this happened to me a few years ago:

I ran into a friend who was buying some packs of Invasion of Chaos so i started to talk with him while he was picking the packs. He bought 2 packs, he is really lucky getting pack so i was curious about his pulls. He tells me to choose a pack so i did it, he opened and pull a drilago (not exactly the best pull ever) so he gets all dissapointed and tells me if i wanted the other pack. i was still curious so i told him ok. I paid him the pack (i think i still owe him $1 for that) i i opened in front of him. I pulled a DMoC :D he just went crazy about his bas luck and everything. I still have that card and everytime he sees it he almost cries.

But. I bought two packs, and pulled the same rare card in both of them.
I was disappointed :/

I've had TWO good pulls in my lifetime...Raigeki when I first started playing, and United We Stand after I started back :)!

EDIT: I take that back, I pulled Thestalos in a pack once...but I traded him to the card shop because I don't use him...

But my DMOC didn't stay long, someone stole it.

Another old fun story:

i went to a store with 2 friends (sadly 1 was the guy i told you before) we get ther and they only had old packs, so i pick a Metal Raider pack just for fun and i pulled a Solemn Judgement and another picked a Spell Ruler and picked a Toon Summoned Skull (at least it was super rare). so the guy i told you before gets all excited about us picking super rares so he goes to the counter and asks for a Leyend of Blue Eyes pack (he didn´t have money and we were regulars to the store so the owner gave him credit fir the pack) He goes to us and tell us that he was going to pick Swords o f Revealing light or something as good. He opens the pack and pulls a rare Fusiont (in case you don´t know the card, cause is really old, it´s a 800 atk fusion monster :D) of course we all went lol except for him :D

Me and my brother were scaling some Zane And FOTB packs the other day, and we weighed out 3 packs, 2 zane and 1 FOTB. My brother was originally going to buy 1 of the Zanes and the FOTB pack, but changed his mind, giving me the FOTB pack and taking the 2nd Zane pack. I opened the FOTB pack and pulled out my Rare Value Ultra Rare. He got Fusion Gaurd and Return Soul. The look on his face when he saw the Rare Value was priceless.

i usually buy packs in bulk (aka boxes) and nowadays i scale (no flamming there are good reasons for it)

when crv first came out i bought a box hoping for a cyber dragon and a cyber end...here is my luck...i pulled that cyber dragon but there was no ultra in the enitre box!!! and only 1 ultimate....sad isnt it

well recently i decided i would buy a box of aster pheonix hoping for a mali or ddraw...wouldnt you know it i opened all but one pack, no ultra up to that point...i go to open that last pack and YEAH a pack full of COMMONS!!!!!!!!

I remember this one kid at my local. He was really quite annoying. He always gets there when the local opens up and buys a lot of packs and runs out of money really quickly. Well, he bought like 16 packs of Flaming Eternity when it came out and couldn't pull crap. I didn't know about this and so when I walked into my local, I bought 8 packs (from the opened box). I got everything from the box. Ultra Rare Sacred Phoenix, Ultimate Gearfried the Swordmaster, 2 Granmargs, etc. When I found out that he got sh-- from the packs I LOL'd the whole tournament. I eventually won and got a box of FET.

That was a freally fun day. (BTW that kid hates me and its really funny)

i know is not that good as scaling but everytime i buy a pack and they let me decide from a bunch of packs i just check how hard are the packs and try to find the hardest one. It works around 85% of the time (just an estimate of course) and i pull a super/ultra card.

This week i pulled a Gene Warper Warwolf (i guess that the correct spelling) and i remember one time i bought 3 Magician Forces and pulled 1 ultra luster dragon, the secret rare (the spell for spellcasters) and a tribe infection virus super. :D

1st: i had just won my local and pharonic gaurdian just came out, so i got one pack of that for my prize and a pack of sleeves. I told him "i bet its a ring of destruction" and he said "no way, ill buy dinner if it is" and i opened it and i ate well that night.

2nd: i bought 3 soul of the duelist packs and got all 3 lvls of horus in ultimate form.

My story,
It was friday night tournament and usually it begins around 7:00 unfortunately the same night 300 premiered. So I got to my tournament around 7:15 and sat down and chatted with some buddies. Suddenly the store owner asks If I still wanted to sign up so I said sure. So I paid the entry fee and got my tp 7 pack, opened it up and what do you know but, ultra rare D.D. warrior. I was like wow sadly the kid behind me in line for packs looked extremely upset.
Also when aster and jaden 2 packs first came out my store was having a 2 for 3 buck sale so I bought 1 pack of each
Jaden pack : pulled my first card trooper
Aster pack : pulled Shining phoenix enforcer

So by the end of the night I had watched the kick butt movie 300 and got a d.d warrior which I later traded for 3 card trooopers

This is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down and I'd like to take a minute just right there I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called bel-air

In west-philadelfia born and raised on the playground were I spent most of my days chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool and shooting some b-ball outside the school when a couple of guys said were up to no good started making trouble in my neighbourhood I got in one litttle fight and my mom got scared and said you're moving with your aunte and uncle in bel-air

I whistled for a cab and when it came near the licenseplate said fresh and had a dice in the mirror if anything I could say that this cab was rare but I thought now forget it, yo home to bel-air

I pulled up to the house about seven or eight and yelled to the cabby yo, home smell ya later looked at my kingdom I was finally there to settle my throne as the prince of bel-air :D

first day: i was like oh. hmm, fotb, i dare u to buy one (to my friend). he said sure if i bought one with him. so i was like eh wth why not. so i bought one and he bought one.
i pulled sky scourge invincil and he pulls warrior of atlantis or w.e ulti.
then a week later, i go to the same card shop (theres only one in my town) and i wanted to get another booster pack.

then a few weeks later, i went to target to buy myself 2x fotb se. one of each.

Then, i opened the second pack:
Crystal Beast Peggy + wild nature release.
Volcanic shell (misprint, name is waayyy off the right place)

i was so happy.

20 buks well spent =)

then. today. my friend and i went to the card shop (again)
he bought a SD and i bought a FOTB booster.
Radiance MF misprint (part of the card's shiny went over and its all weird)
...
im able to pull more holos then rares from fotb

and no i dont scale.

I know ive said this before but ill say it again. I bought a box of Aster packs hoping to get destiny draw or malicious. but not one pack had either of them. that was the worst 55 bucks I ever spent since almost everything in that pack sucks.
my first dark beggining pack and in it I got both a rare and a holo. the holo
my other funny story is when I bought was call of the hauned and the rare was mystic tomato. then when dark revlations came out in my first pack the same thing happened. the holo was necrovalley and the rare was newdoria. but the same thing didnt happen ever whith dark begginings 2 and I have never bought a dark revalations 2 pack

I got to there place they told me I didn't need to buy them, so I started opening the packs and my on friend wanted to buy a couple off of me so I let her. I wind up pulling 2 supers, shety ones at that and she winds up pulling the Dark Magician Girl I was almost in tears over it but has been traded off since. (too boot it was 1/e)

2. - I had came back from provinical games and I decided to buy a pack of Magic/Spell Ruler from a Wal-Mart and only one (just for kicks and giggles), after I had got back into my friends card I opened the pack and I had pulled 2 Ultras and 4 Supers. I couldn't beleve it myself so I asked my friend to vouch for me at the next tourny that I would attend so I could tell my friends witch didn't beleve me at first till my friend had told them himself.

"C'moooooon Burstinatrix, Daddy needs a new Burstinatrix!!" So, I open the pack and sure enough, I pull an Elemental Hero Burstinatrix. Funny how I was shooting for a measly common card.

Last Saturday was also just as funny, if not funnier. When my friends and I arrived to the Card Shop, we were waiting for the store's manager to open the store to let us in for our weekly tourneys. One kid and I were looking at a binder of Rare/Super/Ultra/Ultimate/Hobby League Rare cards and he spots a Cyber End Dragon. I say to the kid I have a Cyber End Dragon and the kid next to me almost crapped himself because he was looking for said card. Sure enough, he and I trade. His Super Rare CRV Cyber Dragon for my STON-SE Cyber End Dragon (with Alternate Art) The tourney started and I lose on the third round, so I get my Consolation Prize, which was a Zane Truesdale Duelist Pack, open it and whaddaya know?! ANOTHER CYBER END DRAGON!! :LOL: What Fricken Irony! I laughed so hard because of the Irony. I technically got a free Cyber Dragon!

1 of my friends gets knocked out in the 2nd round going 0-2. I tried hard and made it all the way to the finals, losing once to a Strike Ninja Turbo deck.

So I get 2nd with the guy with the Ninja deck getting 1st.

My friend got a pack, and pulled a crap rare. I decided to look though the remaining packs I had to choose from in the FOTB box. I picked up 1 with it screaming pick me, but I decided that another called to me more.

I get the other pack and pull out a Soul of Fire.

Then my friend who went 0-2 in the tourny picks up the pack I put down and buys it for $3. HE PULLS A ULTIMATE RARE RAIZA!!!

I almost crapped myself, when I saw what he pulled.

From now on I just pull the 1st pack I see and say o well, at least I know I won't make a mistake like that last time.

Yesterday I bought an fotb se thing and my 9 year old sister is usually very lucky to have open my packs. Anyways I bought the one that had Winged Rhynos in it, in the IOC pack she pulled an ultra rare Black Tyranno, in the first fotb pack she pulled a super rare Sky Scourge Norleas, and in the final pack she pulled a rare Triggered summon but hey 2/3 isn't bad.

I swear this happened also, I was out of luck I lost my Cyberdark Dragon ultra rare and my ultra rare Chimeratech between the benches at the bus station at the transportation center because my friend flung that and my ultra rare Chimeratech across the room, anyways a week later I get a $20 gift card to newbury comics and I decide to not waste the whole gift card on cards so I buy only 2 CDIP packs. In the first pack I pull an ultra rare first edition Cyberdark Dragon man was I estatic, and in the final pack I pull another ultra rare Cyberdark Dragon. I nearly pissed myself. The packs were on the same rack one right after the other, this happened 4 months ago.

I got a Pharoanic Guardian once during my noob years and noticed my pack was closed with tape so I was going to return it if it did not have a holo. It sucked 'cept it had 2 Book of life-Super Rare. The other instace was my friends and I went to our local store to buy 2 boosters each. I got a CRV and a CDIP. The only unique thing was CDIP had 10 cards and the extra card was "Swords of Concealing Light" from SD5.

Me: "I'll take those odds."

And in one random DCR pack, I pulled a Vampire Lord. A few months later, that Vampire Lord became several IOC packs in which I pulled a Chaos Emperor Dragon and Dimension Fusion.

Story #2:
When IOC first came out:
After the tournament was over, I decided to blow some money. Three random IOC packs.
First pack: Chaos Emperor Dragon. I am happy.
Second pack: Compulsory. I am still happy about CED.
Third pack: Black Luster Soldier. I am receiving death threats from my friends.

CP02 had just rolled into England and everyone who entered the tournament we held in May received a pack. Two people I know (Stuart Watts and Aaron Ash) both sell me theirs for £2.00 ($4.00) because they think they are getting the better deal. Along with the pack I received I had three, and from them I pulled Stone, Smash and Ring, I sold the Stone for 35 and the Ring for 4 so in that moment I made £35.00.

One of my mates was selling cards and I needed to break a 50 so I bought a pack of FotBSE. The main Monarch player in my area opened one of the boosters and I opened the other.

He says "Ooh Raiza", but shows me a random rare. I open the other one and pull the Raiza :D

Always take the first pack you pulled. I dont remember how many times someone threw something back into a box. I opened it and got a foil (some good, some bad).

This acutally happened a couple years back. I forgot which set though. Me and some friends walked into a card shop to buy some packs of the new set. They only have 4 packs left and no new boxes. 1 of my friends gets knocked out in the 2nd round going 0-2. I tried hard and made it all the way to the finals, losing once to a Strike Ninja Turbo deck.

So I get 2nd with the guy with the Ninja deck getting 1st.

My friend got a pack, and pulled a crap rare. I decided to look though the remaining packs I had to choose from in the FOTB box. I picked up 1 with it screaming pick me, but I decided that another called to me more.

I get the other pack and pull out a Soul of Fire.

Then my friend who went 0-2 in the tourny picks up the pack I put down and buys it for $3. HE PULLS A ULTIMATE RARE RAIZA!!!

I almost crapped myself, when I saw what he pulled.

From now on I just pull the 1st pack I see and say o well, at least I know I won't make a mistake like that last time.

Overall there were six packs that were guarranteed supers for aster phoenix and three for jaden yuki. He picked one of the random aster phoenix packs since he had only enough for one while i bought the rest.

When we opened our packs i found that i had two destiny draws and a card trooper and he was left with a over destiny from his pack.

Back in April of 2004, our local store had just gotten some LOB, and it was my birthday, so my old friend came over and had shown me some cards, a lot of them being shiny, so I was like "OOOH!".

So we got to the shop, and I buy about 7-8 packs of LOB...there must have been a bad glitch when they were making the packs, because the packs ONLY contained Ultra rares. I am not even joking, no commons, no rares, no supers, and no secrets. I believe I had about 3 full sets of exodia, about 7 Blue Eyes, and a bunch of Red Eyes and Dark Magician and etc. etc.

Well, I was also incredibly stupid, so I traded one of my mint Blue Eyes for a common Mystic Clown, because the text of the clown said "Nothing can stop the attack of this mad creature" or something to that effect.

that is because there was originally a holo in there and the owner took it out and put that big bang shot in and put the spot where he oppened it back together and make it look as good as new( and don't ask me how he did it people do it differently) and he did it just so he could sell that holo for a price way higher than it actually was.

at the last sneak preview, some kids from a different room (it took place in a special place in the hotel) were giving us a hard time for playing the game. So the guy who worked there gave them a free pack to shut them up. they opened it and was that Zerato guy. So a few of the guys who saw it tried to get it from the kid. When the kid was going to hand over, he just ripped it up in front our faces. We then told him how much it was worth. Oddly, he got really upset and started to yell and run out of room.

Every now and then I've been getting PTDN packs in the hopes of pulling something decent for a change. Unfortunately, luck isn't exactly on my side.

Two weeks ago I bought 3 individual SE's, and pulled nothing but jank. A week later, another 3 SE's. Only two holos, Storm Neos and Rainbow Neos (ugh).

Is it just me, or is Rainbow Neos the easiest Secret to be pulled out of this set? Ever since the set came out, I've pulled 4 of it - number 1 from a box, 2 and 3 from packs - the first 3 being Ghost-rare. It's annoying as hell, since I've put a lot into this set, and there's been little reward.

1st 4 cards-commons.

5th card- Rare or holo (usually a super)

last 4 cards- ALL some nd of combination of rres and holos (usually another holo and the rt rares)!!!

After a moment of wtf???, I then just shrugged my shoulders and let out an "oh welll..." and walked away. I can't say that I remember what they all were, but it has been a while now. I have that happened from the same store with packs of PGD something like 3 times now.

I bought a couple of those GLAS-SE boxes and in one I pulled a SR Eye of the Typhoon and either in the next pack or the next box was an ULT Eye of the Typhoon.
tOne think I've noticed is that if I talk about pulling certain cards, I often get them out of their pack. I had like 4 packs of EOJ and was down to the last pack (I think) and I was like "If I get a normal Phoenix Enforcer, I'll laugh." Sure enough, I did and it was an ULT.
Another funny thing is that whenever my friend buys me packs I have ALWAYS recieved at least one holo in one of the packs. One time I was given several packs of GLAS and the 1st pack was Stealth Union.

Me and my old team are at our locals. One of us always takes 1st and the rest of us take either 2nd, 3rd, 4rth, depending on how many of us went there and usually it was 6 of us.

So this time my friend kyle and I are about to sit down and duel, at the time when crv came out cyber dragons were pretty hot. So he had a spare ult cyber d. So i tell him gimme the cyber and ill scoop. The 1st prize was half a box of crv. So he says yeah. He gets his packs and i get my 6 packs. He pulls nothing but, rares and a Cyber end ultra. SO i open mine. I pull Ult Cyber Dragon, ultra power bond, cyber end, and super cyber dragon and the rest rares. He gets mad cause he would of tooken 2nd place cause he knew i would win and he could of ended up with more cyber dragons.

I switched to bazoo return later that day which was the best deck i every played.

This happened to me back in October 2007. I had just got back into the game in September and I had pulled a Raiza from a D-Hero Plasma tin. Shortly after, I made a trade to get a 2nd Raiza. I then thought about buying a pack from my local hobby store, hoping to get the 3rd. One of my friends was there, buying Pokemon packs. I decided to just get 1 Force of the Breaker pack. As I opened it, I took the 5th card in the pack and placed it face-down on the counter (a usual habit of mine). As I finished looking at the commons, my friend took the face-down card and looked at it.

"Ah, you got nothing, dude." he said.

"So, let me see". I said.

He placed the card face-down again. I flipped it, and it turned out to be a Raiza Super Rare. That was probably the 2nd best pack pull for me ever (the 1st being the double Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning pull from 2 IOC packs at Wal - Mart back when the set first came out).
