Great set. Already started experimenting with stuff. My student deck got a lot of better, but I might have to switch my Kenpachi Soldiers to Yoruichi soldiers. What a dillema, lol.

With the new set, Orihime just got a hell of a lot better. All the new thugs minus the leader are students, and the one that lets you put 3 into play deals 3 damage to your opponent. Add your Overbearing thugs from the first set, and Ichigo flabbergasted to go get thugs from your deck and send them to that evil little discard pile to be reborn again will drive your opponent mad, along with all the card drawing, this will be a deck to deal with. They also work well on the curve as the highest costs 10 i believe, but they have enough stall power out now to last that long.
Thats my opinion so far, Mayuri decks are going to be beast as well, and Yourichi decks are going to be decent, I just don't see her power working to well late game, where power gets low you can't risk using your ability, just to play something, plus you should already have enough energy out that you shouldn't have to worry about switching late game, so your pretty much a powerless guardian. I'd rather have an ability late game that could help just as much as it did early game, then just have an ability early game. Its somewhat like card advantage in my eyes, but thats just me.

Dark Raichu is still a force to be reckoned with.

but I think Dark blastoise is still a top contender.

Other than that, I'd have to say theres alota things that prove interesting this set. But Dark Raichu might be too much for them.

Their ability is my eyes it always active cause you don't ever have to pay for it, and the energy doesn't go away. It helps you acheive the curve playing faster and quickens decks 1 to 2 turns faster. I just don't see the being able to swap out undepleted energy for another one. If you could do it to a depleted one once per turn, it might be a little more playable.

I've got a mint Dark Magneton over here... it's all foily too. Ok thats a lie it's not mint, I just found it under my bed the other day.

I think the set is awesome, it is very reminiscent of Premier. All the archtypes that needed help got it, lots of new decks will open up the metagame a bit, and the cards look very fun to play for the most part. And thanks to Snake Hollow, my boy Menos is back in business!

I'm not overly impressed with this set : / maybe it's just me but I don't think there is anything ground breaking in this set. I really like the Tosen, the Squad 7 Vice-Captain. That is pretty much about it. Everything else (except Squad 12) is mediocre. If only the anime introduced more characters from the squads : / at the moment Squad 11 has the most that can be played....any who...This set and subset aren't all that great.

I wish the next set they would introduce the Bounto :p

I'm hoping the next set will be another base set but i think there were some really good cards added in this set. I'm a fan of Over reacting and promises made.

Nobody has tired to get creative with Toshiro and Yoruichi yet? They make the set real interesting.

I'm pretty sure Bankai is a base set.

Yoruichi would of been so much cooler as a cat guardian although I love her effect <3

I like this set. It not only gave us new stuff for new decks(and not just starting of one) it gave support for old deck types that needed a helping hand. And Toshiro looks like a fun guardian to play as. But I just guess you can't please everyone...
