OK, I'm still a newbie on the board, so, I get a few "dumb" questions... ;) WHERE are players putting the special condition markers on the figures? The hole/circle is kinda small, the rulebook didn't say anything specific... Are you spinning the figure with the marker attached? Or do you take it off before-? I mean, granted, it's small/light, but, it could affect the spin, etc. Mebbe I'm overthinking this, I did study physics for 5 years... :P I checked the TFG site and didn't really come up with anything unless I just grossly overlooked something... Oh, and since I'm here anyhoo, I'll share a storage tip: I put my special conditions markers in a ziploc style bag--the small ones I get when I buy a 100 sleeve pack of penny sleeves. They are bigger than the bead bags I found at a craft store but smaller than a sandwich bag. They also work great to store the trainer cards, which BTW, I put into the penny sleeves just like my TCG. We started using the status markers and tried to put them on legs or as close to the base as possible. That seems to work best, but they just cause more problems than solutions. They fly off, make spinning harder, etc. I havent found they alter a spin much. Now we just dont use them. since there are only 2 effects right now and only 12 pokemon to worry about it is easy to remember. Maybe with the added 2 effects we might have to think about using them again, but I think most people and kids can remember. My kids who play are 6 and 4 and they have no problem remembering who has what status. Another thing we came up with is stick the little thing on one of the open spots in the bench to remind us someone has that effect. That was our version after sticking them on pokemon. But after a while the kids just seem to remember. Mainly The best I can think of is just put them on each Pokemon the best you can. I also love those "snack bags" they work well for any card games you collect. I have used them for a while now for all my games.

Thanks for the info! I thought I was going crazy, that I'd missed something in the rulebook. I wonder if the international version had the same sort of markers... The markers did seem ungainly to me, hmm. Oh, yeah, the snack bags with the zip, great things. I've recycled many of the sleeve bags for game accessories storage. Oh, also, for storing my figures, here's what I did--I sliced the bubbles off the backer card with a utility knife and scissors and then I piled the bubbles with figures into Rubbermaid storage boxes. I don't know how to protect the figures while keeping them compact, they took up a lot of room before I opened them... I keep hearing about/seeing broken figures, yikes. I think I found a safe glue for repairs, the package said it works on all plastics, etc. I wouldn't recommend this (storage method) for kids (the bubbles), as the edges are kinda sharp (after you slice 'em)... I hope I don't get a "paper" cut! :O L.
