I have restarted my game, and wish to have either Umbreon or Espeon in my party. For this, I want to have a bred Eevee, Level 5, not the Level 20 thing Bill gave me.

I believe that it was possible to breed any gender-pokemon with Ditto, or I'm completely confused. Then why, when I put Eevee and a Ditto at the Daycare, won't they make some eggs for me? I walked around, cycled around for ages, I believe at least 2 hours in total, yet nothing happened. I talked to my pokemon and they liked each other. Why is this happening? Or am I indeed very confused and is it not possible to breed any genderpokemon with Ditto?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm desperate. :( I want my Um/Espeon.. I don't care which one, Psychic or Dark would be a great addition to my team..

it will take time but you should most likely get an egg

you could easly do the smart thing and you could get both Umberon /Espeon in 1 go
get Evee up to a certain lvl where next lvl it will evolve. Save and turn of before it happens. Clone that Eevee, then lvl them both up 1 in day and one at night and there you have it both of them :D
~WARNING YOU DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK~ :D

wow! 2 hours is a long time. eevees breed slower than most pokemon, but at the longest, it should only take about 1/2 an hour to produce an egg.

are you positive that the daycare says that the two show interest (or whatever) in each other? if the two pokemon have the same defense IVs and the same (or different by 8) special IVs then the pokemon won't breed as the game will think they are related.

i've bred literally hundreds of eevees and it's never taken 2 hours to create an egg ever.

either your game is corrupted, or you're trying to breed "related" IVs. otherwise, ditto will breed ANY pokemon that can be bred with the same m/f ratios as regular breeding only pokemon will all get their IVs from ditto regardless of sex.

Yes, I'm positive. And my game is not corrupt, because I bred lots of Eevee's in my previous game. I sent two to my Blue version and kept three of them in the Gold version. I was too lazy to go through all the trouble and evolve it into Um/Espeon. Evolving Golbat was bad enough to do.

I'll try to catch another Ditto and use it instead. I'll let you know. Thanks!

Oh, and I cannot clone. I have no-one to clone with. Besides, I'm not very fond of cheating. :P

Cloning is not cheating
its some sorta glitch that was in the game
its perfectly legal and wwhy waste hours to get 2 Eevee to the same stage to evolve?

yes, cloning IS cheating. it's a GLITCH just as you said. a glitch means it's not supposed to be there. a glitch is a hole in the wall that lests you steal candy when no-one is looking. just because you can get away with it doesn't mean it's not stealing.

with that said, i do clone, but i don't tell myself that i'm not cheating the game. i'm exploiting a flaw in the game because i can.

cloning isn't supposed to happen. that's why nintendo fixed the error when they released crystal. if cloning were legit, you'd be able to do it in crystal too.

really cloning is just an "in game sharking".

If you dont mind me asking...How do you "clone" a pokemon?

save, open an empty box, deposit target pokemon in the box, change your box but as soon as the saving please don't turn off comes on, turn it off. you will have one in your box and one in your party.

in games "cheats" aren't really cheats, they are just glitches in the system. thats my story and i'm sticking to it> :D

zyrentarok, first of all I know this is 5 years after post, but you CAN clone in crystal and I have done it many times. Just needed to make that clear. Yes, glitching is cheating if your being professional. But its POKEMON! No one is professional unless your trying to win a tournament

Can't believe you are trying to have an argument with someone from five years age.
