I found this to be an annoying chapter to make, especially since the editor was gone for a few months. I'll post the next chapters as soon as I can.

The Millennium Items Return
Pegasus smirked and yelled to mass of people and the 2 duelists.

“Kaiba Seto has forfeited the duel! Such a close duel it was and now Yugi is the representative! Let’s hear it for our star Duelists!”

The crowd roared in cheers and jeers at the duel’s end. Some people from the crowd howled like wolves as others barked. Jonouchi covered his ears complaining about the noise the people made. Honda sighed and looked around confused. Anzu had gotten up before and made her way to the arena. She signaled to Jonouchi and Honda to get down to the arena.

Bakura slowly crept up behind Pegasus; his knife gleamed slightly as he stabbed at Pegasus. A Golden aura surrounded the silver-haired man as Bakura was thrown backwards by a mysterious force.
“What?” Bakura yelled.

Pegasus stood slowly and turned to Bakura with a smile. Bakura looked at Pegasus, shocked. Pegasus’s body shone golden and 7 gold items appeared upon him. Around Pegasus’ neck hung: the Millennium Puzzle the Millennium Necklace and the Millennium Ring. In his right hand, the Millennium Rod and wrapped by wire around his wrist was the Millennium Key. In his left hand Pegasus held the Millennium Scales. The items disolved into Pegasus as he smiled.

Bakura growled and stood up. Pegasus chuckled maniacally and took out a deck of cards. One of the guards threw a wristband similar to the one Kaiba and Yugi had their decks in to Bakura and Pegasus. Pegasus put his on.
“It is time to duel, Bakura Ryou!”

“So you want to duel? You’re about to join my deck of ghosts...” Bakura said putting his deck into the band.
“You’re aware of the consequences of losing this game?” Pegasus asked smiling.

The siding where Bakura and Pegasus were blew up. The mass of people in the area stared as Bakura and Pegasus began the duel. Screams and laughter were heard in the background as Bakura jumped from the siding to the field and Pegasus flew down to the field at the same time.

“I’m aware of everything…Pegasus! Now I’ll start this…” Bakura muttered.

“DUEL!” Pegasus and Bakura yelled, and drew 5 cards.

Kaiba and Yugi stared at the two. They ran from the field to the side where Anzu, Jonouchi and Honda were waiting for them.
“What’s going on here?” Kaiba asked the trio.

Anzu shook her head and Jonouchi shrugged. Honda seemed interested in the duel.
“Hey look, Bakura is going first!”

Bakura drew his first and set 2 cards facedown. “I summon Headless Knight!”

Groaning arose from the grounds as an armored hand punched through the surface of earth and pushed a form up from the ground. The bronze, headless knight drew his sword and pointed it at Pegasus, then threatened to chop his head off.

“I’ll end my turn”

“Very well then, draw!” Pegasus drew his card and smirked. He then laughed maniacally and threw a card out.

"Behold the ultimate power of.... TOON WORLD!!!" Pegasus yelled.

Bakura grunted at him angrily. The Card spun around and morphed into a book colored green and purple with cartoon figures drawn all over it. The Book opened and a strange Demon-like Creature arose from the book. Its blue skeletal form and horns were shrouded by its maniacal manner.

"Toon Summoned Skull, Arise and destroy!" Pegasus yelled.

The Skull laughed like a psychopath. It made gestures of idiocy at Bakura’s knight and slammed the ground. Electricity traveled amongst the ground and shocked Bakura and his Knight.

B-2950
P-4000
Bakura screamed in pain and fell backwards from the force of electricity. He slowly got up and flipped up his facedown card: Darkness Revenge.

The Knight who lay lifelessly on the ground, stood up slowly as his sword increased in size. The Knight held its massive sword over its shoulder trying to keep it up.
2950/1700

Bakura drew his card and threw it forward, “Hell Blast! This card will send 5 cards off both of our decks to the Graveyard.”

Pegasus smirked and threw 5 cards down. Bakura threw 5 cards down.

"Headless Knight, Ghastly Sword!"

The Knight slowly raised his sword and jumped at the Toon Demon. The Toon looked at the Knight's sword and panicked. The Toon jumped away from the knight as it slashed, laughing at him.

"Unfair…" Bakura muttered. He put a card facedown on the field. "Ending turn."

Pegasus chuckled and drew a card. In a mocking voice he declared, "Silly Rabbit…My Cartoons are immortal! But it seems your Ghosts aren't! Go my Toon Ghost Vacuum!"

Toon Ghost Vacuum – 1500/1500/ Discard 2 cards from your hand to destroy all fiend monsters on your opponent’s side of the field.

Bakura's eyes widened as the vacuum jumped from the Book and sucked up the knight. The knight growled and tried to hang on but was too weak to hang on. Bakura watched his knight get sucked in and yelled, "Damn you, Pegasus! I won't allow you to kill my ghosts without paying a price!"

"Reverse Card Open! Apocalypse of the Evil God! It wipes the field of magic and traps!"

Pegasus growled, the winds gusted around the area. They swirled around faster and faster, spinning in a circle and soon into a tornado. The toon monsters were sucked into the spinning cyclone and a red, spiney hand grabbed the Cartoons. A big mouth opened, green saliva dripping slowly from its formless embodiment. The red hand threw the toon monsters and the book into the mouth.

"No!!! How could you? My precious cartoons…" Pegasus sobbed.

Bakura glared at Pegasus, "Get up…I know those weren't your strongest monsters…"

Pegasus' sobs slowly turned into laughter as he straightened up. The Millennium Items glowed red on his body and he chose a card.

“Ten-Thousand Years! It allows me to choose 10 magic cards from my deck to add to my hand but I must Remove 10 cards from the game!” Pegasus smirked.

Bakura didn’t seem phased by the play. Pegasus removed his cards in the graveyard and removed his hand from play. He then chose 10 cards from his deck and put them in his hand.

“How lucky of me…I didn’t lose any of them…” Pegasus chuckled. “I end my turn.”

Bakura drew a card from his deck. He looked at it and threw it forward.

“Using the Contract with Dark Master, I can remove 2 cards from my hand to summon Dark Master Zorc!”

He dropped 3 cards to the ground and a dark shadow arose from the ground. The shadow opened a mouth and cackled with darkness. The arena filled with the musty stench of death and the shadowy form revealed itself to all. The dark skinned demon flapped its cape-like wings and flew into the air.

“I shall bring everlasting pain to you, Pegasus…” The demonic creature stated.

Bakura’s eyes widened as he yelled to his partner in crime, “Attack!”

Zorc dropped from the sky and rushed at Pegasus. The Silver haired man’s smile changed to a frown. The Muscled Demon punched Pegasus and the man spun out. The ground collapsed beneath Pegasus and he fell into a pit of fire.

Pegasus crawled out of the hole, burnt and growled. “Ok boy…you’ve sealed your fate! I was going to spare you, but now you’ve really pissed me off…First you kill my Cartoons…now you dare to punch me with such a thing…oh now you’ve done it!”

Pegasus’ 7 Items glew red with anger as he drew his card.

“I activate, Sacrifice of 99…This card will Do 1000 damage for every card with the word “Millennium in their names! Remember this, Thief King? This is what destroyed your village!”

Bakura closed his eyes then opened them. He could remember the screams, the blood, and the death…His expression shifted to anger.
“Millennium Puzzle, Millennium Ring, Millennium Necklace, Millennium Rod, Millennium Key, Millennium Scales, Millennium Eye! All 7 are in my hand, and now the effect begins!” Pegasus cackled.

The area flashed gold. The millennium items flew off of Pegasus and floated around Bakura. Hieratic chants filled the room and the items flashed red. The arena started to rumble and pieces of it fell from the ceiling. Blood dripped from the remains of the ceiling and seemed to cover the floor with its redness. Bakura stared down at the blood, and held his head. Soon the symbol of the Millennium items, the Udjat, appeared on Bakura’s head and blood dripped from it as though he were cut there. Bakura screamed in pain.

“What’s wrong, Bakura Ryou? Cannot take this pain?” Pegasus asked mockingly.

The millennium items flew back to Pegasus and disappeared on his body. Bakura fell to the floor with his eyes open. He could not see anything and was deaf to the surroundings.

He muttered, “Yugi…”

Yugi stared at his friend. The blood had not gone away after the duel like it had during Yugi and Kaiba’s duel. Yugi rushed to his friend and shook him, trying to wake him up. Nothing…

“Bakura!” Yugi cried out.

Kaiba called in Medics immediately as everyone looked on. Anzu dropped to the floor and started crying while Honda looked around for Pegasus. Jonouchi tried to comfort Yugi, best he could. A Figure cloaked in darkness walked to the group.

“You are Yugi Mutou?” the tall, tan-skinned man, wearing black robes and a black turban, asked the young boy.
Yugi turned and looked up at the man, “I’m him…”
“Yugi Mutou, I am here to welcome you to the power of Shadows. During the duel…you blacked-out, am I correct?”
“Yes…I blacked out and when I came to, Kaiba had just about won the duel. But how did you know that?” Yugi asked, tears in eyes.
“My knowledge of that is unimportant. Yugi Mutou is a man dueling as a representative in the tournament, just as others are. A battle from long ago shall repeat itself.”

Everyone seemed confused by the shadowy man. This man threw something to Yugi that looked like a gold pendant. He then turned and walked away.

“What is this? Who are you?” Yugi yelled to the man. The man continued walking and repeated words.
“The Darkness is to Light as Shadows are to Living.”

Yugi looked down at the gold pendant. The center contained the Udjat Eye but it was different. The eye was silver and had an evil look to it. Yugi could hear the whisper of a voice come from it. "...Partner..." it rang, over and over.

"What is going on..." Yugi said.

He felt a familiar prescence in that pendant. A friendly one but at the same time another with a darker prescence.
