and seperate feild...thats preety cheap to know you can have up to 10 monsters on the feild
