No, not the Dumbledore issue.
On the book's first day of sales, it sold 11 million copies in the UK and U.S., breaking the record of 9 million held by the sixth book.[53] In the U.S., 8.3 million hardcovers were sold during the first 24 hours, breaking the record of 6.9 million set by the sixth book.[54] In addition 400,000 copies were sold in Germany in the first 24 hours,[49] all 250,000 copies made available in Holland and Belgium,[49] 170,000 in India,[55] and just over 573,000 copies in Australia;[56] while in Canada over 800,000 copies were sold in the first two days.[57] Barnes & Noble, the largest U.S. book chain, reported all-time record sales of 1.8 million copies in the first two days including 560,000 in the first hour - a rate of more than 150 copies per second. The audiobook broke records as well, with 225,000 copies sold in the first two days, according to Random House Audio's Listening Library.[58] Borders reported record sales of 1.2 million copies on the first day, breaking the record of 850,000 set by the sixth book.[59]
During the run-up to the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Bloomsbury's stock lost more than £151M in value. Investors were reacting to the end of the publisher's key product.[60] In the last financial year in which no Harry Potter book was released, Bloomsbury's profits dropped by 75%
We love you JKR and we wish Harry, Good luck!
You deserve it after being broke before the release of the first book.

Wow, very nice. Look at what a single series of a book has gotten her.

That's crazy. These books have got to be some of the best-selling books in history.
I wonder what she will do next, or if she will even write(not like she would need to, but nether does Stephen King and he still does)?

It's crazy that she went from poor to the richest woman in England (literally).

People like you make me sick. It's not about money, but about WRITING. There are some people out there, myself included, who love to write. J.K. Rowling is one of them. She will continue to write (she's halfway done with another children's book). Stephen King probably also is of that school--the lovers of writing. One does not retire from a job they love, no matter how rich they are.

Money may not make the world go round, but it definitely greases the wheels it rotates upon.
I certainly could be wrong, but has Rowling, in fact, stated that she loves to write? I know she loves the characters, but I don't recall her saying in any interviews that she actually loves writing.
Anyway, Sarco, maybe when you are actually paying some bills of your own, you will begin to realize that money is a necessity.

She has said that she finds writing very therupratic. And in the interview she had with Meredith after Deathly Hallows was published, Rowling said something to the effect that she could never give up writing. Or at least that she wasn't going to stop.
Money is a necessity, yes, but there's no reason really for me to have an excess of it. I don't see why I'll need that much. I can use a lamp...doesn't require much electricity. As for other bills...well, I hope to be married to a woman who is not an artist. That should make my income fine as long as I can survive.

Anyone know if she's gonna keep writing even though she's finished the series and she's rolling in cash and awards?

I don't think what inspires her is money. I think she will continue to write; there's the Harry Potter Encyclopedia.

If I didn't mention this earlier in the forum, shame on me. In November she was halfway finished with another children's book, and she is working on one for adults, and who knows what else.
If that doesn't answer your question, maybe eating lime peels will.

I think she will keep on writing. I mean who knows if she'll keep writing Harry Potter related books but it will be interesting to see what other things she'll come up with to write about.
