View Full Version : If you could create a move...

PaperLuigi

Since I'm not creating any master team any time soon, what the heck.
I got the idea when I saw one of RareHunterX's posts about Ice types not having many good moves, so any way:

If you could create a move for Pokemon (within reason) what would it be? It could be that well deserved attack Ice types need, or a move with interesting effects or just some really cool move we would love to use. Nintendo came up with some interesting move ideas, and we can too! :)

As for me,

Hyper Reverse
Type: Grass
Damage: 100
Accuracy:90
PP:5
Description: Absorbs and heals HP equal to damage inflicted.

This is similar to my Butterfree card that I love to use to annoy my opponent, but different.

What about you?

A grass move with 100% accuracy, 95 power, and 15 PP, preferably in the form of an HM. They should have done that with Cut.

Ice types are my Favorite.

Ice-cykle Swipes
Type: Ice
Damage: 30
Accuracy: 100
PP:25
Description: Attacks the opponent with 2 to 5 times with it's sharp claws. (Like Fury Swipes, but does Ice Damage)

Pollen Storm
Type: Grass
Damage: 0
Accuracy: 100
PP:5
Description: Pollen Spores come out and cause Special Effects on both Pokemon. (Does not effect Steel and Poison and Grass type

Grudge Song
Type: Normal
Damage: 0
Accuracy: 100
PP:5
Description: After 3 turns, all of your opponents Power Points in their moves drop to 0. (Switching ends its effect).

Redirect
Type: Dark
Damage: 0
Accuracy: 85
PP: 10
Description: When your opponent attacks with a "Beam" attack. The attack is directed, right back to the user.

PaperLuigi

Mean Look + Grudge Song= Evil.

There are some good ideas so far, if not a little broken.

Spirit Beam
Type: Ghost
Accuracy: 95
Power: 100
PP:10
Description: 10% chance of temporarily decreasing all of opponent's stats. (Like Ancientpower's evil brother. Mwahahaha)

Hurricane Shockwave
Type: Flying
Accuracy: 100
Power: 150
PP: 5
Description: Power decreases as HP dwindles. (Like Eruption or Water Spout.)

Avalanche
Type: Ice
Accuracy: 100
Power: 150
PP: 5
Description: Just like Hurricane Shockwave.

Keep the ideas rolling.

scyther, being my fav in the whole game, would be

hyper spin

Pow:---
Acc: 100

IF a special attack attacks scyther next turn, the damage is halved then reflected back at the normal damage. (think cynaquil v scyther- johto bugsy)

God Speed

Pow:---
Acc: 100

Strikes first. Does damage equal to the speed skill

Super Protect

I hope no pokemon that can learn mind reader/lock-on would also be able to learn that move...
*cough* BROKEN *cough* xD

Making Aeroblast a TM due to the lack of decent flying attacks wouldn't hurt. Drill Peck/Aerial Ace are the only reasonable ones, but drill peck has no side effect (like crunch, for example) and aerial ace's base power is a little low.

Meteor Mash wouldn't be a bad TM either. Only metagross and clefairy learn it through leveling up, and other steel moves can't really compare to it. Iron Tail is too inaccurate, and steel wing is...bleh...xD

And for the love of money, can we get a grass move that's comparable to surf/thunderbolt/flamethrower/ice beam?!

I like those ideas about the TM's those two moves would make really good TM's but they'd have to be the kind you get once per game.

But as for what you said about grass moves: How about Ice moves that mimic Giga Drain? Or electric Moves to mimic Leach seed?
