Team_Dark Battle Thread XVII!

Hello everyone. I was inspired to start my own team from other people starting teams, namely Wizomyojin07 and his Team_Lite. This, unfortunately, was the only team i saw ACTIVELY looking for non-members to battle. They also boasted that they were a strong team and would give shinies away as prizes to those non-members that beat a member. I have decided to start this team planning to do something very similar. right now i have about 11 special egg move pokemon that i will give away to challengers of this team. The battles that will take place are simple, and the clauses that will be in effect are as follows:

~NO UBERS (that means ALL ubers, if you don't know who they are

~only ONE of your opponents pokemon can be put to sleep by one of your moves at a time. (self caused sleep does not affect this count)

~only ONE type of a pokemon can be used on a team. (so no 6 pikachu teams)

~you CAN NOT use a suicide attack if it is your last pokemon

~basically the standard rules

Now that i have all of the rules out of the way, I'll go over applications. I am taking applications now. I will need you to PM me with your list of pokemon, their moves, and what item will be attached. it should follow this example:

If I like what I see, I will ask you to battle me. After that battle, you will be asked to battle two of our four Team_Dark Elite members. After those battles are out of the way, we will talk over you and your play styles. if we like them and feel that you are good material, you are then an official Team_Dark member. once you are a member, make sure you report your wins and losses, and if the person you battled was on a team (and which team). Also, if you would like, the majority of us have TONS of egg move pokemon. if you are a member, we can give them out to you.

I have no policy about how many wins my members must have, but if i suspect you are slipping in your duties as a Team_Dark member i may ask you to have a "final battle". if you loose that "final battle" against either myself or another member, you will be asked to leave the team. The egg pokemon you will have recieved will be yours, and you are free to battle anyone on Team_Dark for more. you are also able to re-apply if you change up your team and think you are again worthy of the Team_Dark. We might also have some team battles. This means you might have to battle a member of another team, like Team_Lite. The winner of the Battle will recieve a prize from me.

Now for the Team_Dark Battler of the Week! starting SUNDAY and going to SATURDAY night the BotW gets as many battles in as they can. if they come up with a winning record, they will be getting a cool little EV trained pkmn from me (i'm going for stuff that works well). another thing i would like to stress, the week battler is going to get AS MANY BATTLES AS THEY CAN in a week trying to get a winning record (more wins than losses) and challenging every person/team they can!

Also, subs take 1/4 of your health and basically provides a shield with the amount of health used. Subs also prevent status effects and stat changes used by your opponent on your Pokemon. Sandstorm also boosts Rock type Pokemon's Sp.Def, so your Blissey couldn't touch my T-Tar.

i didn't know rock types had their sp. def. boosted >_> and I thought subs can only take one hit and then die lol I think I should use bronzong as my lead instead of Lucario, but Lucario's focus sash is rendered useless stealth rock or spikes later on -_-

Well, Me and Chris went over to Amys house yesterday when Tyler was there and we just were hanging out. Nothing really happened which bothered me because we were really close about 3 weeks ago during thanksgiving break and when school started again we werent able to hang out alot cause she has soccer and stuff. It seems to me that she doesnt like me as mich as she did which is really bothering me. I have been thinkng about it for a while now too. Chris told me he would ask her about it. The only reason I am reallr worried is because over the break if you would have saw us hanging out, you would have probably asked if we were going out because thats how it looked like and felt like to me but we werent going out. I think you know what I mean. I just really miss those times and wish it was like that again. I dont know what happend, but chris is a really good friend and he is going to try to find out what happned...

1) I don't have a preference. My real name gets butchered so often I've become immune to any name mistakes/changes. (Although everyone says I'm a grammar/spelling stickler.)

I understand the 0 IV thing, I'm saying the ENITRE TM box got wiped out except for like the first two TMs, and yet, when I checked the Pokemon through an IV battle it didn't give me some x/x/0/0/0/0 spread.

I remember on the AR help thread that Jiggy said something about his Riolu having that same issue...perhaps the same thing is happening here.

Example: My Heracross wiped out my whole TM pocket. The IV's turned out to be 22/0/13/31/31/31. Theoretically the pocket should've contained 22 TM01s, or 22 TM01s, 13 TM03s, etc. But for some reason it does not.

I think it is just poor programing on the code itself, not a glitch. There was probably a longer code that was possible of just deleting that TM for the 0 IV but would've been a little too complicated. At least it lets you know that the poke isn't very useful unless you are going for that 0 IV in spd for Gyro Ball / Trick Room

Not necessarily. In my example, I had NO TM's in the pocket. I should have had at least the 22 TM01s. It doesn't seem to follow a pattern, although at first I thought the same thing.

Or you could be like me and spawn lv 100 Arceus with the random poke modifier and use the OHKO code to level up my eggs, then use a berry to wipe the EVs that it gained from the one level and then find the IVs from there.

No no I don't use IV battles, the pokes gain levels from those battles and I just put in the stats from the ingame poke.

Hmm...with a 13 Attack IV it goes from a possible 2HKO on Blissey to a 3HKO with Cross Chop...and Focus Punch will still hurt like a ***** if you catch Blissey on the switch, but won't KO her and you'll practically have to switch because none of the other standard moves will even come close to finishing Blissey...however this is true even with perfect IVs...

Done or should I keep trying?

alright, revamped team matches rules/regulations:

from now on, we will count records against other teams when we set up an actual match (meaning at least 3 VS 3 members). if we win 2 and lose 1, that is an overall win, so it would increase our record (as a team) to 1-0.

And recently I've been noticing how useless my Gar is becoming. I think I'll do this:

Thunderbolt helps get rid of Skarmory so Electivire makes a great SkarBliss Counter.

If you run Sash you have to be careful about Hail/SS/SR/Spikes/etc. It's good to lead with them.

I know. I bred for Dratinis (not so good) Elekids, herracross (not so good) and Charmanders. I said I was bored when i bred it on smogon for some reason.

A good deal of my most commonly used Pokemon were not bred by me. Dusknoir, Donphan, Starmie (both), Forretress (same guy who bred the Riolu), all of my Gengars, and more were not originally mine or were breeding requests. I'd say less than half of my Pokemon were actually bred by me.
