Well, this is just a thread to post your info about that pack...

I do have some questions about the pack that you may/ may not know yet, but:

1) What is the approximate release date?

2) Anyone know the starter decks for the pack?

That's only the theme decks. Because of this "Ninja Academy Open Enrollment" program, the release of the hobby boosters has been pushed back one month.

the date is 05-22-2008 (i think) for packs and 04-25-2008 for the starter decks...the decks feature a kisame, an oro, a tsunade and a gaara deck, one is combined with lightning, one i think is mono water....

I'm kinda glad that there isn't another Naruto or Sasuke starter. With the exception of Gaara, the new starters are a nice change.

Naruto and Sasuke starters get old fast...

I want to see a Shikamaru / Asuma starter and for earth to get the ability to go mono :)

Earth would need a lot of support to be able to go Mono. Right now Earth has next to no decent Jutsu to support a Mono type and it has absolutely no Draw Power.

Yeah, I know, the only good earth jutsus are DFC and disguise jutsu...

And DFC can only be used by the first hokage which is really annoying -_-

What about Headhunter Jutsu (Path)? It's pretty good for Earth but alot of people underestimate it but it depends though. DFC is slightly better than Headhunter though.

yeh head hunter owns against a team, but earth should never be able to go mono

DFC is way better than HH. Granted, only the First can use it but if you've taken at least 4 BRs and can make three teams of 5, it's GG for your opponent unless they can negate it.

Now HH isn't a terrible card, but it's not great either. It can help, but I usually ended up ditching it to play Caged Bird or the First as I would rather keep Disguise in my hand.

I know Kisame is also one of the new Chosen Starters being released next to Gaara but I'm hoping The Chosen actually sheds some light on the game and doesn't become out of print like with R&R and BoD.

First time Bandai became out of print with R&R they told everyone to buy the tins with the R&R packs and they never released unlimited versions for R&R. Then Bandai pulls the same thing with BoD which is stupid.

As for Earth yeah Bandai needs to fix the element itself, give it some better Jutsu and Missions. Give it some draw power, maybe something else besides Caged Bird.

It's like Earth is still the worst element in the game where you're narrowed down to 3-4 elements instead of the full 5.

Earth is a great support element to complement another element in your deck, other-wise, don't bother

i really liek the new shino's effect..every ninja in you opponents hand gets +1 enterance cost..can you say field control?

No you're wrong, the new Shino's effect says that all your Opponent's Missions get +1 Entrance Cost not Ninjas. Sucks I know.

Anyway now that I think about it Earth still has a few other good Jutsu besides DFC, Disguise Jutsu (Coils), Headhunter (Path), and Caged Bird.

If you base an Earth deck around the Nara Clan you can run Shadow Strangle Jutsu (R&R) which is still pretty good with the Shikamaru/Temari Platoon which counts as both Genin and Chunin as well as Shikaku Nara on T4. Shadow Possession Jutsu (R&R) isn't bad either but sadly it can be fanned unless you Scythe for backup.

There's also Multiple Attacks from BoD, it's risky but effective as it's one of Earth's only means of direct damage Jutsu. Then there's a Mission card that's like Pass Permit for both Earth/Wind but it's called Announcement of the Pairing.
