If you had to choose which element you controlled which one would it be?

it is very hard to say but i've lately become a huge fan of fire bending but air and water are close seconds.

there's 2 problems
1. there isn't any specifics. eg. if earth bending controls stuff like gold.
2. Logic. could air really carry a person?

I personally like Water. During a full moon you could control people, come on whats not to love.

IF earth could also control other elements (like gold ect.)
i would pick earth bending... enless air bending could actually lift you off the ground... enless if water bending effects water in people.

so depending on the situation i would pick a certain one

Logically, the amount of air pressure needed to lift a human off of the ground due to air bending would tear all the flesh from the bones. It would need an estimated equiv. of a jet engine. As an Earth Bender, you should, in theory, beable to control all fundamental basic elements of the earth. Calicium, Magnesium, Sulfur etc etc. Gold, Diamond and such would be "bendable". If Water bending could control the water in someone's body, you technically could drain all of the water from the victims body and they would die from extreme dehydration. No need to "take control" of them.

So, is seems as if Earthbending has the most practical use.

i would say Water Bending - since Katara was able to blood bend i would say that as its a dangerous element to control and can be potentially dangerous to ones opponent although earth bending which includes metal bending would be my 2nd choice..
