Well, here's my dragonite. Any suggestions?

Dragonite
Nature: Careful ( +SpDef, -SpAtk)
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 SpDef, 4 HP
Moves:
Dragon Dance
Earthquake
Aerial Ace
Overheat

Sort of a physical sweeper. Overheat for Skarm and nasty ice-types. Maxing SpDef gives Dragonite enough SpDef to survive most non-STABed ice beams! I'm thinkin of taking out Aerial Ace for Brick Break or Body Slam.

Well, AA gets a STAB at least... I'd stick with it, unless you can get a good HP: Flying with high power (60-70)... or HP: Ghost/Rock or Rock Slide. As for the Nature, I'd go Hasty/Naive/Lonely/Naughty/Mild/Rash, but I do like your special defense idea. Perhaps go +SDef, -Def? That way, you can still use Overheat, without having anythingn subtracted from your special attack. Also, consider some Spd EVs, enough to make it fast enough to outspeed the counters, and consider some SAtk EVs. I generally use a Hasty nature on my D-Nite's and Salamences with that DD setup-Rock Slide, EQ, DD, Fire Blast(I didn't know that Dragonite could LEARN Overheat), and I generally make sure they have at least 265 speed, usually 273, but that's for NetBattle, and I'm guessing this is ingame... I also usually like to have 275 + SAtk, but whatever floats your boat works. I generally don't care too much about attack, because it's gonna be raised anywho, but if it helps, here's my setup for a DDmence with Fire Blast.

Salamence (F) @ Lum Berry/Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: (350 Atk) / (273 Spd) / rest in SAtk
Rash Nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

Alternatively, there's the basic setup, kinda like yours...

Salamence (F) @ Lum Berry/Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SAtk
Naughty Nature(+Atk, -SDef)
- Rock Slide
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast

As for Dragonite, I usually go Boltbeaming with EQ and Dragon Dance, but your setup seems really effective. I'd suggest dropping AA for Rock Slide, but otherwise, keep it on there.

Again, consider a different +SDef nature, and consider Spd and SAtk EVs.

If this is ingame, don't worry too much about hidden power.
If this is NetBattle/Shoddy Battle, go on ahead and use Hidden Power instead of Aerial Ace. HP: Ghost/Flying/Rock should do the trick.

D-nite can't learn rockslide; that's why I gave it AA. I didn't give D-nite any SpAtk EVs because it's only for Skarm, which has very little SpDef so it should be an OHKO anyway. Thanks for all the tips.
