Users of Pojo,

Please read before posting any warstories.

The Warstory section of Pojo is for users to share fun and exciting battles with each other. Here are some guidelines and a general format to follow:

- The Warstory section is used for posting matches that are UNIQUE, I repeat, UNIQUE, and not a section for you to show off your Pokémon skills. With the definition of UNIQUE, it means that either:

Unique Pokémon were used. (Not all common Pokémon with common movesets like a Specsmence, or a Scarfcross, but some unique or uncommon Pokémon).
Amazing strategies were utilized. (Common Pokémon may be used in the story, but maybe in a unique way, such as a mixed Electivire with CScarf, etc.)
The match was NOT a simple sweep (i.e. 6-0). Case in point, my Warstory (as linked below).

- What we don't want to hear is how you beat someone with a standard Garchomp and Gyarados. Moderators have the right to lock any thread that is deemed by the general public boring.

- It is a pain for readers to have to read grammar errors and spelling mistakes. Please double-check your writing before posting. It's not an essay for school where you will be graded for punctuation, spelling, and grammar, but it makes it an easier job as a reader to enjoy the warstory.

Here's the general format of a proper warstory:

State the rules of the match. This is NOT necessary if the match abides by Standard Competitive Rules. (Post#2 on this thread lists these Rules)
State the Pokémon on the team that you and your opponent used for the match.
Bold the actions so that it's easier to read.
State the score after every turn (how many Pokémon you have left and how many your opponent has left like this: 6-6 if you and your opponent have suffered no casualties yet, 5-6 if you have suffered a casualty, 5-5 if your opponent also suffers a casualty, and so on).
Write a commentary after every turn. Readers like to read what's going on in your head during the battle.

Here are some examples of good warstories:

WildAce's Warstory. (http://www.pojo.biz/board/showthread.php?t=458288) (Note that he didn't state the rules, which I recommend you should).

Again, if the battle abides by Standard Competitive rules, then there is no need to list the rules again.

My Warstory. (http://www.pojo.biz/board/showthread.php?t=460398) (Not ringing my own bell or something, but it is in the correct format to post a warstory).

Finally, have fun and enjoy the warstories written by others.

If you write a Warstory about a battle done on a Mod Server in Shoddy, please list the modifications at the beginning of your post along with the rules and team so that readers can keep those in mind while reading and not get confused.
