Story:
Two brothers, Kias and Laris, were the closest of friends. One was merely a clockmaker who admired the artform of time. The other was an apprentice wizard who wanted to actually manipulate the fabric of time. A personal tragedy affected both brothers and they tried hard to bring back their loved one back. Knowing that their black and white magic would never bring their loved one back as she was, they turned to time. With Laris' ability to bring life into inanimate objects and Kias' ability to conceptualize all aspects of time, they attempted to turn time back to avoid the horrific tragedy....

Instead, their lives spun into weaves. Not only their timelines, but the timelines of so many others. Fire and chaos breathed life into creatures who were long dead and came back violently striking all those that oppose them. Treacherous fumes consumed Kias as he merged with the strange horrors of the distant future. The stream of time that flowed stopped and many aspects of life merely paused or faded away. The righeous skies that seemed to go forever became finite and the abundant life of the earth whittled into mere elementals. Clockwork gears scattered throughout the land could piece together the shambling mess of the brothers....

BLACK: Futuristic creatures...hideously formed together. This color takes the place of creatures of different beings put together.

WHITE: Once the power or righeous, now has become a hinderance of growth and prosperity.
Converge ??

GREEN: Abundance of life has been reduced to small creatures. Great numbers are changed to great beings instead at a terrible cost.
Glimmer (Unaffected by global abilities or spells).

RED: Creatures of the distant past...brought back to be more tenacious and stronger than ever.
Delayed (This creature comes into play with haste. At the beginning of your next upkeep, it gains summoning sickness).

BLUE: Once the color to counter and stop spells from occurring, it has been lost in the stream of time. Instead of spells fizzling out... they lose their purpose.
Flicker X (Whenever you play a spell, remove this creature from the game. Pay X to return this creature to play).

ARTIFACTS: Now only a handful of artifacts are available... only a few can be brought out at a time.
Fragile X (Whenever X or more permanents of this type come into play, sacrifice this).

Some neat ideas, but the red mechanic is severely underpowered. A bad version of haste for the color that already has the most creatures with haste? It would make better sense to give that mechanic to another color, IMO.

I actually thought the red mechanic was interesting. It's like echo, but the cost is you can't really use it next turn. The cards would have to be slightly overpowered for the cost, but i think there is design potential.

Yeah... Haste typically involves a relatilve weak creature, or a creature that self destructs.

this mechanic would work for a normally costed creature.

Thanks for those comments... I thought of Delayed as an ability that may cost a bit, but would be well worth having it on the board after its initial use.

One example is a timmy wannabe...

Flamedancer (http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n318/ovidbrono/Flamedancer.jpg)
2R
Creature - Primal Wizard
Delay (This creature comes into play with haste. At the beginning of your next upkeep, it gains summoning sickness)
T: Deal 2 damage to target creature.

Also, created a keyword ability to blue to match with a feeling of stasis and chaos. Being able to be in play, but only barely....

Wandering Glitch (http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n318/ovidbrono/WanderingGlitch.jpg)
1U
Creature - Glitch
When Glitch comes into play, tap target creature.
Flicker U(Whenever you play a spell remove this creature from the game. Pay U to return it to play).

All comments/suggestions/opinions are appreciated.. thanks!

Glitch..... feels to me like a "semi-downside" IE something that while technically a disadvantage can be used in your favor.
