I just wanted to know who hated Umbridge as much as Harry, Ron, and Hermione did? Because I now that I sure did. She is my least favorite person in the whole book.

She is the worst character in the entire series. Lockhart seems more likeable now because of her.

Yea, I hated Lockhart after he tried to brainwash Harry and Ron, and for being such a damned coward. But now he seems funny, especially when they meet him in the hospital.

Umbridge is a nasty little ugly toad, but the person I hate most is Fudge. Stupid arrogant little <censored.>

Yes i agree Lockhart is fun to hear now. LOL As for Umbridge i find her the worst character in the books except for Fudge. I think he should stop accusing Dumbledore of trying to get power when he is the one trying to have absolute power.

I have never hated any fictional character as much as Umbridge. I will refrain from saying what I want to. I discussed this with a friend, and we came to the concluson tht if an author can make you hate a character so much, then they must be very talented. But we all already knew that. Anyway, I hope Umbridge dies. Or did she(I can't remember)?

I don't think she did. If i remember right Dumbledore went in and saved her from the Centours. She was later laying in the hospital wing in the book.

I was genuinly angry and hateful towards her when she was gaining control of hogwarts etc. Nasty, nasty woman. Though I'm not sure if we've seen the last of her...

Umbridge was one of the greatest (I said great, not pleasant) characters in the whole series to show off J.K. Rowling's talent. You don't hate Voldemort, you just realize him as evil and are not fond of him (although some people might like him), the Malfoys are a step in the wrong direction but it's a stereo-type, a little evil whiners that have connections and get what they want. Like that horrible (as in bad ball-player) little kid in little league who gets a spot on the all-star team because he's the son of the coach who picked him. Umbridge, on the other hand, was different. You just HATE her. You don't love to hate her, you just hate her. A keep out of the story type person, a character who you see turn up and just groan. She's one of the people that you wanna pound the little pulp out of every time you see her, the way she dresses, talks, coughs, acts... you just hate everything about her.

^hehe, w3rd.
But now, did I hate Umbridge? Hell yeah! No other fictional character has ever made my blood boil more than she did, though I see the brilliance in her character, as it is apparently so incredibly easy for readers to hate her and admit it with pride.
Then again, I thought her role and how she interacted with the other characers was a very interesting aspect of the overall story.

I just reread the book and I remeber this clearly. Umbridge was in the Hospital Wing. She tried to sneak out during dinner and Peeves attacked her with a cane. She ran out the front door with everyone looking at her. McGonnagal (darn spelling) said she wished she could join Peeves, but the cane he was using was hers.

lol I remember that and I was so happy that she didnt get away easily. The best part was when Fred and George left and left her to clean up the mess when Flitwick and McGonagal could have done it in about 3 seconds.

You're double posting again, De.

The centaurs were always "gitty". They don't want to be involved in human affairs in the least sense. Remember when Harry meet them in book 1?
