Okay, can you say combo maker?
I see this also a convoluted way for Mono Blue to have mass kill. Mirrorweave + Arcbound creature = whole field is dead.

So many combos with this, my Johnny Senses are tingling...

This can trade against Tarmogyof in early games, but outside of this, is it really any better than Mogg Fanatic? It says it replaces Kird Ape, but it seems like a better Jackal Pup.

For 3 white or blue, I get a 4/4 Flying Blocker? I get a Fog Elemental that does the same for one less mana. It has flash and does not die after one blocking? Now that sounds good.

Seriously, if you are running this in constructed, you already lost. For 3 Mana, I want draw power or a good hitter. Not a wannabe defender. If this had Shroud instead of Flash, I would like it better.

For limited/sealed, this is insane. A no drawback 4/4 Flying Blocker w/ flash is great.

*Thinks to self* Note to self there is some broken to hell combo with this card that your non-combo oriented brain is unaware of if seen counter it.


Check thanks for the tip I generally don't see combos in magic until after I have lost to them. I don't know why I just don't meh.

Mirrorweave is more a defensive cards over offense or combo.

That I can picture but you mentioned it as a combo card so my non-combo oriented brain started saying "damn not another lark/saffi/etc to deal with."

I know, there are combos for it. I just can not think of them right now.

I only slowing coming back to MTG. YGO tempted me...they had cookies...double chocolate chip with Macedonia nuts...and ice cold coke...

this set is going to be fairly nice , it will be a great limited format set. and its got some awesome cards for standard :)

Jackal pup is arguably better than kird ape because you don't need to play green or have a forest out.

Its not quite a pup but don't let the hybrid fool you, this WILL give RDW a crucial edge. Fanatic is a very good one drop but it can only take up 4 slots, add this and you have 8 strong one drops.

Jackal Pup is good. I agree with your first point. Hence why I compared this card to Jackal Pup. This creature is better than Jackal Pup as you do not take any damage from the damage it deals.

WOW at the Maniac.

Thats my kind of card!

Mirrorweave doesnt seem too great, but I guess it could be comboliciuos.


Also, DM, thanks for putting this up. I have a busy schedual, and I was hopeing someone else would post when I have not.

Sounds good. You'll most likely beat me every time except Friday nights :)

Its good to see that the rumor mill is doing awsome. Hopefully it will even get us some more members of the MTG forum, which is my ultimate goal.

I'm pretty excited about it.

Looks like alot of bombs, and the maniac preview really makes me excited.
