Ok so it has happened to all of us at least once we control the duel at the start and then the opponent manages to pull something out of their hat and suddenly your the one with 1000 or less LP left, and you pray for a miracle to help you win and suddenly one card that has been in your hand since the start helps you claim the game. Heres my recent comeback.

My Lifepoints 1000

Opponents Field: Raiza, Breaker and a Facedown Magician Of Faith as well as 2 facedown cards.
My Field: Treeborn Frog

My hand: Shield Crush, Heavy Storm, White Horned Dragon, Armed Dragon LV5 and Luster Dragon.

My Draw and I topdeck Premature Burial, I activate heavy Storm to destroy my opponents 2 facedowns which were Bottomless Trap Hole and Sakuretsu Armor. I activate Premature Burial to bring my King Dragun back from the grave. with his effect I special Summon White Horned Dragon and tribute Treeborn Frog for Armed Dragon LV5 activate White Horn's effect to remove 5 spells of my opponents from play to make him 3700 activate LV5s effect discarding Luster Dragon to destroy Breaker. Activate Shield Crush to destroy Magician Of Faith, White Horned Dragon runs over Raiza, and King Dragun and Armed Dragon Attack directly for game.

his turn he draws ladd tributes his 2 monsters for ladd. i chain my fd forced back bounce him back to his hand. my turn and 1 min left in round im sweating bullets thinking im going to lose cuz he has more lp then me. selfishly i say a little prayfor a good card close my eyes draw top deck right in to one of my favorite monarchs Thestalos the firestorm monarch. i tribute marshmallon summon him use his effect discard ladd for 800 pts of burn damage atk directly for game. round ends and i came out with a huge Win

I'm playtesting my new deck against a zombie swarm (with an Il bllud or 2 and a set of Zombie Masters) opp's about to set up a nice little field with turtle when I draw a DDV, I summon Giant Orc, attack his Reaper he just hit me with, set DDV, and end.

Opp draws, E-Cons my Giant Orc to atk, I ask, "ram turtle?" opp smiles and shows me turtle in his hand, then tries to MST my DDV, I flip it, and the smile on their face drops.

A few turns later, they're back in the game, and are about to swarm for the win, they're beaming at me once again, as they set a f/d, at the end phase I tornado it, and it turns out to be their own Tornado, I draw and smile back at them, I tribute off my Reaper for Vanity's Fiend, they lost soon after :D

All in all, a fun duel, especially since I won :)

There's this one joker I play with who always has a knack for saving his butt at the last minute. I attack an empty field for game, he drops Kuriboh. I activate that Venom Burn card for the win, he'll show you a random Poison of the Old Man. I try to summon Golem through Castle for game, his only set then is a Dust. He doesn't play an overly defensive deck, he just always pulls whatever random card that he says he was just testing to stop your beating him, then take you out next turn. It's both very amusing and very frustrating. I swear the guy must be Yugi.

Was up against this one deck Saturday (Can't remember the theme). I was at like 1200 life points. I had Demise and a f/d Marshmallon. She has like 4000 or so life points and no monsters. She sets 2 M/T's and ends turn. I draw...Heavy Storm! I activate it, summon Insect Knight and attack for game.

I love Heavy Storm. :)

Casual duel with my friend I'm at 200 lp he's at 5600 my field nothing and top decking....his field DMoC,BLSEOTB,Dark paladin,and skilled dark....I draw pray and set 1 card in Def. He draws stares at me for a second...and attacks my Face down with BLS it was Cyber Jar!!!! We draw he has no monsters I had skilled dark...and obnoxious celtic guard he sets one back row and ends.... I draw MST backrow and remove one light and dark for my BLS FTW!

Why didn't your opponent just use Secret Barrel during your Standby? It would've been exactly 1000 damage.

Local tourney a bunch of people decided to run character decks that day so I chose Yugi battle city arch. I was playing a guy using a jaden deck he had aqua dolphin,clayman,avian,and burstinatrix out in attack mode...i was at 1300 lp he was at 4100 he passes and he's like "next turn you lose" then I gave a ridiculous heart of the cards speech...then said In a atem voice "Your fate is sealed. Now I draw THIS!!!" I drew emblem of dragon destroyer and had Dark magician,Diffusion wave motion,and poly in hand I summoned Dark Paladin...and said "And now I activate DIFFUSION WAVE MOTION!!!!!" "NOW HERES A MESSAGE FROM THE REAL JODELL SPATES,I DONT LOSE!!!!!" then I threw the wave-motion at him.Needless to say that victory was of some TV show epicness

Here's one. I had 100 life points left, I had Chthonian Emperor Dragon, and 2
F/D cards. My opponent was at 1000, Had Solar Flare Dragon and Gravity Bind. I have Grand Mole and Double Summon in my hand, I'm thinking,"No way can I beat this dude, 1 more turn and I'm dead." So, I draw, and I topdeck into a ...... SANGAN! I summon Grand Mole, activate Double Summon, then summon Sangan, bounce back his solar Flare, then attack with Sangan for game. It was the best victory I ever had. And the funniest.

Simple problem, right? My friend has a set offerings to the doomed on his field...I saw it through a ccv hand check, and it was waiting for me on the field as soon as I chimeratech'ed him... so I'm basically screwed and he's laughing his head off claiming that he's indestructible and how "machines fail in comparison to dragons"...he was running dragon swarm, I was running cyberdark....

anyway, I topdeck a MST, destroy his f/d offerings get an 8000 atk chimeratech and blew away his field for game...after I left he apparently broke down in a swearing fit, asking our friends (who were watching our game) how it was possible I pulled that off:)

On main phase 1 i had dark hole and heavy lol cleared the field then played monster reborn to get back gainer. then played dark calling had malicious edge and grand mole in my grave so i removed them. Summoned Dark Gaia 3500 attack used gainer's effect and attacted 2 times for the win with dark gaia.
Guy was mad and called me a noobie.......

Armed with Gadgets against a pseudo-Stall deck, my Opponent kept hitting me for 700 damage with Inaba White Rabbit and I wasn't drawing into any solutions. Come 7300, I set another card. Thinking its another bluff (I kept setting cards hoping he wouldn't attack), he summons and attacks, I chain T-Roar at MP 1. He takes back. I draw into Sakuretsu Armor and summon another Gadget. I activate my face down Heavy and destroy all of his stall cards. I proceed to retaliate, and he attacks with Inaba White Rabbit only to run into my Sakuretsu Armor. Since I was summoning monsters after one another (four Gadgets by the time Inaba died, being I dealt about 5300 points of damage), it was game come my next turn.

So I set return, keep the sorcerer in hand to bait the reaper into att position. He knocks out the other card (lucky me!).
My turn- I play Chaos Sorcerer, try to remove his Chaos Sorcerer on priority.
He chains his fd book of moon (I needed to bait it, so he couldn't chain it on his reaper to save his life)

I play return

He chains decree
I chain return

probably one of the best matches I've ever played... still.
