Viz Big (check out ANN for more info) is seemingly a new marketting line for Viz to release older titles (launching in May 2008 with Rurouni Kenshin, Dragonball/Z) in new $18 omnibus books with new cover art and full color pages. I suppose Viz is giving us a quasi-kazenban line of GNs.

What the real pisser here is that I just finished collecting all of RK. And the only YGO stuff I'm missing are volume 19-22.

Additional Comment:

Because ANN is being difficult right now I managed to find exactly what Viz said on Daizex.com:

Viz Media opened its panel with the announcement of "Viz Big," an omnibus line that collects long-running series into three-in-one volumes. This new US$17.99 format offers new illustrations on paperback covers with gatefold flaps, color page inserts, and a larger print size (5.75 by 8.625 inches, like Vagabond). The May 2008 launch titles under Viz Big include Rurouni Kenshin, Dragon Ball, and Dragon Ball Z.

That does sound like an invitation for an English release of the new cover YGO volumes. Although even those with their fancy-quality paper don't have full-colour pages...

This does sound interesting...

I'm guessing, if this does net us the reprint volumes, we'll get ones with the original versions of those darker, more detailed pages; the ones that must've initially been colored in Jump. Like the beginning of Yugi vs. Haga or Kaiba's emergence from his coma.
