Which is your favorite Star Wars Episode?

Well, I personally think they are all great so I myself don't have a favorite. Do you have a favorite?

actually episode IV is my favorite. The way it so seamlessly ties the prequels to the new trilogy when they had no idea what actually happened is fantastic. The look Alec Guiness gives when he hears his old name for the first time in 20years, all the looks in the hut with Luke. The looks Owen and Beru give each other....They had no idea what was the truth or story behind those looks and they so hit the mark. My list is probably way backwards from most will pick:

However, I MUST disclaim, I like the original episodes. The only SE that is borderline tolerable is ESB (least changes). Jabba is horrid in IV, and don't even get me started about the HORRID ruination of VI. Jabba's dancer scene, horrid!!! Enya over the Ewoks? even worse!!!! (Besides, I strangely like the Ewok Seseme Street song)

Episode III was terrible, mostly because of Hayden Christiansen. Of course, the script was also too hurried for his transformation to the Dark side, but I really felt let down.

Episode I is the least appreciated, mostly because of the JarJar haters. I like alot of this movie, even if some of it was a complete sidetrack on the part of Lucas. (Podraces come to mind)

i agree with Phenix. seriously, if you actually listen to the dialogue in Ep III its AWFUL! they've completely sidelined good acting and convincing dialogue to make way for special effects and battle scenes. my favourite? Ep IV all the way.

My rankings are pretty run of the mill I suppose. It should also be known that the animated Clone Wars shorts were far better than any live action endeavor in the past ten years. Seriously, Star Wars plus Samurai Jack is the best idea anyone has had in a long time.

I like III and V the most. II and IV the least. I like them all really. I hate when people complain about this and that. Everything is CGI now, it is overdone, but they wanted to experiment a lot with it.

How can you dislike IV! The acting is incredible by Sir Alec Guiness and the actor that played Owen. Keep in mind when they think about the past they had no clue what they were thinking about. They were probably told just think about something bad from the past.

It also has the most solid story telling.

I know the classics are and will always be the best(ep. IV-VI), but you have to respect all the computer animations and stuff in ep. III.

I found that acting weak. The worst in the whole series. I think it was because it was the first one and they were kinda like WTF.

No way. II and VI were the worst of the bunch. VI is painful to watch. The acting is bad, the fights are bad.

After the prequels, Jedi looks like a masterpiece. But my favourite is the original, A New Hope.

my favorite is III because it shows after years of frendship beetwen obi wan and anikan they were finaly forced against each other becase in IV luke inturupted the battle and this was just one on one

Yeah III was good, even with the overuse of CGI, but I'm okay with most of the CGI unlike many people. It really isn't that bad.

III for sure. besides, who cares about acting? it's a starwars movie! we don't go to those to watch the acting! we go for the battles, the over-the-top everything!

and I agree, i just watched II the other day, and ... it takes until the Jedi arrive in Geonosis to get good. (other than the scene between anakin and his mom...:( )

Yeah that's a good point. I hate people who over-obsess over acting, except in cases like IV where it just seemed weak. Although I'll have to re-watch that because I may see it differently this time.

IV weak!?! Iv was the best acted one of the bunch. Watch Sir Alec Guiness and the guy that played Owen. Look at the job they did acting when they had no clue what they actually happened even though they were supposed to be remembering. V was pretty good too, but i love IV for that reason.

To summarize, Anakin in Episode III was epic badassness, Episode VI, Leia in a bikini and Luke finally losing it and wailing on Vader, the space battle was awesome as hell.
