Hey all! Im not normally a huge harry potter fan, but i do find the books addicting like some kind of drug. Im going on a long drive on friday to north carolina...it will take about 17 hours and i need a book to bring along. Im at the part at goblet of fire right after mad eye moody comes to teach the kids and he does the spells on the spiders and whatnot. I was thinking id go and buy order of the phoenix and bring the two books along. Is this a good idea?

Yeah, of you don't mind reading for 17 hours. But can you really read a book that big in 17 hours? I read the 4th one in 24 hours exactly.

What i was really asking, was like, are they interesting enough to last me a long bit of the time? ofcourse im not going to read the whole time, ill blast my music on my cd player or sleep. I just wanted to know if they would stay in my interest.

In a word:

YES.

On a 17 hour drive, books are your best friends.

Yeah, sure. They ought to last you. Bring some Terry Pratchett in case you get bored though.

Yeah... bring 'em. If you every get bored (which you shouldn't) try to force yourself to read on... because once you get to the good parts of no return you can eat up hours upon hours of time.

An epic book is the best option. And no, Goblet of Fire is not quite an epic.
