An excellent annoyer/tank. The reasoning behind the imbalance of special defense and defense EVs is Will-O-Wisp, as it decreases the opposing pokemon's attack rating anyways. Bright Powder is used to maximize the PP destruction.

I've decided to drop soul dew, simply because some people consider latios an uber when it's equipped. Latios still holds the position of an excellent special sweeper though.

Overall, a great pokemon. The speed EVs actually aren't just a waste, because Metagross should have enough speed to break the 130 base value limit with one agility. Once FR/LG arrives, HP Rock will be replaced with Rock Slide of course.

Well, there ya' go. I've decided to completely drop slaking because it never helped as much as I believed it had. Also, I know that I have 3x fire weaknesses, but it honestly isn't a problem. Remember, most battles are 3v3, not 6v6.

ive looked it at a couple of times and it looks great if i would have to rate it i would rate it in the high 9s the only thing that bothers me is not having dragon claw on latios but im sure u have ur reasons

Yep, there is a reason for no Dragon Claw, and that's type coverage. Ice Beam covers dragons, ground, flying, and grass, while dragon claw only covers dragons; albeit it does get STAB.

Metagross's speed EVs are overkill, you don't need that many to get the job done, thus they are a waste as you could invest some of them in HP. Plus, for a specific target speed, 128 speed EVs proves you're too lazy to do some basic arithmetic.

I agree with Fallen Ronin on the EV's going into speed.... I mean one agility should rid you of any problems right? Metagross can afford to go second and take one hit the first turn he's out right? Well I hope so. Hm another one of my half-baked/crazy Ideas... Now this is only if you AR the skarmory to get it's IV HP IV at 31 or something.... If its IV for HP is 31 and you give it 252 EV's you have 334 HP... It has lefties which gives 1 every 16 HP.... In this Event you will get 20 and be 2 HP sort of of 21... So what I think you should do is lower your EV's on HP to 200 which will give you a HP of 321 which is just one up from a multiple of 16 (320) That way you get the maximum efficency with the HP and you can use the other 52 in a more Needy stat. SpD anyone? Just my idea.

Yes, I would usually do that, but skarmory's IV in HP isn't 31. DarkmasterChaos, I like your logic behind the idea though.

If I put lum on meta, then I would have to take it off latios and most likely equip soul dew (I just don't like repeat items). Once I do that though, I can hear the people now...

Since you are the second person to suggest dragon claw over ice beam, I guess I'll test it out, but I just like the extra type-coverage that ice beam provides. :rolleyes:

The 129 attack EVs should be in defense, sorry about that.
