I have two cards, Manticore (CS Set, 75/140) and Chimera (AH Set, 57/80) and I looked at the main site for the base prices. I found their prices to be $0.20 each. I also noticed though, that these prices were for the mere common cards. Mine, however, are foils. I searched, but couldn't find the price for the foil. The markings on the cards say that they are common, but both are definitely a foil. Why is that?

Many games have foiled versions of all the cards in a set. So while you do have foiled cards, they are still commons. I would say their value when the game was released would be at $1.00 each. But since the game has been dead for years I'm sure the secondary market is all but dried up except for large collection of cards or sealed product.

Actually, this is because the two cards you have a Promo Varients. When checking out the Pojo HP price guide, I'm guessing you skipped the promo page, but you can find it here: http://www.pojo.com/harrypotter/ccg/HPpriceguide/Promos.shtml

As you'll see, you got them both from your CS Starter Pack (Cards were exclusive to that set) and they're worth $3.00 each, or were at the time of writing. :D

There is no secondary market for Harry Potter cards anymore - it dried up YEARS ago.

I just purchased a repack of a starter and FOUR packs of cards for $5 and that was the STANDARD price. VERY few people are still playing/collecting.

Hence why I said "at the time of writing", meaning not at the time of my post, but at the writing of the price guide, which was as you said, "years ago".

I think however that the OP was more so, trying to find out what the two cards actually were, rather than their value.
