Milotic is definately a top tier poke and worth considering for a team. I'm thinking I might try out...
Milotic@Leftovers
Modest-252/0/129/129/0/0
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Toxic/Mirror Coat
-Recover
Then again, milotic can have multiple movesets and EV distributions that still work well.

i like this personally-
Milotic@Salac
Timid
Marvel Scale
252 Speed/ 252 HP/ 6 Sp Attack
Recover
Attract
Confuse Ray
Surf/Ice Beam
It's hard to get an attack off with Confusion and Attraction poking at you, and if he does happen to get attacked, just heal him!

Both her weaknesses are special based, so I like carrying Mirror Coat. Max HP and put enough in special defense to survive Jolteon's Thunderbolt (or whatever you're expecting, I think Zapdos' Thunderbolt is the strongest in the game). Rest in special attack, with Recover for recovery (Mirror Coat+Recover always appealed to me), Surf for STAB, and Ice Beam for Dragons/Grass/whatever.
Or you could Toxic-Trap with Wrap, then stall with Dive and Recover.

Milotic is one of my personal faves as well. It was on my BT Team that won 328 straight times. Here's the MS I use:
Milotic@Lefties
Nature: Timid
Surf
Ice Beam
Toxic
Recover
I know it's not original, but movesets become standard for a reason: They Are Good.
I really wanted a Modest Nature, but Timid was my 2nd choice, and you know how it gets after you've bred dozens and dozens. Sometimes 2nd best is good enough. It was in this case; not only the right nature, but excellent IVs in SP. ATK and SPEED. The remainder were all well above average. As I recall, it's IV's totalled 156 out of a possible 186. Very strong.
I've tried Mirror Coat, and it's better than Ice Beam in real battles. But, I've found the BT Pokemon to be too unpredictable. They often don't use their type-advantage, rendering your counter strategies useless.
One thing that hasn't been mentioned that should: ALL it's best TMs/HMs are passed on through breeding. Get a Male Milotic who knows Ice Beam, Toxic, Mirror Coat, or Surf and you've got as many of them as you'd like without using any more TMs or Breeding Chains. Sweet!
Overall, I give Milotic a 9/10. It'd be a 10 if it was consistantly faster than Sceptile, so you could KO it with Ice Beam before it hammers you with Leaf Blade.
