Oona's spiffy. She's a 5/5 flyer for 6 mana, which is okayish, but she also generates a swarm of flyers to Meloku-up the table. Unlike the good soratami, she's big enough to keep the pressure on. Whether her mana cost keeps her out of constructed decklists or not remains to be seen. Faeries are already quite capable of brewing up a swarm. I don't see her as a mill engine.

When you consider that the number of hybrid cards in the set means that each colour will have twice as many cards to choose from as normal per pack, resulting in strong mono-colour limited decks, she'll be churning out an army. This set is full of rare draft bombs. Reminds me on Onslaught. Fantastic art, at the moment it's looking at "Best In Show."

Deep-Slumber Titan looks fun. I'm sure there are mechanics in existence that'll keep him awake easily enough but I can't think of them at the moment. They usually include one card in a set to work with stuff like this. Pyroclasm's the most obvious, sweep the board then plough in with this guy for the win. It's possible that he'll make an unlikely, Detritivore-esque splash in constructed but more likely he's junk.

I was just thinking, although Mono Blue Control (AKA Sonic Boom) isnt played too much anymore, I think Oona could be a good replacement for Guile. Guile couldnt block swarms of creatures, while Oona can create many creatures to block, while it still has evasion just as Guile.

I agree Deep-Slumber Titan will probably be junk, although it would be decent in a Prodigal Pyromancer/Prodigal Sorcerer deck ;) I'm sure it might be good for casual. You could run pyroclasm, sulfurous blast, molten disaster, etc.

You know, we've been seeing a TON of high-cost cards from the previews. Is WoTC trying to deliberately make us think that Shadowmoor is all about mana acceleration (thus hyping up the hybrid lands) or is this actually what the block will be chock full of when it comes to bombs? =/

Anyways, Oona looks like something that could be a win conditon. Sort of like Meloku. Now, just give her Flash and I'd fall in love =/

In love yet?

I can see Oona being wicked sick in Teachings, Sonic Boom, and mill(has this ever been viable?) I can also see her wrecking Lark decks as well since she is removing them from the game while generating swarms just from one body. All in all I love her and it almost makes me want to convert from U/W to U/B.

Titan could be interesting with Pyrocasim, Sulferious Blast, Molten Desaster, and maybe even Rival's Duel and not to mention if your opponent blocks it he auto untaps and I don't think a lot of people would like the option of "block or take a seven point shot." Meh but in the end I would probably have to agree he's a junk rare.

Oro?

Did I do something good? lol.

Although I always wondered. Why is the mono-blue deck called Sonic Boom. I never quite understood that.

Rage Forger doesn't do anything for the Titan. The creatures with +1/+1 counters on them only deal damage to players not to creatures. Also note Rage Forger is a Giant Warrior so he doesn't even get the counters.

Desert, however, is a valid option.
