My area in Kansas City, MO doesn't have many Naruto players left and my area hasn't had a Naruto Tournament since last year in December. Besides me and MeGaMaRiK (who plays up North somewhere) there's at least a few people that still play Naruto at A-Z Comics.

A-Z Comics also hasn't had very many people in the recent Battle of Destiny Launch Event as there was only 2-3 people that entered due to the expensive $20 entry fee.

One of my friend's that used to play moved to England and his best friend quit and hasn't been around since last year. It's just me, pandaguin, and a few others that still play.

As compared to other places in the Kansas City suburbs like Game Cafe and Pulp Fiction in Lee's Summit my meta is VERY small and it wasn't this small last year as there were a few more people playing.

One of my other friend's has considered quiting and he tried to loan me $100 just so that he could sell the rest of his Naruto cards to me. That's just sad and I think it's because Dragonball Z/GT is making a comeback in my area as well.

I'd really hate to quit playing Naruto and sell all my stuff cause I enjoy playing the Naruto CCG, so I'm mainly gonna play casual in case someone wants to play me.

Dragonball Z/GT on the other hand I've almost had more fun playing than Naruto for some reason even though it's a dead card game.

A-Z hasn't been the same as much, gas prices are still high, the cold is still bad, and most of my other friends either have to work during the weekends or their busy with college. It's just straight up bad... :(

We had 6 players total today, I took 2nd, damned mental power!

A-Z Comics is a great place, I personally would show up since tournaments are on Saturdays. The only problem is gas prices, heh.

I would play up there Saturdays and play at Action Sports on Sundays if I could.

I think it's just the weather for us, we had more than 6 show up but also since it was super bowl sunday not many people wanted to show up at 10 AM to get the tournament done with lol.

You're lucky, even though I had the money I couldn't afford entering cause I was $20 short.

Next time when Damon Mason comes back at A-Z (If ever) I'm gonna see If he's still serious about selling all his Naruto stuff including his decks as well. Last time I talked to him he was pretty serious to me though.

I hope things get better at A-Z but it looks like business is low and people are going to Game Cafe more in Independence. I can't even go to Game Cafe as much since I live closer to A-Z Comics anyway.

I'm actually kinda surprised Naruto has lasted as long as it has, considering how broken Eternal Rivalry become and yet Gaara-Shika-Cho is the most broken early game advantage in the game. I even still get owned by Mono-Fire Jonins' Intervention yet I lost against a Fuma Clan deck just recently and made a few wins in Naruto as well.

My mom lives in KC and I was thinking about going to some genin tournys down there, but would they even be played. I live in Iowa and it is a 3 hour drive to KC, I would get to see my mom, but would mainly be going there for the tourny, is it worth it?

Well thing is my area mainly has Academy Level and Meijin Challenge Tournies only. Plus the only available tables are in the back of the store which are 5-6 tables, yeah the store owner did some remodeling cause she needed to sell the rest of her comics from her basement plus with gas prices high business has been low.

I take it you're already a Genin hidden mist haku? I've been playing in Naruto tournies since the game first came out and I'm still not a Genin yet cause I've been original in most of my deck builds that I've played. Now I only have 1 deck currently.

As for whether or not it's worth it, If you can afford the gas every now and then heck ya. If not then it's a shame...

If you want you could send a pm to the Meijin judge in my area, he actually posts here on Pojo like I do and his username here is pandaguin.

At our place, Genin's are always played, whether it's 4 people or 10. Last week's tournament consisted of 4 people, the week before consisted of 11 lol.

I think it really depends on the weather.

There may be hope yet for Naruto at A-Z Comics, me and my friends at A-Z are gonna try to do whatever we can to get more people into the game even If it means converting YGO players into it as well.

So If there's anyone out there who likes the Naruto anime/manga series, like's playing TCG's, and lives in the Blue Springs or Lee's Summit area of Kansas City, MO please let me know or send me a PM.
