Eggman wiped his head clean of sweat, because Metal Shadow was complete. Now the testing would begin. Eggman wanted to make sure that Metal Shadow didn’t have any malfunctions before he destroyed Sonic.
“Metal Shadow, please listen to my command!”
The black robot turned and looked at Eggman, red eyes flaring with power. Metal Shadow was as large as Sonic, but his strength was untouchable. Not even the world’s strongest man could lift more weight than Metal Shadow.
“Your first test begins…NOW.”
About sixty of Eggman’s strongest robots entered the room.
“Robots, destroy that thing!”
“Yes mast…”
Metal Shadow had already destroyed five of the robots, including the one that responded to Dr. Eggman. Eggman’s jaw was down at his chest. None of his robots had ever done that. Dr. Eggman watched as wave after wave of robot was destroyed by an untouched Metal Shadow. Eggman knew this machine was his ultimate creation, and with the help of Metal Shadow, Eggman would conquer the world.
“Metal Shadow, now for your second test. I want you to plant a remote mine on something for me…”

Sonic was on the tip of the Tornado, with Tails and Knuckles guiding the plane through the clear blue sky. While Sonic was sucking the clean air, when saw dust kicking up below the Tornado. He tried to see who was running ahead, but he couldn’t see who it was. Sonic thought it could possibly be a minion of Eggman, but then he saw a tiny shade of black. It was Shadow. Sonic just rolled his eyes, not bothering to wonder how Shadow was doing. Sonic was about to signal to continue going straight, until he saw Tails struggling with the steering wheel. Knuckles was also struggling with his wheel, and the plane went into a nose dive.
“SONIC GET OFF THE TORNADO!”
Sonic was too terrified to move. The Tornado never went into a sudden nosedive. He was thinking something suspicious was going on. But he couldn’t investigate, because the Tornado had just landed into the ground, nose first. Sonic was on his back, lifeless, with a some blood coming down his head. He was unconscious.

“EXCELLENT! My plan was perfect! Sonic is now out cold, and Metal Shadow can destroy everything else. By the time Sonic wakes up, he will be my prisoner!”
Metal Shadow was at the side Eggman, who was watching a the tape of Sonic’s crash. Eggman had one of his robot spies tape the destruction of the Tornado. Metal Shadow, had planted a mine inside one of the Tornado’s rocket boosters while Tails and Knuckles were flying the plane. Metal Shadow had moved too quick to detect with a radar, and threw the mine inside the booster after he latched onto the Tornado.
“Metal Shadow, you’re my favorite creation ever!”
What Eggman didn’t notice, was one of his older creations, looking through the door at Eggman and Metal Shadow. A red eye began to examine Metal Shadow, locking in data into its memory banks. The eyes then turned black, and the figure walked away from the door.

“Sonic…Sonic…Sonic…WAKE UP!”
Sonic was not moving. Shadow was at the side of Sonic, and so was Tails and Knuckles, who managed to survive the crash. Tails got up, and was trying to find a radio from the destruction of the Tornado.
“Come on, we have to contact someone to help Sonic wake up!”
Shadow was trying to wake up Sonic. There was blood slowly coming down from Sonic’s head.
“Knuckles, help me move Sonic somewhere safer.”
Shadow and Knuckles lifted Sonic. For such a tiny hedgehog, he weighed more than the average hedgehogs.
“Sonic needs to lay off the chili dogs for a while.”
They placed Sonic onto a rock, and waited for him to wake up. They couldn’t believe that this had happened. Knuckles was trying to make sense of this accident.
“Knuckles! Shadow! Look at this!”
Knuckles and Shadow ran over to Tails, who managed to find something. Tails was standing next to the boosters. One seemed to be missing though.
“My theory is that somebody, or something managed to destroy one of the boosters.”
“I bet it was one of the robots of Eggman.”
“It probably was.”
The three walked back to Sonic’s limp body, and sat down. They waited patiently, hour upon hour, Sonic wouldn’t wake up.
“Tails check his pulse.” Shadow said.
Tails nodded, and walked over to Sonic. He felt around his neck.
“No…No Sonic…please…”
Tails let go of Sonic’s neck. Tails burst into tears.
“N-No, S-So-o-o-onic!!!!!”
Sonic, the unstoppable blue blur, fastest hedgehog in the entire world, was pronounced dead. How was it possible? Sonic had defied death multiple times. It wasn’t even possible! Sonic was dead.
