It has a few extra features. You can take pictures with your Miis with the Pokemon. And the rancher lady trades you Pokemon now and then. When you get the Rance Level 15, she trades you a Phione, and when you get to Ranch Level 25, she trades you a Mew... so that may be a reason to get it if you want that.

No, you get PHIONE. Completley different pokemon. It's the result of a Manaphy breeding with a Ditto. But it is NOT Manaphy.

The game reminds me of a Tamagotchi. Except it's worse.

It's not worth $10, I'll say that much..

A lot of people seem to be having fun with it, but it's mainly people who are into virtual pets, people who must own every Pokemon game, or people into fun/cute games.

I'm considering it, but only for the Mew. /: *shakes fist at Nintendo*

If you've got D/P then it's a nice add-on to that.

You can drop off your D/P pokemon to make the ranch bigger, the bigger it gets the more stuff can be put in to it, such as toys, statues and other play things.
Even your friends who have there own pokeman can come and put they're pokemon in your ranch and there mii's, don't worry though, they won't get muddled up with your own, pokemon can only return to their original DS cart, so your friends can't steal your Mew, but they can play with it and take pictures of it, plus all the pokemon interact very well and depending on there nature depends how well they interact.

Of course Hayley (the ranch girl) will bring a new pokemon each day to help make the ranch bigger, she will trade with you (on her own occasions) and you do get the chance to have Phione, Tangela and Mew.

The game is pretty much like Sonic Adeventure's Chao Garden, just interacting with your pokemon and having them stored somewhere else rather than in your DS.

The price doesn't seem fair but then again Nintendo are asking for $5 for 20 year old retro games so unless your a poke-fan or after some rare pokemon to finish your collection or just want to watch your own pokemon frloic around in a different enviroment instead of trying to kill each other then it's worth trying out. I just got it today and i'm rather pleased with it.

Japan got Platinum in September and didn't get their update until November. Hopefully that should give you a benchmark of what to expect. ._.

I was dissapointed in it. When i got it I had the impression that you'd at least be able to walk around.
I thought Mew and Manaphy were really the only point to this, but it did save some space in my Boxes when I made like 60 Charmanders for my friend xD
It took me forever to get to 999 pokemon though.

The only good reason to buy this is for the Phione and Mew.
