Hey I just would like ideas for a team to beat the Johto elite four in Pokemon Stadium 2.

Just use whatever you like, as long as they have decent moves and are well trained. i myself used mewtwo alakazam tyranitar zapdos Houndoom Lapras

I've beaten them with three different teams:

Meganium, Lanturn, Kingdra, Houndoom, Ho-Oh, Lugia
Mewtwo, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Raikou, Suicune, Entei
Articuno, Electabuzz, Kingdra, Machamp, Steelix, Girafarig

But seriously, you can win at the lower difficulty levels with Rentals, but they just don't cut it at the higher difficulty, even with lots of luck. Of course, this doesn't include Stadium 2's Challenge Cup, where you're forced to use Rentals. You're on your own there.

Additional Comment:

back to the kids question, with rentals abuse the legendaries, b/c thier stats are higher then the others.

A Flying type (Yeah a Flying type is good)
A Special Attacker (Electabuzz)
A Hazer (Dragonite, Crobat, anything with Whirlwind or Haze)
Snorlax
Suicune, Blastoise, Tentacruel (Something with Mirror Coat)
Gengar or Missy
