You know, I've heard a lot of people here talk about what goes on at UDE (sometimes it's not very nice) but it is often surprising to hear what you think life around the UDE offices is like.

So...what do you think we do all day, what do you think the office is like, what kinds of perks do you figure we get, what do we talk about, etc?

Maybe an interesting or entertaining answer will earn you a little something something from my cube.

When it comes to any cards/products besides Yu-gi-Oh! I don't know. But with Yu-Gi-Oh! you guys work on translations localization and most recently editing to upcoming sets. I assume there is some process involving working with the companies that make the Video Games and Shonen Jump when it comes to promotional cards

If I got anything right think any info on what our USA version of the next set is going to be like?

And just a question but will we know anything at all before the preview? Or do we have to wait until that comes around to find out?

I believe Upperdeck is like a slightly looser Wal-Mart Home Office. Probably a lot of cubicles, a lot of production meetings talking about new products coming out, packaging and shipping, I'm sure you guys do a lot of fun stuff and get perks of going to big events like superbowls and what not. I'm sure there is also many fun game type things that go on. But overall pretty serious business.

It's a wonderful place in which the ground is made of grass, the grass is made of lollies, with trees and pumpkins everywhere, of all sizes, all edible, and little orange men with green hair that work the land, there is also a large river that runs through it, in which is a huge ipe sucking up the liquid from the fountain, the liquid is brown, gives you a fuzzy feeling inside, looks exactly likes chocolate, tastes exactly like chocolate, even smells like chocolate, then down the river you get to all the rooms, where things are sorted, they are made, produced, packaged, designed, even tested. Oh what a wonderful place this is.

Just buy the season 1 DVD's, that's what I had to do. Same thing as "Scrubs", I never really got around to watching it while it was on TV, but now I love watching the re-runs.

Do you like get boxes of new sets when they come out? Or get anything from new sets for free? Like, even if you helped develop the set, do you get a complete 1/e set of it as a collectors item?

In your office as well, is your wall covered with 1/e cards, that have neevr been touched, in gem condition never to be opened, pure collectors items?

Great, I can't tell if she wants a serious answer or not.

tbh, I'd expect there's someone sitting there constantly asking KoJ questions.

For those of you who read Dilbert, I'd expect 90% of their time is spent in meetings. Unlike in Dilbert, those meetings might actually accomplish something.

Actually, I think that they work and play a little. The work they do goes to further the game for us people who love to play. The playing that they do is to test new ideas and have a little fun on the side. I do think that they work far more than most would realize. Making a TCG popular and keeping it at the top takes a lot of work and dedication. That is why they have so many people in the different UDE division of Upper Deck.

Here's my guess:

Salary and benefits (only of office workers, not executives): Somewhere between $20-50k/yr, depending on position and seniority, possibly medical/dental, maybe retirement benefits, likely discounts or credits on product

In other words, it's better than working at McDonald's, but it's not something you do for the money.

Hours: One leaves when the job is done. Even though you'd like to be there 9-5, 8-4, whatever it is, if something has to be done by a particular time, it must be done.

Physical environment: A mix of loose and tight. I expect there are cubicles and particular individual places for people to work, but considering the company is creative by default, I expect lots of open spaces with warmer scenery, particularly in R&D and other departments more skewed toward the entertainment aspect. I expect the financial departments and such to have a more cold, professional feel.

Worker interaction: I think the workers are generally laid back toward one another and everyone there's little in the way of office politics. I expect everyone is almost like a second family to one another and people aren't out to "get" the other. People will work together to get a task accomplished without a lot of headache. As an aside, I'm sure Pojo and other Internet communities are likely the butt of jokes occasionally.

I can't think of anything else, but this is my guess. >_>;

I think they have got a large building/complex (not personality ones) & that maybe there's a staff of about 1000 people, all ranging from "coffeeppls" or "gophers" right thought to senior management, who can hire & fire ppl.
They do stuff like duelist surveys (R&D), liase with Konami (Parent Co), Translate card text, effects etc..organise Events, Special Events, Judging & T.O'ing globally, host webpages & online things, manage production & distribution of the product (cards, sets, cards within sets etc), liase with international representatives of UDE, adjust the banlist sometimes according to our metagame, Organise T.O tests, Judge tests, etc..Have us all "categorised" by a number for their easy reference.lol
There's heaps of things you guys do & I doubt I have even come close to scratching the surface of it.
The downside is that y'all can't get to play at a competitive level & have to put up with whining duelists like us all the time.
The good side is that all those (above the gopher & the coffeeperson) knows what's gonna happen in the future, but are not allowed to say or publically announce it (unless they get special permission from management) or else they will get fired.
I don't think there are any special "perks" involved, other than those many large corporations get. I don't think UDE ppl get any special cards or anything.
(even denying the rumour that Mr Tewart has a Seal of Orichalcos).

This is what I personally think goes on there...but I also think there's much more to it.

I also just read Mengde's reply & agree with that too.

Have you ever seen that episode of CLERKS where they couldnt finish the episode, and the Korean animators finish it by showing what life is like over there? If you havent, its basically a giant rat whipping all of the cartoonists to work harder, like a sweat shop or one of those old viking ships...thats what I imagine the UDE office is like..."Giant Rat" whipping everyone to produce better ideas...with skulls under his feet...laughing at your misery...

God I've had a lot to drink tonight...

My assumptions would be that it is very much like any other office. Each department Functions unto itself with inter-departmental meetings every few days to make sure they are on the same page. The job structure is probably hierarchical. Starting with the normal interns/pages (tier 1) that do menial tasks for tier 4 or higher employees such as make coffee, deliver mail, refill printers, etc. Tier 2 employees are your typical Working person, who probably has a cubical located in the middle of the floor, surrounded by the offices of tier 3+ folks. The Tier 2, depending on their department do most of the grunt work such as locating venues, templating cards, getting any needed permits for events, etc. Tier 3 employees would, in my mind be the departmental managers, which may or may not have offices, based more so on available department space and the size of the department. These people probably oversee the tier 2 employees and verify that things are alright before they are passed to another department (such as venue information before its passed to IT to be posted on the website and to the Art department to have posters/advertisements made). This Tier, more then likely handles the inter-departmental meetings and then disseminates the information to the people in their department via email or word-of-mouth. Tier 4+ would be getting to the Corporate level and people who have a lot more to deal with then just the day-to-day operations. It would be these people that probably handle the communication between brands as well as the contacts between Konami and UDE itself.

As for the day-to-day work, it probably varies with some slow days and others that are pull-ones-hair-out insane. Depending on ones department I'd wager most of the day is spent in front of a computer or on the phone. Office chatter would probably vary from the typical Water-cooler talk (TV shows, sports games, etc) to what he/she is currently working on. Office gossip, will of course be there as well as its part of human nature. As for perks, depending on the department, travel (on the companies dollar) to various locations could be a very nice perk. Overall, however I think that card-based perks such as getting product early or hard to get promos more easily (for example video game promos) rarely happens, if at all. This would, in my opinion, be mainly due to the fact not everyone might play the game that they work on and due to the nature of the company there is no equivalent value for free product. Now in my opinion one of the greatest perks (for me) would be getting to work on a game that I enjoy playing and knowing that the work I do, the long hours, and sleepless nights help make children (as this is primarily a children's game) happier.

It depends on the brand(s) you're focusing on. Not everyone is up on every game we make, some people tend to specialize. If you work in a brand, though, you tend to know your stuff, although the people in R&D and OP are usually the most knowledgeable.

Yeah, I do, actually. Well, not me personally, but my family's the distributor of Oscar Meyer products in Ontario. The branding's different since it's Canada, but if you google "I wish I was a Grabher-Meyer wiener" you'll find that they're really popular up there.

You get free hot chocolate and herbal tea O.o

What other free stuff is there D:

Umm...
Microwave popcorn, packets of mustard and packets of mayonnaise (but never ketchup), regular tea, packets of Splenda©, and generic painkillers. And I think a decongestant. There used to be free hand sanitizer in a dispenser in the bathroom...that's pretty much it.

Dammit you beat me to it.

Basically, I assume UDE is casual up there most of the time, except right before releases etc. They spend their spare time between jousting matches flaunting their Seal of Orichalcos cards and arguing with Konami over the banned list.

I do have a question though: When it comes to name/picture changes that don't have to do with sexuality, religion or anything "offensive", why do you change them in the first place? Like the Gem Beasts, I'm pretty sure not many people would find the term "Gem Beast" offensive. So why the "Crystal" change? Was it the name of some company that didn't want it's name used or what? Stupidity.

Well.

Surely, with an answer as succinct and poignant as that one, yours must be a superior intellect. Regretably, unlike yourself, most of our primitive minds can not seem to free themselves of certain useless and base trappings, like politeness and decency.

At any rate, we, plebeian minds, await with giddy anticipation for the next tiny morsel of your brilliance.

Yeah, I've seen plenty of UDE bashing around these boards. But I don't think the insults are generally directed at the entire company as much as they are meant for The Man.

Yes.

Every major company has one. He's the fat cat that sits at the very top of the food chain. Rich, Heartless, and guided solely by greed. All he ever seems to do is count his money, and think up ways to screw the little guy to get more. He's the one that made Cyber Dragon so hard to pull from the Duelist Packs. He's also responsible for changing the rarities in the sets, and not reprinting the specific cards that you want.

Damn The Man. (Save the Empire)

-----

But seriously, every 'bad' decision that UDE makes can pretty much always be traced back to: A company wanting to make a profit.

Which is what any company worth its salt in a capitalistic society should be doing.

In fact, it seems like half the time, UDE is working to rectify some cooky mistake made by Konami.

------

Anyway, I suspect the daily grind at UDE is nothing out of the ordinary. Overworked, Underpaid. Just like everywhere else. But, every once in a while, you get to do something really cool.

fanlations. Gem and Crystal aren't far off, except that Gem was a literal translation from the japanese card posted online and not the official name. They didn't change anything with the name for any reason, they just had a different translation. We do have tournaments sometimes.

I don't really know why we don't get free cards. O-o Nope, no discount.

I don't really ever bug Konami though, that's someone else's job.

It wouldn't be fair, since we could have advance knowledge of the cards, etc. Or allegations of "its rigged so the UDE guy could win" might come up.

Really though it's to keep Ian Estrin from crushing the dueling world singlehandedly.

One last question. Why don't UDE employees get to play in official tournaments?

The same reason when companies like mcdonalds have those 1,000,000 monopoly sweepstakes, there's potential for a specific group etc to have an unfair advantage, or for other parties to assume such. If UDE were to play in events, would they be allowed to use company playtest cards, or perhaps we can assume they get special access to crush card virus and gold sarcophagus, or have authority to run special unreleased cards like seal of orichalcos?

I mean, I don't think many of you want to put your soul on the line during a shonen jump, do you? :D

What flavored and brand waffles?

I go Eggo Apple Cinnamon

I made waffles from Kodiak Cakes mix. It's a whole wheat honey mix that's really delicious, and it comes in this awesome rustic packaging that lets you know "these ain't yo daddy's waffles" and other progressive, macho slogans that I've made up in honor of that badass bear on the box.

Check it out: http://www.kodiakcakes.com/

Regular office, but cooler than most office work places because you get paid to work with card games. Either way, someone from UDE should give us a tour ;)

As for discussions, i'm guessing something along the lines of the game during meetings, though i'm sure there's some interesting conversations all throughout the day like anywhere else. =P

EDIT: perhaps not far off from wizard's?

Hmm...I can't think of something witty to say to that. So many opnions of UDE are going to change though. This could be groundbreaking. A reason for people NOT to be pissed at UDE. You have my thanks.
Cystal sounds better than gem, I like that change.
Well I don't. It's like saying "Processed and solidified dairy product" over "Cheese". Crystal<Gem. Processed and solidified dairy product<Cheese
fanlations. Gem and Crystal aren't far off, except that Gem was a literal translation from the japanese card posted online and not the official name. They didn't change anything with the name for any reason, they just had a different translation. Infact, probably someone from Konami said it's meant to be translated as Crystal hence the specific name.

Well here's a simple answer. These are "FAN"tilations right? Well since I'm "FAN" of the GEM Beasts they should change it back. After all, it;s just a "FAN"tilation, right?

They had a real dojo. Sort of a mid-to-low-ceilinged gym with padded floors, where employees could go to work out or spar. WotC in the early days, before they were purchased by Hasbro, was very employee-centric, and employees all owned stock. They had a nice reflecting pool outside too, but UDE's decorative pool has them beat, on account of the waterfowl that inhabits the pool.

The waterfowl are aptly titled Upper Ducks.

I imagine it is probably pretty similar to my own office environment. You are broken up into divisions based on job description, and you are probably pretty laid back at work. Of course, there is a lot that needs to get done, but that doesn't stop you from making the best of the time you spend at work. I'd wager that each department is pretty closely knit and there isn't really too much drama, but on the flip side you probably don't deal with other departments very much and don't really know most of the people outside of your own team nearly as well.

As a Specialist Program Manager, I expect you probably spend a lot of time working with a team to develop the programs that UDE runs to promote the products that they offer, though I don't know if you are specifically Yugioh, or if you work with other product as well. You're probably given info from R&D on a "need to know" basis, because that information doesn't have too much of an effect on your work, other than what products you'll be promoting in the programs you manage.

Your dress code is probably business casual, and I'm sure you were told to "dress for the job you want" when you first started there. I'd also guess since the place is more than likely a second home. Due to the amount of time you're there, that there is likely a small gym and a cafe somewhere in the building. Do you guys lease/own the whole building or are you only on certain floors? My company owned the first office I was in (a six story "tower of doom" with horribly slow elevators), and it isn't as nice as the one that I was transferred to when I was promoted, which the company only leases 2.5 floors out of 4.

Does your office have a quiet room/comfort zone? If not, I'd talk to someone about making one. It's a great place to chill on break. In my building, our "comfort zone" is a very dark room with a TV set, big squishy recliner couches, a small fish tank, and a bookshelf with donated books. Very relaxing when you're frustrated and need to relax on break. Especially for your employees that are front-line, customer facing reps.

Sorry for the length of the post. I also wanted to compliment you on your artwork, I think it is fantastic. I've never made a playmat, but you've inspired me to with your excellent work :0)

8:30-9:00 AM: UDE employees stagger into work after raiding Molten Core until 4am.

9:00-9:10 AM: Falsify timeclock logs to show that they got in at 8:00 AM

9:10-10:00 AM: Delete all emails with the subject lines "Why isn't there an SJC in my city", "Why are there so many secret rares", and "Julia, will U marry me"

10:00-10:30 AM: Kevin Tewart has conference call with Konami. Other UDE employees listen outside his door, hoping to learn some new Japanese swear words

10:30-11:30 AM: R&D tests out a new Ultimate Rare that emits a small electomagnetic pulse that will short out digital scales. All it does is demagnetize their credit cards.

11:30 AM: R&D raids Customer Service; beats them up for their lunch money.

11:45 AM-1:00 PM: Jason Grabher-Meyer finishes writing a week's worth of Metagame articles, including the ones under his aliases of "Curtis Schultz", "Jerome McHale", and "Jason Grabher-Meyer".

1:30 PM: Ian Estrin takes a relaxing afternoon nap on a huge pile of GLAS secret rares.

2:00 PM: UDE loses a game of basketball to the Upper Deck sports division guys, mainly due to the 80 points put up by Michael Jordan, who was just there autographing some cards.

3:00-4:00 PM: Try to get some work done, but keep getting distracted by the Warcraft guys, who are having a money fight in their part of the office.

4:30 PM: Using a cloak carefully crafted from the shiny side of booster pack wrappers, Julia tries to sneak out of the office early without triggering the heat sensor, laser grid, or cyborg hoverbots.

Wow...this thread seem to be very popular. Is it because there's a UDE rep? What if it was a newbie like me that start this thread? I wonder if it'll get popular? We'll never know.

Anyhow.........since Julia ask. Here's my response.

The Tour:

1. Before you enter UDE building, you will notice that the front of the building is mostly glass window and a couple of story high.
2. Once you're in, you'll see lots and lots of large, cardboard, jumbo poster of Yugioh, WOW, VS, Marvel, and Sports.
3. you walk around and you'll see lots of office, mostly cubicles. these cubicles are decorated with more Yugioh, WOW, VS and sports card/posters/collectible items/etc. Everyone work in a crowded office with lots of the above stuff lying around.

The People:

The creative/test employee: they just play cards all day, writing down conflict and questions that might arrives. $14/hr

The customer rep: answers phone, has tons of yugioh, Vs, Wow and other sports card/items/toy lying around their computer. $12/hr

designers: design and work with the creative team to create and research whatever they need to get done. $18/hr

Julia and Jeff: Do whatever their job title say. $40,000/yr

Kevin: sends complaints to Konami. make $60,000/yr

Dan: backs up Kevin and everyone above. $50,000/yr

Everyone is nice and friendly. They all have a computer in front of them and always browsing forum to see what the Yugioh committee are gossiping about.

Well, compare everything Julia said to what happens in a local branch office (as opposed to Head Office):

All I do is look at spreadsheets all day, broken up by the occasional marketing meetings or phone call. Not much game playing (or what I like to call brand familiarisation) goes on here, especially when I'm the only TCG player in the office...

Now can you imagination the down to earth feeling I got when I started my job?

Oh and the promo items (such as playmats)? Only when there are definite spares, which there are usually none for us as we run a fairly lean ship here
(Though I am a proud owner of a UDE solar bag...). I just hope is that we get our employee promo cards soon to make it all feel better...

OP here only really comes alive during events: it's like pent-up energy all released at once.

Oh, and I still love my job besides all this....

Can you tell us what your general working activites are during starting and finishing hours?

From entering the office

Staff communication
After hours

Just to have an idea of how a reguler working day goes for you guys.

Also can I ask how many months ahead of planning you are with YGO? I don't wish to know product releases but how far ahead you plan and work on future products and events, is it already planned out quartley yearly? Are you working on summer plans, holiday plans? Events for the rest of the year? Or is this something only Kevin knows?

I'm not really a fan of the Office, at least not the NBC Office. I imagine UDE to be a bit like Dilbert, or any other office. Ya know spending half the time pretending to work, the most important decision being whether to burn time on solitiare or mindsweeper, getting into the habit of deleting all your files and formating your hard drive whenever you see your boss approaching. What I want to know is how entertaining your lunch room is.

Coming from a "kid".

Its a magicial land, with Beaver Warriors and Giant Rats running around every where. Everyone's Christmas bonus was a Baby Dragon. The tree's outside are Gigaplants, and the real UDE HQ...Well its in a Forest. Julia is the "model" for Alexis and Tea. Then, shortly after UDE messes up Chaos Neos, they go to a meeting with Little Kuriboh, who is really Julia's father. Then UDE goes into hiding, so they can make the super-special-awesome TCG cards.

And thats just Monday.

Tuesday, its more calm. They all sit around playing Yugioh, then VS. Then VSgioh (a new game UDE is working on).

Wen. Well its when they all sit down (on Mats) and talk about Yugioh today.

Thursday, they all switch jobs for the day. Julia gets tired and takes a nap, but then gets kidnapped by Green Baboon. But, Jason comes by and throws a Blast Sphere on Baboon, sparing Julia's life.

I'm thinking it depends on which department that you work in there. In some cases the day maybe getting a new set of VS. or WoW before it is even decided to be made and see if a card is to good or if there is a combo that will be too amazing to be shipped out. Another department could simply be type type type, ok, hey phil, type type type, and finally the department that is "alright here is the plan guys, we bust down the door, the fake card printer is in the left hand corner of the room, we shout everybody down, then we have stopped another fake card printing organization, anyone disagree. Ok. Break team!"
I mean thats just a normal, I am sure an exciting one would involve fires or somthing and people wanting to just yell at the guys that are angry because of it. :D

Let's see... Kevin rises from his coffin and begins to drain the lifeblood of a couple goats before he floats off to a computer and stares lifelessly at it.

Jeff starts an online petition to get players more Konami cards before he realizes that online petitions don't do ****.

As for you, Julia, I'd have to say that after riding into the office on a golden stallion, your coworkers customarily bow to you before you proceed to spy on UDE meetings and keep those secrets to yourself.

In all seriousness, it's probably like any other business. Come to work, do your job, eat lunch, and screw around.

This (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=mtgcom/daily/mr240) is a tour of the new Wizards of the Coast office =]

It'd be awesome if you could do one for Upper Deck!

We already did one a couple of years ago.

Do you know what would be an interesting addition to your break room?

The game "Rock Band."

Doing that might cause Organized Play to cease to exist. If you're fine with having no more Yugi Nationals, Gen Con or Sneak Previews ever, then I'll recommend it.

Additional Comment:

That's only the Yu-Gi-Oh! Section of our office. The WoW TCG section is exactly like

and the Vs. System section of the office looks like:

UDE is like the opening theme song for a Saturday morning cartoon that distributes little pieces of cardboard, that sell for high prices on eBay.

UDE is exactly like that...sort of.

Yep.

Yep. Dan's been the R&D lead for Yu-Gi-Oh! for a while, now.

I'll let him know that he and his sarcasm are missed, though.

Is it like:

Jeff to Kevin: "I know I keep asking this, but could you explain how this card works again?"
Kevin to Jeff: "Well, an effect that you could never comprehend conflicts with an effect that you'd never understand".
Jeff: "Oh" -turns on heels and walks out

Well we can safely assume that He's not the latter, due to a comment Julia made in another thread about Yubel.

Yubel gives me bad dreams. ._.

Because if He was Yubel, wouldn't that mean Mr. Tewart gives Julia Bad dreams?

Sitting around drinking beer, eating donuts and pizza trying to watch the desolate creation of their own go forth and take over the world as millions of children (and grownups) take little pieces of cardboard into rooms and face other people to try to see who the ancient pharaoh was 4 mellinium ago.

jk, they probably work hard to get us the promos and decks and other things we want to make the game we all know and love be better.

I bet UDE Office is like the Pixar office of TCG makers. Lots of large space to meet, paperplane competitions, aquariums, lots and LOTS of posters, cardboard cut outs, and tons of leftovers from games that didn't sell XD Lots of Kuriboh too.

Lots of meetings and serious work too. I can see lots of phone calls.

Heated video-conference conversations with Konami of Japan that play out like something out of Phoenix Wright XD

Kevin: OBJECTION!!!

Water cooler conversation are about future sets and complaining behing Konami's back XD

When monotony sets in Kevin busts out his infamous Gyroid impersonation and 'flies' around the office much to the delight of everybody.

Then its back to work. If you don't work the Kuribohs try to eat you.

-Jason

I haven't seen the Upper Duck in months :(

Either:
a) You don't get enough of this game already at work or
b) You are being payed overtime to talk to us. :p

Whichever the case, it's refreshing to put a more "humouristic" & "personal" spin on this topic.
I'll also keenly await for others at UDE to get "motivated" *cough*
Thx Julia. =)

I'm pretty sure you can download "Yu-Gi-Oh! Warriors - Theme Song" from XBox Live.

Throw in a little cosplay action with it.

C'mon, tell me that wouldn't be fun?

Plus, if you get sick of "Yu-Gi-Oh! Warriors." You can always jam out to "Run to the Hills" by Iron Maiden. You wouldn't even have to change your costume...BONUS!

A++!!!! Bravo! Magnifico! What a Masterpiece!

All it needs is a fitting background. Something to bring out the fierce look in its eyes, and at the same time something that truly says "Light and Darkness Dragon".

Pancakes? MORE LIKE MANCAKES!

Then I covered them in maple syrup, but ran out, so I topped them with Haagen Daazs Hawaiian Lehua Honey ice cream.

Everything is Aunt Jemima, Pillsburry, and Eggos these days...

I am enjoying reading this thread:).

Now to add something to the thread even though I have not answered the first post.

OCG Phantom Darkness Booster Set:

1 Holographic Rare
5 Ultra Rares
9 Super Rares
18 Rares
48 Commons

What I hope is the TCG set's Rarity Line-Up:

TCG Phantom Darkness Booster Set:

Changes for the set:

10 TCG Cards
10 OCG Cards

1 Ghost Rare
10 Secret Rares (the OCG Cards)
?? Ultimate Rares
10 Ultra Rares (5 TCG Cards)
12 Super Rares (3 TCG Cards)
20 Rares (2 TCG Cards)
48 Commons

I hope that makes sense.

I wonder if Dark Grepher is going to be a Rare just like the one for the Sneak or is he an Ultra or a Super?

I imagine it is probably pretty similar to my own office environment. You are broken up into divisions based on job description, and you are probably pretty laid back at work. Of course, there is a lot that needs to get done, but that doesn't stop you from making the best of the time you spend at work. I'd wager that each department is pretty closely knit and there isn't really too much drama, but on the flip side you probably don't deal with other departments very much and don't really know most of the people outside of your own team nearly as well.

It depends really, I work with a lot of different people since the volunteer program also involves marketing, brand, PR, etc. Plus, I work with all the brands, not just YGO, since the volunteers promote all of them.

Pretty much!

My company owned the first office I was in (a six story "tower of doom" with horribly slow elevators), and it isn't as nice as the one that I was transferred to when I was promoted, which the company only leases 2.5 floors out of 4.)

We get casual Fridays, where we get to display our collections of gaming T-shirts. There's one Upper Deck building that holds all of us.

Wow, if there is no one's told me where it is yet...Kevin's got a lot of cuddly Kurbiohs in his office, though.

Sorry for the length of the post. I also wanted to compliment you on your artwork, I think it is fantastic. I've never made a playmat, but you've inspired me to with your excellent work :0)

Thanks!

Additional Comment:

I bet half of your workforce moans about not being allowed play in sanctioned events..;)

Some people miss it, others don't really mind that much.

Oi that playmat is awesome oO

UDE should start a line of artistic playmats, all designed by you off course XD or at least mostly by you. I'd buy one of those (or one with Plasma or Cranium Fish, my new favs) if it was this cool.

Don't underestimate Kevin's Legion of Kuriboh!! They'll take over the world one day. Just wait until we get Multiply in English XD (maybe Premium Pack 2?).

Yeah, we get spares of things. You've always got to be on the spot when spares are discovered.

I look at spreadsheets sometimes, I make a lot of them too. Excel... [shakes fist]

You don't have your employee cards yet? Hope you get them soon!

Employee cards?

I worked office jobs before so I know how it is(made LOTS of pointless spreadsheets too), though I can't help but think you guys probably got more interesting colleagues than I did XD. Geeks can be much better conversationalist than 'normies' .:p

Although accountants can be surprisingly fun to hang around with.
