I wouldn't mind getting the LV50 Pokemon offered through this game, but I do not own it. Should I rent it and beat it to get these for my Diamond game? How long does it take to beat this game?

I didn't have to beat the game to receive Magmortar or Electivire. If that is what your talking about.
